Claims (7)
- アクセスポイントおよび少なくとも1つの移動局を備え、省電力モード(PSM)で動作可能であり、かつ、サービス品質をサポートする無線ネットワークにおけるサービス品質を改善する方法において、
複数のアクセスカテゴリがフレームの送信に関するそれらの優先度に応じて規定されており、
前記アクセスポイントにおいてPSMバッファが前記複数のアクセスカテゴリに従って複数のサブキューに分割され、
移動局からの省電力ポーリング要求の優先度に対応した前記複数のPSMサブキューの1つから読み出されたフレームを当該フレームの優先度に応じて、前記複数のアクセスカテゴリに従って設けられた複数のキューのいずれかに格納し、
前記複数のキューの優先度に応じてフレームを前記省電力ポーリング要求の送信元である移動局へ送信する、
ことを特徴とするサービス品質を改善する方法。 - 前記PSMバッファが論理的に分割されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記PSMバッファが物理的に分割されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記PSMバッファが、前記複数のアクセスカテゴリの数に対応する個数のサブキューに分割されることを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記省電力モード(PSM)はIEEE標準802.11に準拠することを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 省電力モード(PSM)で動作可能であり、かつ、サービス品質をサポートする無線ネットワークのアクセスポイントにおいて、
複数のアクセスカテゴリがフレームの送信に関するそれらの優先度に応じて規定されており、
前記複数のアクセスカテゴリに従ったフレームの送信に関する優先度に基づいて予め規定された複数のPSMサブキューと、
移動局からの省電力ポーリング要求の優先度に従って前記複数のPSMサブキューの対応するサブキューから読み出されたフレームを当該フレームの優先度に応じてそれぞれ格納するための、前記複数のアクセスカテゴリに従って設けられた複数のキューと、
前記複数のキューの優先度に応じて前記省電力ポーリング要求の送信元である移動局へ送信すべきフレームを格納する送信バッファと、
を有することを特徴とするアクセスポイント。 - 省電力モード(PSM)で動作可能であり、かつ、サービス品質をサポートする無線ネットワークのアクセスポイントの制御方法において、
複数のアクセスカテゴリがフレームの送信に関するそれらの優先度に応じて規定されており、
到来したフレームの優先度に従って、この到来フレームを、前記複数のアクセスカテゴリに従ったフレームの送信に関する優先度に基づいて予め規定された複数のPSMサブキューのいずれかに格納し、
前記アクセスポイントに収容された移動端末からの省電力ポーリング要求に応じて、当該要求の優先度に対応したPSMサブキューから当該要求に対応したフレームを選択し、
前記複数のPSMサブキューから選択されたフレームを当該フレームの優先度に応じて、前記複数のアクセスカテゴリに従って設けられた複数のキューのいずれかに格納し、
前記複数のキューの優先度に応じてフレームを前記省電力ポーリング要求の送信元である移動局へ送信する、
ことを特徴とするアクセスポイントの制御方法。
