Claims (16)
- 血管の管腔内に位置する場合、(プラーク層を含む)前記血管の1つ以上の層を穿孔するための複数の突起を担持する外面を有する外側の変形可能な部材と、内部空洞を画定する内面とを含み、各突起が、前記内部空洞と流体連通するボアを有し、液体媒体中に懸濁された細胞が前記内部空洞から前記ボアを通って前記プラーク層、前記血管の1つ以上の層、または血管周囲組織に入るのを可能にするのに十分な直径を有する、細胞懸濁液送達装置。
- 前記装置に接続されたカテーテルをさらに含み、前記カテーテルは前記内部空洞と流体連通している内腔を有する、請求項1に記載の細胞懸濁液送達装置。
- トロイダル空洞を有するトーラスを画定する前記外側の変形可能な部材に接合された内側部材と、内面および外面とをさらに備え、前記突起は、前記トロイダル空洞の外側の前記外面にのみ位置する、請求項1に記載の細胞懸濁液送達装置。
- 前記装置に接続されたカテーテルをさらに含み、前記カテーテルは前記内部空洞と流体連通する内腔を有する、請求項3に記載の細胞懸濁液送達装置。
- 前記内側部材は、非変形可能なトロイダル空洞を画定する、請求項3に記載の細胞懸濁液送達装置。
- 前記突起は、プラーク、内膜、内膜下空間、中膜、外膜、外膜周囲空間、および血管周囲組織を含む層の群から選択される、1つ以上の血管の層、およびその周囲組織を貫通する、請求項1に記載の細胞懸濁液送達装置。
- 前記突起は2つ以上の長さのものである、請求項1に記載の細胞懸濁液送達装置。
- 前記突起は、拡張可能かつ格納可能である、請求項1に記載の細胞懸濁液送達装置。
- 長手方向軸および半径方向軸と、内腔および外側表面とを有する管状部材を含み、前記管状部材は、液体溶媒中に混濁した細胞が前記内腔から開口を通過するのを可能にする十分な直径の1つ以上の前記開口を有し、前記管状部材は、前記装置が導入される血管内の前記プラーク層の破砕を生じさせるのに十分な距離だけ半径方向寸法を増大させるように柔軟に変形可能である、細胞懸濁液送達装置。
- 前記管状部材は、前記血管の中心に位置するバルーンの膨張によって変形され、膨張すると、前記装置に力を加えて、それを前記プラーク層と密接に接触させる、請求項9に記載の細胞懸濁液送達装置。
- 前記管状部材は、前記装置と摺動可能な関係で円錐部材から機械的な力を適用することによって変形される、請求項9に記載の細胞懸濁液送達装置。
- 前記管状部材は、前記長手方向軸の両端部で接合された三次元構造に形成され、スライドワイヤによってもたらされる長手方向軸の力を加えることによって、前記端部が一緒に引き出されるか、または引き離され、力が前記ワイヤに第1の方向に加えられると前記装置を前記軸方向に拡張させ、力が前記ワイヤに第2の方向に加えられると前記装置を軸方向に減少させる、請求項9に記載の細胞懸濁液送達装置。
- 前記装置に接続されたカテーテルをさらに含み、前記カテーテルは前記装置の内腔と流体連通している内腔を有する、請求項9に記載の細胞懸濁液送達装置。
- a.血管への経皮アクセスを介して送達装置を導入し、前記送達装置を前記治療される組織に近接して配置するステップと、
b.前記治療される組織に近接して前記血管壁を機械的に貫通するステップと、
c.圧力下で、前記送達装置を介して懸濁液中のある量の細胞を前記治療される組織に送達するステップと、
d.前記送達装置を引き出すステップと、を含む、組織を治療するための方法。 - 前記治療される組織は血管であり、
a.前記送達装置を配置した後、プラーク層を機械的に破砕または貫通するさらなるステップと、ステップbの後、
b.圧力下で、前記送達装置を介して懸濁液中のある量の細胞を、1つ以上の前記プラーク、内膜、内膜下空間、中膜、外膜、または外膜周囲空間に送達するさらなるステップと、を含む、請求項14に記載の治療方法。 - 前記治療される組織が動脈瘤であり、
a.対になった静脈への経皮アクセスを介して前記送達装置を導入し、対になった動脈の前記動脈瘤に近接して前記送達装置を配置するさらなるステップと、
b.前記動脈瘤に近接して前記対になった静脈の静脈壁を機械的に穿通するさらなるステップと、
c.前記動脈瘤に近接した状態で、前記送達装置を介して懸濁液中のある量の細胞を動脈周囲組織に送達するさらなるステップと、を含む、請求項14に記載の治療方法。
