Abstract
Description
前処理は、本発明による必須工程として、250〜1200℃における少なくとも1回の熱処理を含むが、重合触媒がこの熱処理の直接の生成物であることは必ずしも必要ではない。むしろ、この熱処理に続けて、最終的に活性触媒の形成をもたらす、さらなる処理又は反応を行なうことができる。また、該熱処理に先行して、物理的又は化学的プロセスを行なうこともできる。さらに、直接連続した又は中間にさらなる処理を含むのいずれであっても、複数回の熱処理が明白的に(expressly)本発明の範囲によって包含される。重要なことは、前処理全体を、最も簡単な場合には熱活性化のみを、反応器列において一定の条件下で行なうことである。
本発明の方法の第2工程では、モノマーを重合条件下で所望のポリマー生成物に転化させる。この場合に用いる触媒は、先の工程で得られた重合触媒である。
本発明の反応器列の他の有利な実施態様では、各反応器は、下部の外表面に位置する加熱及び/又は冷却要素を有する第1温度制御ユニットを有する。さらに、各反応器は、流動床内の温度を測定するための温度センサーを有する。第1温度制御ユニットは、反応器の温度を外部から直接制御するために役立つ。加熱又は冷却要素は、好ましくは、電気的に操作される。他方では、温度制御のための熱伝導流体の使用は、特に均一な温度分布が可能であるという利点を有する。本発明はさらに、例えば、複数個の反応器を同じ温度で操作することができるように、共通の温度制御ユニットを備えた、該反応器列中の反応器グループを提供する。2〜8個、特に4個の反応器を一緒にグループ化することが特に好ましい。
図面は、フィリップス法によるポリエチレン合成用の触媒を試験するための反応器を示す。フィリップス法では、実際の反応に先立って、触媒を活性化させるためにクロム負荷シリケート担体のか焼が行なわれ、通常は3価状態で担持されているクロムが6価状態に転化される。酸化的か焼は400〜925℃で行なわれ、製造されるポリエチレンの性質にかなりの影響を及ぼす。当業者に一般に知られているように、特に、モル質量分布及び溶融流量(MFR)に目標に適ったように(in a targeted manner)影響を及ぼすように、か焼条件を変更することができる。しかし、該反応器はフィリップス触媒にのみ適しているのではなく、特に、高温及び恐らくは高圧において用いられる触媒系の試験に一般的に用いることができる。
最初に、反応器の各下部(3)に試験すべきクロム触媒前駆体 数mg〜1gの量を装入する、適切な場合には、これにさらに助触媒を加えることができる。
Claims (18)
- 多くの重合触媒から、それらの触媒的性質に基づいて重合触媒を選択する方法であって、
多くの触媒前駆体又は触媒担体を反応器列において並行して重合触媒に転化させる、250〜1200℃における熱処理工程を少なくとも1回含む前処理工程;
それぞれの重合触媒を用いて、少なくとも1種類の出発物質を、所定の重合条件下で少なくとも1種類のポリマー生成物に転化させる重合工程;及び
ポリマー生成物の組成及び/又は選択した性質に関する、ポリマー生成物(単数又は複数種類)の分析
を含む方法。 - 重合工程を、反応器列において、多くの触媒前駆体又は触媒担体に関して並行して行なう、請求項1記載の方法。
- 前処理工程と重合工程とを同じ反応器列において行なう、請求項2記載の方法。
- それぞれの反応器における前処理工程及び/又は重合工程の条件が、少なくとも1つの物理的パラメーターにおいて異なる、請求項2記載の方法。
- それぞれの反応器における触媒が、少なくとも1つの化学的性質において異なる、請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の方法。

- 各反応器がそれぞれの反応器の温度を制御するのに役立つ第1温度制御ユニットを有し、下部(5)の外表面に位置する加熱及び/又は冷却要素と、流動床(9)中の温度を測定するために及び温度センサー(7)を含む、請求項13〜15のいずれかに記載の反応器列。
- フィード流の温度を制御するのに役立ち、反応器の外側で入口(4)に熱的に接続する第2温度制御ユニットを有する、請求項13〜16のいずれかに記載の反応器列。
- 反応器が溶融シリカ製又はステンレス鋼製である、請求項13〜17のいずれかに記載の反応器列。
