Claims (29)
- 動物の体腔から不所望の物質を排出する排出装置であって、前記排出装置が、
少なくとも約50トルの真空供給源に接続するようにされた第一端及び動物の体腔に挿入するようにされた第二端を有するチューブと、
前記チューブの挿入部分の壁に形成された複数の孔とを有し、前記チューブの前記挿入部分は前記動物の前記体腔内に挿入されるように構成され、前記複数の孔はそれぞれ前記チューブの内孔からのそれぞれの吸引力を前記チューブの外側の物質に伝え、前記それぞれの吸引力は、いずれも前記動物の前記体腔内の近接した身体組織に損傷を生じるには不十分であるように前記複数の孔のそれぞれの面積が選択されている、排出装置。 - 前記動物が人間である、請求項1に記載の排出装置。
- 前記体腔が胸腔である、請求項1に記載の排出装置。
- 前記チューブの前記第一端が約100トル以上の真空供給源に接続されたとき、前記チューブの構造的一体性を維持するように前記チューブの壁の厚さが選択されている、請求項1に記載の排出装置。
- 前記チューブの壁に少なくとも100個の孔が形成されている、請求項4に記載の排出装置。
- 各孔が有する面積は、前記チューブの内径の約半分の直径を有する円の面積より大きくない、請求項1に記載の排出装置。
- 各孔はほぼ円形で、前記チューブの内径の約半分より大きくない直径を有する、請求項1に記載の排出装置。
- 各孔は、直径1mmの円の面積より大きくない面積を有する、請求項1に記載の排出装置。
- 各孔は、直径0.5mmの円の面積より大きくない面積を有する、請求項1に記載の排出装置。
- 前記チューブの寸法は、20F以下に相当する、請求項1に記載の排出装置。
- 更に、前記チューブの前記挿入部分と前記真空供給源との間に配置された一方向弁を含み、前記一方向弁は気体又は液体を前記体腔から前記真空供給源に向かって前記一方向弁を通って流させ、前記一方向弁は気体又は液体が前記真空供給源から前記体腔に向かって前記一方向弁を通って流れるのを制限する、請求項1に記載の排出装置。
- 前記一方向弁は前記チューブと前記真空供給源との間に置かれたコネクタ内に配置され、前記コネクタは前記チューブの前記第一端に接続されるようにされた第一端を有し、前記コネクタは少なくとも約50トルの真空供給源に接続されるようにされた第二端を有する、請求項11に記載の排出装置。
- 更に、真空室を有し、前記真空室は少なくとも約50トルの真空供給源に接続されるようにされた気体出口を有し、前記真空室は前記チューブの前記第一端に接続された入口を有し、前記入口は前記気体出口から前記チューブの前記第一端へ吸引力を伝達し、前記真空室は、液体排出出口を有し、前記液体排出出口を通って前記体腔からの液体物質が前記体腔から離れる方向に流れる、請求項1に記載の排出装置。
- 更に、前記真空室内に含まれる真空逃し弁を有し、前記真空室内の真空圧が予定の閾値を超えたときに、大気を前記真空室内に向けるように前記真空逃し弁が開く、請求項13に記載の排出装置。
- 約50トル以上の真空供給源と第一端及び第二端とを有するチューブを含む高真空圧体腔排出装置であって、
前記チューブの前記第一端が前記真空供給源に接続されるようにされ、前記チューブは、該チューブの挿入部分の壁に側孔を有し、前記チューブの前記挿入部分は動物の体腔に挿入されるように形成されていて、前記側孔のそれぞれは前記チューブの内孔から前記チューブの外側の物質にそれぞれの吸引力を伝達し、前記それぞれの孔によって伝達される前記それぞれの吸引力が前記体腔内の生体組織に損傷を生じるには不十分であるように前記側孔のそれぞれの面積が選ばれている、高真空圧体腔排出装置。 - 更に、前記体腔から前記真空供給源に向かう気体及び液体の一方向流を維持する一方向弁を有し、前記一方向弁は前記チューブの前記挿入部分と前記真空供給源との間に配置され、前記真空供給源が約50トル以上のときに、前記一方向流を維持するように構成されている、請求項15に記載の高真空圧体腔排出装置。
- 更に、大気側と真空側を有する真空逃し弁を含み、前記真空逃し弁の真空側の真空圧が予定の閾値を超えたとき、前記真空逃し弁を大気が通るように前記真空逃し弁が開き、前記真空逃し弁は前記チューブの前記挿入部分と前記真空供給源との間に配置されている、請求項15に記載の高真空圧体腔排出装置。
- 更に、前記チューブの前記挿入部分と前記真空供給源との間に配置された真空室を有し、前記真空室は、前記体腔から排出された気体状物質から、前記体腔から排出された液体物質を実質的に分離する、請求項15に記載の高真空圧体腔排出装置。
- 前記真空供給源が約100トル以上である、請求項15に記載の高真空圧体腔排出装置。
- 約50トル以上の真空供給源と、真空端と挿入端を有するチューブと、排出チューブ端と真空端を有するコネクタと、真空室とを含む高効率の体腔排出装置であって、
前記チューブの前記真空端は真空力を受けるようにされ、前記チューブは構造上十分な強さを有していて、前記真空力が前記真空端に印加されるときに、つぶれるのが避けられ、前記チューブは前記挿入端近くの前記挿入部分の壁に側孔を有し、前記チューブの前記挿入部分は動物の体腔内に挿入されるように構成され、前記側孔はそれぞれ前記チューブ内部の空間から前記チューブ外側の空間へそれぞれの吸引力を向け、前記孔のそれぞれによって向けられるそれぞれの吸引力は、前記体腔内に露出される前記動物の身体の部分に損傷を生じるには不十分であるように、前記側孔のそれぞれの面積が選ばれていて、
前記コネクタは、前記コネクタの前記排出チューブ端から前記真空端へ向かう液体又は気体を流させる一方向弁を有し、前記一方向弁は、前記コネクタの前記真空端から前記排出チューブ端に向かう液体又は気体の流れを実質的に制限し、前記排出チューブ端は前記チューブの前記真空端に接続され、前記コネクタの前記真空端は真空力を受けるようにされていて、
前記真空室は、前記真空供給源に結合された気体出口を有し、前記真空室は、前記コネクタの前記真空端に結合された入口を有し、前記入口は、前記気体出口から前記コネクタの前記真空端に真空力を伝達し、前記真空室は液体排出出口を有し、前記体腔からの液体物質は該液体排出出口を通って体腔から離れる方向へ流れるようにした、
高効率の体腔排出装置。 - 更に、前記真空室に真空逃し弁を有し、前記真空逃し弁は大気側と真空側を有し、前記真空逃し弁の前記真空側の真空圧が予定の閾値を超えると、前記真空逃し弁が開いて、大気が前記真空逃し弁を通るようにした、請求項20に記載の高効率の体腔排出装置。
- 前記真空供給源が約100トル以上である、請求項20に記載の高効率の体腔排出装置。
- 前記側孔のいずれかの最大面積は、前記チューブの内径の2分の1より小さい直径を有する円の面積とほぼ同じである、請求項20に記載の高効率の体腔排出装置。
- 前記側孔のいずれかの最大面積は、直径1mm以下の円の面積とほぼ同じである、請求項20に記載の高効率の体腔排出装置。
- 前記側孔のいずれかの最大面積は、直径0.5mm以下の円の面積とほぼ同じである、請求項20に記載の高効率の体腔排出装置。
- 約50トル以上の真空供給源を受ける手段と、前記真空供給源を動物の体腔内の複数の個所に分配及び印加する手段と、前記複数の個所のそれぞれに印加されるそれぞれの吸引力を調節して、前記それぞれの吸引力がそれぞれ前記体腔内に露出される身体の組織を損傷できないようにする手段とを有する高真空圧、高効率体腔排出装置。
- 更に、前記体腔から排出された液体及び気体を前記体腔から離れる方向への一方向流を維持する手段を有する、請求項26に記載の高真空圧、高効率体腔排出装置。
- 更に、前記排出装置内の前記真空圧が予定の閾値を超えると、大気を前記排出装置に流入させることにより、前記高真空圧、高効率体腔排出装置内の真空圧を前記予定のレベルに維持する手段を有する、請求項26に記載の高真空圧、高効率体腔排出装置。
- 更に、前記体腔から排出された液体を、前記体腔から排出された気体から分離する手段を有する、請求項26に記載の高真空圧、高効率体腔排出装置。
