Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a game program, a game apparatus, and a recording medium, and in particular, determines an action order of a plurality of characters, selects an action mode of the character, and performs character action control based on the action mode. The present invention relates to a game program, a game device, and a recording medium.
Conventionally, in a virtual world on a screen of a computer or a display device, command input or the like is performed in accordance with a player's operation, and a character action mode in a game is selected according to a predetermined action order. Various game programs are provided that allow a player to play the role of a character or the like by progressing through a preset story. Such a game is generally referred to as “RPG” (Role Playing Game).
Such a game program includes a battle scene in which a character operated in response to an operation of a player (hereinafter referred to as “player character”) and an enemy character controlled by a computer are included. It is generally known that an experience value or virtual money is obtained by defeating, and the story progresses while raising the character level.
In such a game program, for example, as shown in
However, in the above-described game program, specific image control is simply performed in the battle scene, so that the control load increases, the displayed image deteriorates such as frame delay and frame skipping, and the interest in the game is reduced. There was a risk of inviting. On the other hand, in order to prevent such deterioration of the image, if the number of display objects to be displayed is limited, the character that should be displayed depending on the position of the character may be omitted and not displayed. There is a possibility that the player may feel uncomfortable, and it is difficult to say that a game with a high presence is provided.
The present invention has been made in view of the above-described problems, and provides a game program, a game device, and a recording medium that can suppress a decrease in interest in a game and can enhance a sense of reality for the game. (4) A recording medium on which the game program according to (1) or (2) is recorded so as to be readable by a computer.
According to the invention described in (1), (3), or (4), the character action mode based on the operation signal from the operation means operable by the player and the plurality of character data in accordance with the action order of the plurality of characters. Selection of the character and behavior control of the character based on the behavior mode of the selected character are executed, and display control of selection of the behavior mode of the character to be executed and character behavior control is performed. Then, the execution of specific image control is restricted while the character behavior control is being performed among the selection of the character behavior mode and the character behavior control. Therefore, even if the control load of image control other than execution of specific image control with a high control load is increased while behavior control of a character with a relatively large control load is being performed, Since the image control is limited, it is possible to prevent the deterioration of the image and to suppress the decrease in the interest in the game. In addition, while the action mode of a character with a relatively small control load is being selected, specific image control is executed, and there is no limit on the number of characters to be displayed. Characters are displayed without being omitted, and further, specific image processing is performed, so that it is possible to enhance a sense of reality for the game.
According to the invention described in (2), while the action control of the character is being performed, the specific image control is invalidated as a restriction on the specific image control. Therefore, specific image control with a high control load is not executed at all, and only the other image control can be executed, and further deterioration of the image can be prevented and a decrease in interest in the game can be suppressed. .
According to the present invention, it is possible to suppress a decrease in the interest of the game and to enhance the sense of reality for the game.

The types of character individual abilities include hit points (hereinafter referred to as “HP”), magic points (hereinafter referred to as “MP”), sanity points (hereinafter referred to as “SP”), physical attack power (hereinafter referred to as “STR”), Physical defense power (hereinafter referred to as “VIT”), quickness (hereinafter referred to as “AGL”), magic attack power (hereinafter referred to as “INT”), magic defense power (hereinafter referred to as “POW”) and luck (hereinafter referred to as “LUC”) ) These are represented by numerical values, and different values are set depending on the character type even if the character level is the same.
The character individual ability is set according to the character level (hereinafter referred to as “LV”). This LV changes according to experience values stored cumulatively according to experiences such as battles during the game. In particular, for HP, MP, and SP, the maximum HP, maximum MP, and maximum SP corresponding to the character individual ability and the actual HP, MP, and SP that change during the game are stored. Of course, AGL and LUC also change depending on the special item or special technique as described later.

Specifically, the characters of the game title “SHADOW HEARTS” are displayed, and two selection items (“NEW GAME” and “CONTINUE”) are displayed below. Further, the
When “NEW GAME” is selected on the “title screen”, the prologue and game contents are displayed, and thereafter, as shown in FIG. 4 (2), “world map” is displayed. On the other hand, when “CONTINUE” is selected on the “title screen”, the “world map” is displayed based on the save data at the end of the previous game without displaying the prologue and game contents. .
Specifically, on this “world map”, major cities of “Country A” that is the stage of the game story are displayed, and selection items (“city A” 42a, “city B”) indicated by five city names are displayed. 42b, "City C" 42c, "City D" 42d, "City E" 42e) are displayed. These are selection items for shifting to a “submap” prepared in advance. The

In the game according to the present embodiment, a player character that acts based on the player's operation and an enemy character that acts based only on the game program appear, and a game that develops centering on the battle between the two characters. This is realized on the
Thereafter, when the party of the player character that has started the action on the “submap” encounters an enemy character, the battle with the enemy character is started as shown in FIG. In this case, for example, a battle with three enemy characters, the enemy character a115, the enemy character b116, and the enemy character c117, is started.
In such a battle screen, the action order of all the characters (including the player character and the enemy character) is determined, and the action is selected and controlled according to the action order.
Specifically, as shown in FIG. 5A, the battle between the player character A111, the player character B112, the player character C113, and the player character D114, and the enemy character a115, enemy character b116, and enemy character c117 is started. . In addition, an

7 (1) and 7 (2) based on the action type, action target, action success / failure, action effect, and the like of the player character A111 selected and determined based on the operation of the
Although details will be described later, in the action selection screen, the action target selection screen, and the judgment ring screen as shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, blurring processing for realistically expressing the depth in the virtual three-dimensional space is performed. Although being executed, the blurring process is invalidated (restricted) on the action effect screen as shown in FIG.
[Blur processing]
The blurring process is a process for producing a virtual three-dimensional space, and its effect brings a sense of perspective and an infinite feeling to the game screen. Such blurring processing will be described with reference to FIGS.
The blurring process is executed based on the distance in the depth direction between the
The texture transparency at the
Then, the distance from the two
In addition to the blurring process, bi-linear interpolation, tri-linear interpolation, and the like are executed on the texture color itself that is actually pasted on the polygon of the
As a specific example, when the distance from the viewpoint position increases in the order of the player character A111, the player character B112, the player character C113, and the player character D114, as shown in FIG. The images are displayed as clear images, and are displayed as clear images in the order of the player character B112, the player character C113, and the player character D114. In FIG. 18, in order to express the blurring degree of the display target, the line type of the line indicating the player character is changed for each player character. Specifically, the player character C, the player character D, and the like are shown using broken lines, but are not actually displayed as broken lines.
In this way, blur control is performed based on the transparency set according to the distance from the viewpoint position in the depth direction, for example, the focal point from the viewpoint position (set as the point in focus). It becomes possible to generate an image that appears blurred as it becomes farther from the point, and so-called depth of field (depth of focus) can be expressed. Thus, unlike a conventional image in which all subjects in the screen are in focus, a real and natural game image focused according to the distance from the viewpoint like a real-world view image can be generated. As a result, the virtual reality of the player can be significantly improved.
[Description of judgment ring]
Here, the above-described judgment ring will be described with reference to FIGS.
The
The
On the
That is, the reference area is formed including an effective area that is relatively advantageous to the player and an ineffective area that is relatively disadvantageous to the player, and the effective area includes a special effective area that is further advantageous to the player. The area is included. Accordingly, the first effect that is relatively advantageous to the player, the second effect that is relatively disadvantageous to the player, and the third effect that is relatively more advantageous to the player than the first effect are provided. As a result, the effect of the action form is determined.
Thereafter, the rotation of the
For example, when the operation of the ○
On the other hand, when the operation timing of the ○
Such a
FIG. 9 shows a display mode of the
The “120% region” is not limited to the above case. For example, as shown in FIG. 10 (1), “120% region” is provided in the range from the tip angle to a predetermined angle, or as shown in FIG. 10 (2), two “120% regions” are provided. It may be. FIG. 10A shows a case where the
[Operation of game device]
Various processes executed in the above-described configuration will be described below with reference to FIGS.
[Main game processing]
As described above, when the DVD-
(ST3)。 First, as shown in FIG. 11, it is determined whether “NEW GAME” is selected from two selection items on the “title screen” as shown in FIG. 4A (ST1). When this determination is “YES”, the prologue and game contents are displayed (ST2). When “NO”, that is, when it is determined that “CONTINUE” is selected on the “title screen”, the prologue and the game content are displayed. The save data at the end of the previous game is set without displaying the game content (ST3).
Next, the “world map” shown in FIG. 4B is displayed (ST4). Then, it is determined whether any of the selection items displayed on the “world map” is selected (ST5). When this determination is “YES”, a start screen of the “submap” corresponding to the selection is displayed. The party of the player character starts an action on the “submap” (ST6). On the other hand, when the determination in ST5 is “NO”, it is determined whether or not there is a display request for “menu screen” by operating the □
Next, it is determined whether the party of the player character that started the action on the “submap” has encountered an enemy character (ST7), and when this determination is “YES”, “battle processing” is started (ST8). . When the “battle process” is started, the process proceeds to a “battle scene” where a battle between the party of the player character and the enemy character is performed. This “battle processing” will be described later with reference to FIG. On the other hand, if the determination in ST7 is “NO”, it is determined whether any event has occurred (ST9). If this determination is “YES”, the process moves to ST16, and if “NO”, the process moves to ST6 again.
Next, in the “battle scene” executed by the “battle process”, it is determined whether the party of the player character has successfully escaped from the enemy character (ST10). When this determination is “YES”, the process moves to ST16, and on the other hand, when the escape from the enemy character fails or when the battle with the enemy character is performed, the party of the player character becomes the enemy in the “battle scene”. It is determined whether or not the character is won (ST11). When this determination is “YES”, that is, when the party of the player character wins the enemy character, points such as experience points are given to each character of the party according to the type of the enemy character fought and the content of the battle. Add or give an item or money (ST12). And the level of the said character is raised according to the experience value of each character (ST13). On the other hand, when the determination in ST11 is “NO”, that is, when the party of the player character cannot win the enemy character, it is determined whether or not all the party of the player character has died (ST14). When this determination is “YES”, the game is over (ST15), the main game process is terminated, and when it is “NO”, the process proceeds to ST16.
In ST16, a movie corresponding to the situation is displayed, and then it is determined whether the request condition of the selected submap has been cleared (ST17). When this determination is “NO”, the process proceeds to ST6 again, and when “YES”, it is determined whether or not to move to the ending (ST18). When this determination is “YES”, a predetermined ending display is performed (ST19), and this main game process is ended. On the other hand, when the determination in ST18 is “NO”, the process is moved again to ST4.

The “battle process” described above will be described with reference to FIG.
First, as shown in FIG. 12, a parameter relating to a character is set, a turn interval value is calculated, and a setting process is executed (ST30). In this process, the
In ST31, a battle scene start screen of “battle scene” as shown in FIG. 5 (1) is displayed. On this start screen, a party of player characters (player character A111, player character B112, player character C113, and player character D114) is displayed in front. In addition, enemy characters (for example, enemy character a115, enemy character b116, and enemy character c117) are displayed at positions corresponding to the player characters on the opposite side of the player characters. Further, although display is omitted in FIG. 5A, information regarding the status of the player character is displayed at the lower right position of the start screen. Furthermore, an
In ST32, “turn order processing” is performed in order to manage the order in which actions such as attacks including the player character and the enemy character can be performed. In this process, the
Further, the
In ST33, it is determined whether or not the character for which command selection is enabled in “turn order processing” is an enemy character. If “YES”, the enemy character performs an attack on the player character according to the game program. Automatic processing is performed (ST34). In this automatic battle process, the
On the other hand, when it is determined in ST33 that the character for which command selection is valid is a player character, “command processing” for receiving command selection by the player's operation is performed (ST35). In this process, a command is selected according to an operation input from the
On the
And the effect display according to the determined action form is performed. For example, when an attack, magic, specific technique, or item use command (“action” command described later) is selected, an action is performed on a target character such as a player character or enemy character. Display processing is executed. In the “command processing”, “judgment processing” that enables technical intervention based on the operation timing of the player is also performed. Details of this “command processing” will be described later with reference to FIG. If this process ends, the process moves to ST36.
In ST36, the turn order is updated every time the character performs an action. In this process, the
In ST37, turn order update display processing is executed. In this process, the
In ST38, it is determined whether or not the “battle process” end condition is satisfied. If “NO”, the process returns to ST32, and if “YES”, the “soul point addition process” is executed (ST39). The “battle process” is terminated. Here, the “battle processing” end condition is that the enemy character appearing on the battle screen has been annihilated, the player has selected the “escape” command and succeeded in escaping from the enemy character, and the player character party has been annihilated. Or an event that ended the battle occurred.
[Command processing]
The above-mentioned “command processing” will be described with reference to FIG.
First, as shown in FIG. 13, a command screen display control process is executed (ST200). In this process, the
In ST201, it is determined whether or not it is an “action selection” command. In this process, the
Subsequently, in ST203, the
[Judgment processing]
The above-described “judgment process” will be described with reference to FIG.
First, as shown in FIG. 14, the
In ST223, the
In ST225, “judgment ring determination process” is executed. In this process, the
In ST226, the
In ST227, a “judgment ring determination process” is executed. In this process, the
As described above, the
In ST228, individual capability parameters such as HP, MP, SP, AGL, and LUC and status update processing are executed. In this process, the
In ST229, an action effect screen display control process is executed. In this process, the
Thus, CPU21 will perform action control of a character based on the action mode of the character selected by ST221 to ST227. In addition, CPU21 which performs such a process is equivalent to an example of a character action control means. Moreover, CPU21 which performs such a process will perform display control of the action control of the character in a battle scene. In addition, CPU21 which performs such a process is equivalent to an example of a character action display control means.
[Display control processing]
Unlike the process described above, the “display control process” called at a predetermined timing in the
First, the
In ST232, a display target three-dimensional conversion process is executed. In this process, the
In ST233, it is determined whether or not action control is being performed. In this process, the
In ST234, a specific image control process is executed. In this process, the
In ST235, a rendering process is executed. In this process, the
That is, the
In ST236, it is determined whether or not the processing has been completed for all display targets. In this processing, whether or not the
In ST237, image display processing is executed. In this processing, the
As described above, according to the action order of the plurality of characters, the selection of the character action mode based on the operation signal from the operation means that can be operated by the player and the plurality of character data, and the character action mode based on the selected character action mode. The behavior control is executed, and the character behavior mode to be executed and display control of the character behavior control are performed. Characters are displayed without being omitted, and further, specific image processing is performed, so that a sense of reality for the game can be enhanced. Further, while the character's action control is being performed, the specific image control is invalidated as a restriction on the specific image control. Therefore, specific image control with a high control load is not executed at all, and only the other image control can be executed, and further deterioration of the image can be prevented and a decrease in interest in the game can be suppressed. .

In the present embodiment, after all the characters appearing in the “battle scene” perform the action, the turn order in which the actions of all the characters are executed again is determined. Another form may be sufficient, for example, before all the characters perform action, you may comprise so that the character which complete | finished action execution may perform the next action.
In the present embodiment, image control for executing blurring processing is employed as specific image control. However, the present invention is not limited to this. For example, the color of the display screen is masked with separately set color data called fog data. The fog processing performed by adjustment may be performed as specific image control. If this fog processing is used, it is possible to show distant objects depending on the color of the fog. For example, if the fog color is white, a fog effect can be obtained. If the fog color is blue, a distant effect can be obtained. In the present embodiment, while the action control of the character is being performed, the specific image control is invalidated as a restriction on the specific image control. Specific actions, such as by switching execution of blur processing for each frame so as to reduce the addition of image control without completely disabling specific image control Image control may be limited. Further, the specific image control may be limited while the character behavior control is performed. For example, the specific image control is not limited at all times during the time when the character behavior control is performed. The specific image control may be limited at least in part of the time.
