Claims (11)
- 電気化学的分極によって伝導性基板上にポリ[Me(R−サレン)]型の酸化還元ポリマーを堆積し、前記重合がアノードとして働く基板とカソードとして働く対電極の間の電圧で行われ、アノードとカソードの両方とも電解液中に浸漬され、
該電解液は
有機溶媒と、
前記溶媒中に溶解可能であり、−3.0Vから+1.5Vの電位の範囲内で電気化学的に不活性な0.01モル/l以上の濃度の化合物イオンを形成することの可能な化合物であって、前記化合物のカチオンが前記電解質のカチオンよりも大きな直径を有する化合物と、
5×10−5モル/l以上の濃度のポリ[Me(R−サレン)]金属錯体(ただしMeは少なくとも2段階の異なる酸化状態を有する遷移金属であり、Rは電子授与置換基であり、サレンはシッフ塩基中のビス−(サリチルアルデヒド)−エチレンジアミンの残基である)とを含むことを特徴とする、エネルギー貯蔵装置用電極を製造する方法。 - 前記伝導性基板が、−3.0Vから+1.5Vの電位範囲内で電気化学的に不活性な電子伝導性材料から作製されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記伝導性基板が炭素材料から作製されることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記伝導性基板が、金属コーティングを有する炭素材料から作製されることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記伝導性基板が、フィルム、多孔質構造、または固体の発泡体の形状の導電性ポリマーから作製されることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記有機溶媒が、アセトニトリル、ジメチルケトン、または炭酸プロピレンであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記化合物が、テトラプロピルアンモニウムおよびテトラブチルアンモニウムのテトラフルオロホウ酸塩、過塩素酸塩、ヘキサフルオロリン酸塩、トリフルオロ酢酸塩であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記遷移金属MeがNi、Pd、Co、Cu、Fe、およびその組み合わせからなる群から選択されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記電子授与置換基Rが、CH3O−、C2H5O−、HO−、−CH3およびそれらの組み合わせからなる群から選択されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記基板上の酸化還元ポリマーの堆積が、酸化還元ポリマーの非可逆的酸化電位よりも高くない基板電位で起きることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記酸化還元ポリマーを堆積させる間、電解液を循環させることをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
