Abstract
【解決手段】 支持支柱の両側に並んで設置された2基のタービン(3)を備える海中発電装置(1)であり、各タービン(3)は反対方向に回転する1組のタービンブレードを有する。装置(1)は、1対の係留ケーブル(7)に点(9)で枢転式に相互接続されている。タービン(3)は、無潮流時にはそれらが垂直上方を向くように明確に浮力を示す。潮流が矢印Aによって示された方向に流れる時、タービン(3)および支持支柱の抗力は、装置(1)を枢軸点(9)に関して旋回させ、(10)によって指示された状態に傾倒させる。流れが方向を変え始めると、装置(1)を通過して流れる水流の大きさは減少する。それに応じて、装置(1)は、垂直状態に戻って浮くようになる。最終的に、潮流の作用により、水は矢印Bによって示された方向に流れ始め、そして装置(1)は(12)によって指示された姿勢に傾倒する。

Claims (9)
- 水流から電力を生成するための装置であって、前記装置は、
それぞれの第1の部分および、前記第1の部分に対する水流によってそれぞれの軸に関して回転するように適応されたそれぞれの第2の部分を備える少なくともひとつの明確に浮力を示すタービン(positively buoyant turbine)であって、当該または各前記タービンの質量中心および浮力の中心は、当該または各前記タービンの軸が非流水中(non−flowing watar)においてほぼ垂直の配向(orientation)を採るように適応されるように互いに離間されている、前記タービンと、
水没状態の当該または各前記タービンを水域(body of water)の底に係留するための少なくとも1本の係留ケーブルと、
を備えた前記装置。 - 少なくとも1基の前記タービンは、複数の前記係留ケーブルによって水域の底に連結されている、請求項1記載の装置。
- 1対の前記係留ケーブルを分離する少なくとも1つのスペーサ部材をさらに含む、請求項2記載の装置。
- 複数の前記タービンは互いに堅く(剛直に、rigidly)連結されている、上記請求項のいずれか1つに記載の装置。
- 少なくとも1対の前記相互接続されたタービンの第2の部分は、互いに相反する方向で回転するように適応されている、請求項4記載の装置。
- 少なくともひとつの前記タービンは発電装置をさらに備える、上記請求項のいずれか1つに記載の装置。
- 前記タービンに接続されており、発生した電気を前記タービンから遠隔の場所に移す(remove)ように適応された少なくとも1本の電気ケーブルをさらに含む、請求項6記載の装置。
- 少なくとも1本の前記係留ケーブルは剛性である、上記請求項のいずれか1つに記載の装置。
- 水流から電力を生成する装置であって、添付図面に関して実質的に上文に記載された装置。
