Abstract
Description
本発明は、上記のような問題点を解決するためになされたものであって、その目的とするところは、予め記述されたユーザ端末特性及びユーザ映像再生趣向特性を含む使用環境情報を利用して、映像コンテンツを適応変換する装置及びその方法を提供することにある。
図4は、図3の適応変換プロセス(S305)を説明するためのフローチャートである。図4に示されているように、映像適応変換手段103は、映像データ収集手段101が収集した映像コンテンツ及び映像メタデータを確認して(S401)、映像コンテンツをユーザ端末特性及びユーザ映像再生趣向特性に適合するように適応変換させ(S403)、ステップS403の映像コンテンツ適応変換処理結果に応じて、対応する映像メタデータ情報の内容を適応変換させる(S405)。

Claims (16)
- 単一ソース複数使用のための映像コンテンツ適応変換装置において、
映像コンテンツを消費するユーザ端末から映像使用環境情報を収集して記述し、かつ管理する、映像使用環境情報の管理手段と、
前記映像使用環境情報に適合する映像コンテンツが前記ユーザ端末に出力されるように、前記映像コンテンツを適応変換させる映像適応変換手段と
を含み、
前記映像使用環境情報は、
前記映像コンテンツに対するユーザ端末特性情報及びユーザ映像再生趣向特性情報を含むことを特徴とする映像コンテンツ適応変換装置。 - 前記ユーザ端末特性情報は、
前記ユーザ端末の符号化/復号化性能と関連した情報を含み、
前記映像適応変換手段は、
前記符号化/復号化性能と関連した情報に基づいて映像コンテンツを変化させて、ユーザ端末に伝送されるように映像コンテンツを適応変換させることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の映像コンテンツ適応変換装置。 - 前記符号化/復号化性能情報は、前記ユーザ端末の秒当たり処理される最大交点数(maximum vertices)情報を含むことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の映像コンテンツ適応変換装置。
- 前記符号化/復号化性能情報は、前記ユーザ端末のスクリーンバッファに描画される秒当たりの最大ピクセル数情報を含むことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の映像コンテンツ適応変換装置。
- 前記符号化/復号化性能情報は、前記ユーザ端末の映像処理プロセッサと映像メモリとの間の最大伝送率情報を含むことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の映像コンテンツ適応変換装置。
- 前記ユーザ映像再生趣向特性情報は、
映像コンテンツの映像オブジェクト(graphic objects)の幾何学的特性に対する選好度を含み、
前記映像適応変換手段は、
前記幾何学的特性に対する選好度に基づいて映像コンテンツの映像オブジェクトの幾何学的特性を変化させて、ユーザ端末に伝送されるように映像コンテンツを適応変換させることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の映像コンテンツ適応変換装置。 - 前記映像再生趣向特性情報は、
映像コンテンツの映像オブジェクトの質感特性に対する選好度を含み、
前記映像適応変換手段は、
前記質感特性に対する選好度に基づいて映像コンテンツの映像オブジェクトの質感特性を変化させて、ユーザ端末に伝送されるように映像コンテンツを適応変換させることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の映像コンテンツ適応変換装置。 - 前記ユーザ映像再生趣向特性情報は、
アニメーション映像オブジェクトが秒当たり見せる映像の数に対するユーザ選好度を含み、
前記映像適応変換手段は、
前記選好度に基づいて、アニメーション映像オブジェクトの特性を変化させて、前記ユーザ端末に伝送されるように映像コンテンツを適応変換させることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の映像コンテンツ適応変換装置。 - 単一ソース複数使用のための映像コンテンツ適応変換方法において、
映像コンテンツを消費するユーザ端末から映像使用環境情報を収集して記述し、かつ管理する第1ステップと、
前記映像使用環境情報に適合する映像コンテンツが前記ユーザ端末に出力されるように、前記映像コンテンツを適応変換させる第2ステップと
を含み、
前記映像使用環境情報は、
前記映像コンテンツに対するユーザ端末特性情報及びユーザ映像再生趣向特性情報を含むことを特徴とする映像コンテンツ適応変換方法。 - 前記ユーザ端末特性情報は、
前記ユーザ端末の符号化/復号化性能と関連した情報を含み、
前記第2ステップは、
前記符号化/復号化性能と関連した情報に基づいて映像コンテンツを変化させて、ユーザ端末に伝送されるように映像コンテンツを適応変換させることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の映像コンテンツ適応変換方法。 - 前記符号化/復号化性能情報は、前記ユーザ端末の秒当たり処理される最大交点数(maximum vertices)情報を含むことを特徴とする請求項10に記載の映像コンテンツ適応変換方法。
- 前記符号化/復号化性能情報は、前記ユーザ端末のスクリーンバッファに描画される秒当たりの最大ピクセル数情報を含むことを特徴とする請求項10に記載の映像コンテンツ適応変換方法。
- 前記符号化/復号化性能情報は、前記ユーザ端末の映像処理プロセッサと映像メモリとの間の最大伝送率情報を含むことを特徴とする請求項10に記載の映像コンテンツ適応変換方法。
- 前記ユーザ映像再生趣向特性情報は、
