Abstract
【解決手段】最外層、最内層、および最外層と最内層との間に位置する少なくとも1層のバリア層を含む多層ボトルであって、該最外層および最内層が、主としてテレフタル酸およびエチレングリコールを重合して得た熱可塑性ポリエステル樹脂により構成され、かつバリア層の酸素透過係数、厚みおよび配向度を特定範囲としたことを特徴とする多層ボトル。

Description
(1)OTR≦0.2cc・mm/(m2・day・atm)
(OTRは、温度23℃、相対湿度50%RHの条件下で測定した胴部バリア層の平均酸素透過係数である);
(2)20≦胴部バリア層配向度(平均値)≦45
(配向度は、アッベ屈折計を用いて23℃で測定したバリア層の屈折率から下記式:
配向度 = [{n(x)+ n(y)}/2 − n(z)] × 1000
(n(x):ボトル高さ方向の屈折率、n(y):ボトル周方向の屈折率、n(z):厚み方向の屈折率)により求められる);および
(3)0≦b/a×100≦200
(a:胴部バリア層平均厚み(μm)、b:底部バリア層平均厚み(μm))
の条件を同時に満たし、
上記各式において、ボトル接地部からボトル開口部までの高さのボトル接地部から20%までの部分を前記底部と定義し、底部以外の部分で、ボトル接地部の最大外径の80%以上の外径を有する部分を前記胴部と定義し、前記接地部とはボトルを立てたときに、床に接地する部分を意味することを特徴とする多層ボトルに関する。
(1)OTR≦0.2cc・mm/(m2・day・atm)
(ただし、OTRは、胴部バリア層の平均酸素透過係数である);
(2)20≦DOR≦45
(ただし、DORは胴部バリア層の平均配向度である);および
(3)0≦b/a×100≦200
(ただし、a:胴部バリア層平均厚み(μm)、b:底部バリア層平均厚み(μm))
を同時に満たす。
本発明においては、ボトル接地部からボトル開口部までの高さの下から20%までの部分を「底部」、底部以外の部分で、ボトル接地部の最大外径の80%以上の外径を有する部分を「胴部」と定義する。接地部とは、ボトルを立てたときに、床に接地する部分を意味する。前記外径は、胴部や接地部の断面形状が円形の場合は直径、断面形状が4角形、6角形などの多角形の場合には対角線長さを表す。接地部の外径は、ボトルの底にインクを付け、紙に押し付けるなどの方法により測定することが可能である。本発明においては、ボトル胴部に強度保持等の目的で凹部及び/又は凸部を設けた場合、図1〜3に示したように、凸部および凹部が無いと仮定したときの外径に相当する長さを凹部及び/又は凸部を有する部分の外径とする。
配向度 = [{n(x)+ n(y)}/2 − n(z)] × 1000
(n(x):ボトル高さ方向の屈折率、n(y):ボトル周方向の屈折率、n(z):厚み方向の屈折率)
また、同様に求めた底部バリア層配向度(平均値)は、20〜45の範囲であることが好ましく、25〜45がより好ましい。
(1)配向度
アタゴ製アッベ屈折計DR−M2を使用し、23℃にてナトリウムD線(589nm)を使用し、バリア層の屈折率を測定した後、前述の式により配向度を求めた。
(2)層間剥離高さ
ASTM D2463−95 ProcedureBに基づき、ボトルの落下試験により層間剥離高さ(層間剥離が起こる最小落下距離)を求めた。まず、多層ボトルに水を満たしキャップをした後、多層ボトルを底部が床に接触するように垂直落下させ、層間剥離の有無を目視で判定した。落下高さ間隔は15cm。テストボトル数は30本。
(3)酸素透過係数(OTR)
23℃、相対湿度50%の雰囲気下にてASTM D3985に準じて測定した。測定は、モダンコントロールズ社製、OX−TRAN 10/50Aを使用した。尚、バリア層のOTRはボトルを丁寧に解体し、胴部バリア層のみ取り出し測定した。なお、バリア層のみを取り出すのが困難なときは、ボトル胴部から切り出した多層フィルム片のOTRを測定した後に、顕微鏡などで各層の厚みを測定し、ポリエステルA層の既知OTR値を利用して、バリア層のみのOTR値を計算することができる。また、ボトルのOTRを測定し、ボトルの表面積、各層厚みおよびポリエステルA層の既知OTR値からバリア層のOTRを計算することもできる。
下記の条件により、ポリエステル層/バリア層/ポリエステル層からなる3層プリフォーム(27g)を射出成形し、冷却後、プリフォームを加熱し2軸延伸ブロー成形を行い、多層ボトルを得た。ブロー条件を表1に示す。また、多層ボトルのバリア層厚みを表2に、OTR、層間剥離性および配向度を表3に示す。
(1)ポリエステル層
固有粘度(フェノール/テトラクロロエタン=6/4(重量比)の混合溶媒中、30℃で測定)が0.75のポリエチレンテレフタレート(日本ユニペット製 RT543C)。
(2)バリア層
相対粘度(樹脂1g/96%硫酸100ml、測定温度25℃)が2.70のポリアミドMXD6(三菱ガス化学製 MXナイロン S6007(固相重合品))。
(3)3層プリフォーム
全長95mm、外径22mm、肉厚4.2mm。名機製作所(株)製の射出成形機(型式:M200、4個取り)を使用して製造した。
(4)3層プリフォーム成形条件
スキン側射出シリンダー温度:280℃
コア側射出シリンダー温度 :260℃
金型内樹脂流路温度 :280℃
金型冷却水温度 :15℃
プリフォーム中のバリア樹脂の割合:5重量%
(5)多層ボトル
全長223mm、外径65mm、内容積500ml、底部形状はシャンパンボトルタイプ、胴部にディンプルは無し。なお、2軸延伸ブロー成形はフロンティア社製ブロー成形機(型式:EFB1000ET)を使用した。
ブロー条件を表1に記載のものに変更した以外は実施例1と同様にして多層ボトルを得た。結果を表2および表3に示す。
Claims (5)
- 最外層、最内層、および最外層と最内層との間に位置する少なくとも1層のバリア層を含む胴部を有する多層ボトルであって、該最外層および最内層が、テレフタル酸を80モル%以上含むジカルボン酸成分およびエチレングリコールを80モル%以上含むジオール成分を重合して得た熱可塑性ポリエステル樹脂により主として構成され、かつ下記(1)〜(3):
(1)OTR≦0.2cc・mm/(m2・day・atm)
(OTRは、温度23℃、相対湿度50%RHの条件下で測定した胴部バリア層の平均酸素透過係数である);
(2)20≦胴部バリア層配向度(平均値)≦45
(配向度は、アッベ屈折計を用いて23℃で測定したバリア層の屈折率から下記式:
配向度 = [{n(x)+ n(y)}/2 − n(z)] × 1000
(n(x):ボトル高さ方向の屈折率、n(y):ボトル周方向の屈折率、n(z):厚み方向の屈折率)により求められる);および

- 熱可塑性ポリエステル樹脂層/バリア層/熱可塑性ポリエステル樹脂層/バリア層/熱可塑性ポリエステル樹脂層の5層構造を有する請求項1に記載の多層ボトル。
- 前記バリア層が、メタキシリレンジアミンを70モル%以上含むジアミン成分と、炭素数4〜20のα,ω−直鎖脂肪族ジカルボン酸を50モル%以上含むジカルボン酸成分とを重縮合して得られるポリアミドにより主として構成される請求項1に記載の多層ボトル。
- 多層ボトル総重量に対する前記バリア層の重量が1〜20重量%である請求項1に記載の多層ボトル。
