Abstract
【解決手段】3原色RGBそれぞれの単色に最適な有機EL素子をストライプ状にパターン化した有機ELパネル100からの各単色RGB光107を液晶パネル108で調光して各単色RGB出力光110とする。また、調光された光107の色純度と表示の視認性を向上させる場合には、ブラックマトリクス付きカラーフィルタ109を通す。

Claims (11)
- 背面から導入した光の強度や波長を変換して前面に導出する表示装置において、前記背面に用いる光源は、2色以上のエリアパターンを有し、そのエリアパターンからの発光の強度や波長を変換することを特徴とする表示装置
- 前記光源が、有機EL素子からなることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の表示装置
- 前記有機EL素子は、その前面に半透明反射機能を有する膜を有し、その背面に反射機能を有する膜を有することにより光共振器構造としたことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の表示装置
- 前記有機EL素子の発光波長域は、赤色波長域、緑色波長域、青色波長域の3領域であることを特徴とする請求項2又は3に記載の表示装置
- 前記有機EL素子の発光波長域は、可視短波長側波長域、可視長波長側波長域の2領域であることを特徴とする請求項2又は3に記載の表示装置
- 前記可視短波長側波長域、可視長波長側波長域の2領域は、平面状に形成した可視短波長側波長域の発光層上に、可視長波長側波長域の発光層をパターン状に部分的に形成することを特徴とする請求項5に記載の表示装置
- 前記可視短波長側波長域の発光層の励起寿命は、可視長波長側波長域の発光層の励起寿命より長いことを特徴とする請求項6に記載の表示装置
- 前記可視短波長側波長域の発光層からの発光は、燐光発光であることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の表示装置
- 平面状に2色以上のエリアパターンを有する有機ELパネル上に、そのエリアパターンと同一又は整数倍の周期で、有機ELパネルからの発光を部分的に遮蔽する遮蔽部を有する透明板を設置し、有機ELパネルと透明板との配置状態によって、前面に出射する出力光の色調を変えることを特徴とする発光パネル
- 前記有機ELパネルは、その前面に半透明反射機能を有する膜を有し、その背面に反射機能を有する膜を有することにより光共振器構造とした有機EL素子からなることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の発光パネル
- 平板状の可視短波長側発光層上に、可視長波長側発光層を部分的に形成した共振器構造の有機EL素子からなる発光パネルにおいて、可視短波長側発光層の部分では、その可視短波長の共振器長を有し、可視短波長側発光層上に可視長波長側発光層を追加形成した部分では、追加形成した可視長波長側発光層の膜厚によって、その可視長波長に適した共振器長となることを特徴とする発光パネル
