Claims (6)
- 磁気記録媒体であって、
基板と、
前記基板上に形成された垂直磁気異方性を示す磁気記録層であって、パターン化領域および非パターン化領域により画定された表面変型のパターンを含む磁気記録層とを含み、前記パターン化領域が前記非パターン化領域とは異なる仕方で磁化されている媒体。 - 前記パターン化領域の少なくとも一部が5.0μm未満の幅を画定する、請求項1に記載の媒体。
- 前記パターン化領域がバンプを含み、前記非パターン化領域が前記バンプ間の領域を含んでいて、
前記パターン化領域が、バンプ、ピット、リッジ、レール、チャネルおよびグルーブからなる群から選択された特徴を含む、請求項1に記載の媒体。 - 前記基板と前記磁気記録層との間に形成されていて、前記表面変型のパターンを画定する層を更に含み、前記磁気記録層が前記表面変型のパターンに実質的に合致する、請求項1に記載の媒体。
- 前記パターン化領域が全て実質的に同様に磁化されて、前記非パターン化領域が無作為に磁化されている、請求項1に記載の媒体。
- 前記パターン化領域が、前記非パターン化領域の極性とは反対の極性に磁化される、請求項1に記載の媒体。
