Abstract
低伸び布層及びその上に形成した微多孔質コーティング層からなる通気性材料であり、微多孔質コーティング層は、結晶性ポリマー組成物とフィラーとを含有する。本発明の通気性材料は、ハウスラップ及び他の建設材料を始めとする各種用途に好適である。さらに、本発明は、低伸び布層に、結晶性ポリマー組成物とフィラーとを含有する組成物を押出コーティングして、低伸び布層上にコーティング層を形成し、そして、コーティング処理した低伸び布層を増分延伸して、コーティング層を微多孔質化する通気性材料の製造方法を提供する。
Description
この実施例では、本発明の通気性材料が製造される。具体的には、密度が約0.945g/ccより大きい高密度ポリエチレンからなるコーティング層の一面を、ポリエチレン直交積層オープンメッシュからなる不織布層に押出積層する。使用する不織布層は、前記CLAF(登録商標)からなる不織布層で、その坪量は約0.91oz/yd2である。このCLAF(登録商標)不織布層の伸びは、機械方向及び横方向の両方向において約20%である。コーティング層の他面を、坪量が約1oz/yd2で約2デニールのスパンボンド法ポリエチレン不織布層に押出積層する。コーティング層の坪量は30g/m2である。係合深さが約15ミルのCD噛み合い延伸及び係合深さが約30ミルのMD噛み合い延伸を利用して、得られた材料を延伸し、高密度ポリエチレン押出コーティング層を微多孔質化して、通気性材料を得る。この通気性材料は、液体不透過性で、透湿度は約150g/m2・24hrより大きい。90psiの圧力で試験サンプルの片側に空気を与えた状態でサンプルに流れる空気の容積流量を測定する方法によって、該材料の通気度を測定する。測定した通気度は、83ml/min/cm2である。
本実施例は、多層微多孔質コーティング層を有する本発明の通気性材料に関する。2.3oz/yd2の低伸びスパンボンド法ポリプロピレン(SBPP)不織布層に三層(ABA)からなる36g/m2のコーティング層を押出積層する。各A層は、45%のポリプロピレン、50%の炭酸カルシウム、及び5%の低密度ポリエチレン(LDPE)からなる組成物から形成した9g/m2の層である。芯のB層は、53%の炭酸カルシウム、41%の高密度ポリエチレン、4%の二酸化チタン、1%のCaOマスターバッチ、及び1%の成形助剤からなる18g/m2の層である。積層体を加熱されていない金属ロールに送り、200fpmで処理した後、直ちに噛み合い延伸する。MD噛み合係合深さは40ミルである。このサンプルについては、CD延伸は行わない。実施例1と同様な方法で測定した通気度は、41cc/min/cm2である。
Claims (25)
- 低伸び布層とその上に設けられた微多孔質コーティング層とを含む通気性材料であって、該微多孔質コーティング層が、結晶性ポリマー組成物及びフィラーを含有することを特徴とする通気性材料。
- 該低伸び布層が、低伸び不織布層からなるものである請求項1記載の通気性材料。
- 該低伸び不織布層が、ポリオレフィン直交積層オープンメッシュからなるものである請求項2記載の通気性材料。
- 該低伸び不織布層が、約0.7oz/yd2より大きい坪量をもつポリエチレン直交積層オープンメッシュからなるものである請求項3記載の通気性材料。
- 該低伸び不織布層が、スパンボンド法ポリプロピレンからなるものである請求項2記載の通気性材料。
- 該スパンボンド法ポリプロピレンが、約0.7oz/yd2より大きい坪量を有するものである請求項5記載の通気性材料。
- 該スパンボンド法ポリプロピレンが、約1oz/yd2以上の坪量を有するものである請求項5記載の通気性材料。
- 該結晶性ポリマー組成物が、50重量%以上の高密度ポリエチレンを含有するものである請求項1記載の通気性材料。
- 該フィラーが、炭酸カルシウムを含有する請求項1記載の通気性材料。
- 該微多孔質コーティング層が、単独層からなるものである請求項1記載の通気性材料。
- 該微多孔質コーティング層が、2以上の層からなるものである請求項1記載の通気性材料。
- さらに第二の布層を有しており、該コーティング層が低伸び布層と第二の布層との間に配置されている請求項1記載の通気性材料。
- 透湿度が、約150g/m2・24hrより大きい請求項1記載の通気性材料。
- 透湿度が、約2000g/m2・24hr未満である請求項13記載の通気性材料。
- 低伸び布層と、その上に設けられた高密度ポリエチレン及びフィラーを含有する微多孔質コーティング層とを含む通気性ハウスラップ材料。
- 該低伸び布層が、ポリオレフィン不織布層からなるものである請求項15記載の通気性ハウスラップ材料。
- 該低伸びポリオレフィン不織布層が、約0.7oz/yd2より大きい坪量をもつポリエチレン直交積層オープンメッシュからなるものである請求項16記載の通気性ハウスラップ材料。
- 該低伸び不織布層が、約0.7oz/yd2より大きい坪量をもつスパンポンド法ポリプロピレンからなるものである請求項16記載の通気性ハウスラップ材料。
- 低伸び布層に、結晶性ポリマー組成物及びフィラーを含有する組成物を押出コーティングして、該低伸び布層上にコーティング層を成形し、そして、コーティング処理した低伸び布層を増分延伸して、コーティング層を微多孔質化する通気性材料の製造方法。
- 該低伸び布層が低伸び不織布層からなり、かつ、該コーティング層を該不織布層上に形成する請求項19記載の製造方法。
- コーティング処理した不織布層を機械方向に増分延伸する請求項20記載の製造方法。
- コーティング処理した不織布層を約2%未満の伸びに増分延伸する請求項20記載の製造方法。
- 該低伸び不織布層が、約0.7oz/yd2より大きい坪量をもつポリエチレン直交積層オープンメッシュからなるものである請求項20記載の製造方法。
- 該低伸び不織布層が、約0.7oz/yd2より大きい坪量をもつスパンボンド法ポリプロピレンからなるものである請求項20記載の製造方法。
- 該結晶性ポリマー組成物が、高密度ポリエチレンを含有するものである請求項19記載の製造方法。
