Abstract
【解決手段】 複数のアクセスカテゴリ(AC)がフレームの送信に対してそれらの優先度に応じて規定され、省電力モード(PSM)、特にIEEE標準802.11に準拠した省電力モード(PSM)が上記ネットワークにおいて用いられる。本方法は、PSMキューが基地局において複数のサブキューに分割されることを特徴とする。

Claims (7)
- アクセスポイントおよび少なくとも1つの移動局を備え、省電力モード(PSM)で動作可能であり、かつ、サービス品質をサポートする無線ネットワークにおけるサービス品質を改善する方法において、
複数のアクセスカテゴリをフレームの送信に関するそれらの優先度に応じて規定し、前記アクセスポイントにおいてPSMキューが複数のサブキューに分割されることを特徴とするサービス品質を改善する方法。 - 前記PSMキューが論理的に分割されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記PSMキューが物理的に分割されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記PSMキューが、前記複数のアクセスカテゴリの数に対応する個数のサブキューに分割されることを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記省電力モード(PSM)はIEEE標準802.11に準拠することを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 省電力モード(PSM)で動作可能であり、かつ、サービス品質をサポートする無線ネットワークのアクセスポイントにおいて、
フレームの送信に関する優先度に基づいて予め規定された複数のPSMサブキューと、
前記複数のPSMサブキューの各々から読み出されたフレームを当該フレームの優先度に応じてそれぞれ格納するための複数のキューと、
前記複数のキューの優先度に応じて送信すべきフレームを格納する送信バッファと、
を有することを特徴とするアクセスポイント。 - 省電力モード(PSM)で動作可能であり、かつ、サービス品質をサポートする無線ネットワークのアクセスポイントの制御方法において、
到来したフレームの優先度に従って、この到来フレームを、フレームの送信に関する優先度に基づいて予め規定された複数のPSMサブキューのいずれかに格納し、
前記アクセスポイントに収容された移動端末からの要求に応じて、当該要求の優先度に対応したPSMサブキューから当該要求に対応したフレームを選択し、
前記複数のPSMサブキューから選択されたフレームを当該フレームの優先度に応じて複数のキューのいずれかに格納し、
前記複数のキューの優先度に応じてフレームを宛先の移動局へ送信する、
ことを特徴とするアクセスポイントの制御方法。
