Abstract
Description
本発明は、血管壁内への流体、例えば治療液(therapeutic fluid)の腔内デリバリーのためのカテーテルに関し、上記カテーテルは、上記流体の損失を最小限にする。1の態様において、血管壁内に流体又は治療剤をデリバリーするためのカテーテルが提供され、上記カテーテルは、流体をデリバリーするための少なくとも1つのインジェクターと、接していないインジェクターを通る流体の通過を防ぐか又は最小限にするためのシーリング・ユニットを有する。
先に議論されているとおり、図1は、治療薬供給源(60)から血管壁内に治療液をデリバリーするためのインジェクター(20a〜20d)を有する従前の治療剤デリバリー・カテーテル(10)を説明する。治療薬は、管腔内壁又は血管壁自体の治療、再生、又はそれ以外の作用を与えるために使用される。治療される血管は、患者の体内又は体外にある血管である。それは、静脈、動脈、及び心臓小室のような血を運ぶ血管を含み、それは、食道、尿管、腸、脊柱の個々の脊椎内に位置する流体のポケット、及び当業者に明白なあらゆる他の好適な血管をも含む。本発明の方法によって治療される臓器及び組織は、インビボ又はエクズビボに位置するかにかかわらず、全ての哺乳動物の組織又は臓器を含んでいる。制限されることのない例は、心臓、肺、脳、肝臓、腎臓、膀胱、腸、胃、膵臓、卵巣、前立腺、眼、並びに腫瘍、軟骨及び骨を含んでいる。
Claims (28)
- 血管壁内への流体デリバリー・デバイスであって、以下の:
第1内部管腔及び第2内部管腔を有するカテーテル;
上記カテーテルの第1内部管腔に、流体を介して連絡し、かつ、外面を有する膨張性バルーン;
上記カテーテルの第2内部管腔に、流体を介して連絡し、外面を有し、かつ、上記膨張性バルーンの外面に取り付けられた少なくとも1つの流体流路;
上記流体流路の外面に取り付けられ、かつ、当該流体流路及び上記カテーテルの第2内部管腔に、流体を介して連絡している少なくとも1つのインジェクター;並びに
上記インジェクターを通る流体の通過を防ぐためのシーリング・ユニット、
を含む前記デバイス。 - 前記カテーテルの第2内部管腔、前記流体流路、及びインジェクターに、流体を介して連絡している、治療液の供給源をさらに含む、請求項1に記載のデバイス。
- 前記インジェクターが、第1末端及び第2末端を有する中空の突起を含む、請求項1に記載のデバイス。
- 前記インジェクターが、血管壁に入り込むように、前記の中空の突起の第2末端に隣接する先端をさらに含む、請求項3に記載のデバイス。
- 前記シーリング・ユニットがシールを含む、請求項3に記載のデバイス。
- 前記シールが、前記の中空の突起の第1末端をシールする、請求項5に記載のデバイス。
- 前記シールが、前記の中空の突起の第2末端をシールする、請求項5に記載のデバイス。
- 前記シーリング・ユニットが、当該シーリング・ユニットの近くを流れる流体を食い止めるように形作られ、それにより当該シーリング・ユニットを変形させるように働くシーリング・ユニット上にかかる力を誘発し、そして前記インジェクターを通る流体の通過を防ぐ、請求項1に記載のデバイス。
- 前記シーリング・ユニットの表面が、シーリング・ユニットの近くを流れる流体を食い止めるようにパターン形成され、それにより当該シーリング・ユニットを変形させるように働くシーリング・ユニット上にかかる力を誘発し、そして前記インジェクターを通る流体の通過を防ぐ、請求項1に記載のデバイス。
- 前記シーリング・ユニットが、シーリング・ユニットの近くを流れる流体を食い止めるためにコートされ、それにより当該シーリング・ユニットを変形させるように働くシーリング・ユニット上にかかる力を誘発し、そして前記インジェクターを通る流体の通過を防ぐ、請求項1に記載のデバイス。

- 前記弁棒が第1末端と第2末端を有する請求項12に記載のデバイスであって、
上記弁棒が、前記シールから外側に突出し、かつ、前記の中空の突起と実質的にアラインされ、
上記弁棒の第1末端が、上記シールに隣接して配置されるか、又は上記シールに結合され、そして
上記弁棒の第2末端が、上記の中空の突起の第2末端を越えて半径方向に突出する、
前記デバイス。 - 前記シーリング・ユニットが、血管壁に入り込むように、前記弁棒の第2末端に隣接する先端をさらに含む、請求項13に記載のデバイス。
- 前記インジェクターをふさぎ、そして当該インジェクターを通る流体の通過を防ぐようにシールに働く力を用いるための機械的システムをさらに含む、請求項5に記載のデバイス。
- 前記機械的システムがバネである、請求項15に記載のデバイス。
- 前記機械的システムがゴムバンドである、請求項15に記載のデバイス。
- 前記インジェクターを通る流体の通過を防ぐために、当該インジェクターに押しつけて密封される位置に前記シールを保持するための接着をさらに含む、請求項5に記載のデバイス。
- 前記接着が粘着性の接着である、請求項18に記載のデバイス。
- 前記接着が静電結合である、請求項18に記載のデバイス。
- 前記接着が化学結合である、請求項18に記載のデバイス。
- 血管壁内への流体デリバリー・デバイスであって、以下の:
1つの内部管腔を有するカテーテル;
上記カテーテルの内部管腔に、流体を介して連絡し、かつ、外面を有する膨張性バルーン;
上記膨張性バルーンの外面に取り付けられ、かつ、上記カテーテル及び上記膨張性バルーンの内部管腔に、流体を介して連絡している、少なくとも1つのインジェクター;並びに
インジェクターを通る流体の通過を防ぐためのシーリング・ユニット、
を含む前記デバイス。 - 前記カテーテル及び膨張性バルーンの内部管腔に、流体を介して連絡している、流体の供給源をさらに含む、請求項22に記載のデバイス。
- 前記の流体の供給源が、治療液の供給源を含む、請求項23に記載のデバイス。
- 以下の:
前記カテーテルの内部管腔に、流体を介して連絡している、膨張用流体の供給源;
上記カテーテルの内部管腔に、流体を介して連絡している、治療液の供給源;及び
上記の治療液の供給源から及び上記の膨張用流体の供給源から、上記のカテーテルの内部管腔への流体の流れを制御する弁、
を含む、請求項22に記載のデバイス。 - 以下のステップ:
第1内部管腔をもつ膨張性バルーン、第2内部管腔をもつ流体流路、及び上記第2内部管腔に、流体を介して連絡している、インジェクターを有するカテーテルを患者の血管内に挿入し;
上記カテーテルを上記患者体内の血管の疾患部分に配置し;
上記カテーテルの第1内部管腔内に流体を流し込むことによって上記膨張性バルーンを膨らませて、血管壁内に上記インジェクターをはまり込ませ;
治療液を上記カテーテルの第2内部管腔及び上記の流体流路に流し込むことによって上記インジェクターを通して血管壁内に治療剤を注入し;そして
血管壁内にはまり込んでいないインジェクターを選択的にふさぐ、
を含む血管壁内への治療剤デリバリー方法。 - 以下のステップ:
内部管腔をもつ膨張性バルーン、及び上記膨張性バルーンに、流体を介して連絡している、インジェクターを有するカテーテルを患者の血管内に挿入し;
上記カテーテルを上記患者体内の血管の疾患部分に配置し;
上記カテーテルの内部管腔に流体を流し込むことによって上記膨張性バルーンを膨らませて、血管壁内に上記インジェクターをはまり込ませ;
流体を上記インジェクターを通して血管壁内に注入し;そして
血管壁内にはまり込んでいないインジェクターを選択的にふさぐ、
を含む血管壁内への流体デリバリー方法。 - 以下のステップ:
前記カテーテルの内部管腔に治療液を流し込むことによって前記インジェクターを通して血管壁内に治療剤を注入する、
をさらに含む、請求項27に記載の方法。
