本発明はまた、高データレートの記録用途のためのかような多積層光データ記憶媒体の使用に関する。
最初の段落において述べたタイプの光データ記憶媒体の例は、本出願人によって出願された米国特許US6,190,750より知られている。
相変化の原理に基づく光データ記憶媒体は魅力的である。なぜなら、直接上書き(DOW)及び高記憶密度の可能性と共に、読み取り専用の光データ記憶システムとの容易な互換性を併せ持つからである。本文脈においてデータ記憶は、ディジタルビデオ、ディジタルオーディオ及びソフトウェアのデータ記憶を含む。相変化光記録は、例えばフォーカスされたレーザ光ビームのような、フォーカスされた比較的高パワーの放射ビームを利用した、結晶質記録層におけるマイクロメータ以下のサイズの非結晶記録マークの形成を含む。情報の記録の間、前記媒体は、記録されるべき情報に従って変調された前記フォーカスされたレーザ光ビームに対して移動させられる。高パワーのレーザ光ビームが前記結晶質記録層を融解させたときにマークが形成される。前記レーザ光ビームがスイッチオフされた場合、及び/又は続いて前記記録層に対して移動させられた場合、前記記録層において溶解したマークの急冷が起こり、前記記録層の露光されたエリアにおいて非結晶のマークを残す。前記記録層は、露光されていないエリアにおいて結晶質のままである。書き込まれた非結晶のマークの消去は、前記記録層の融解を伴わない、より低いパワーレベルでの同一のレーザを用いた加熱を通じた再結晶化によって実現される。前記非結晶のマークはデータビットを表し、例えば基板を介して、比較的に低パワーのフォーカスされたレーザ光ビームによって読み取られることができる。前記結晶質の記録層に対する前記非結晶のマークの反射の差は変調されたレーザ光ビームをもたらし、該ビームは続いて検出器によって、前記記録された情報に従って変調された光電流に変換される。
相変化光記録における最も重要な要求の1つは、高いデータレートである。このことは、少なくとも30乃至50Mbit/sのユーザデータレートを用いてデータが前記媒体に書き込まれる及び再書き込みされることができることを意味する。高データレートは、高密度記録及び高データレート光記録媒体においてとりわけ必要とされる。かような光記録メディアは、ディスク型のCD−RWハイスピード、DVD−RW、DVD+RW、DVD−RAM、DVR−red及びDVD−blue(Blu-rayディスク(BD)とも呼ばれる)といったものであり、それぞれは、知られたコンパクト・ディスク(Compact
Disk)、新世代高密度ディジタル・バーサタイル又はビデオ・ディスク(Digital Versatile
or Video Disk+RW及び-RAM、ここでRW及びRAMはかようなディスクの書き込み可能性を指す)、及びディジタル・ビデオ・レコーディング(Digital
Video Recording)光記憶ディスク(ここでred及びblueは利用されるレーザ波長を示す)の略である。かような高データレートは、前記記録層がDOWの間に高い結晶化速度、即ち30nsよりも短い結晶化時間を持つことを必要とする。このことは、上述のディスクの多積層のバージョンの記録層にも当てはまる。完全消去時間(CET)は、結晶の環境に書き込まれた非結晶のマークの完全な結晶化のための消去パルスの最小持続時間として定義される。前記CETは一般に、静的なテスタを用いて測定される。120mmのディスクにつき4.7GBの記録密度を持つDVD+RWについては、26Mbit/sのユーザデータビットレートが必要とされ、DVR−blueについては前記レートは35Mbit/sである。DVD+RW及びDVR−blueの高速なバージョンについては、50Mbit/s以上のデータレートが必要とされる。AV情報ストリームは、オーディオ/ビデオ(AV)のアプリケーションについて前記データレートを決定するが、コンピュータデータのアプリケーションについては適用されるデータレートに制約はなく、即ち高ければ高いほど好ましい。これらのデータビットレートのそれぞれは、例えば記録積層の熱設計及び利用される記録層物質のような幾つかのパラメータによって影響を受ける最大CETに言い換えられることができる。

以前に記録された非結晶のマークがDOWの間に再結晶化されることができることを確実にするため、前記記録層は前記レーザ光ビームに対する前記媒体の速度に釣り合う適切な結晶化速度を持つ必要がある。前記結晶化速度が十分に高くない場合には、古いデータを表す以前の記録による非結晶マークがDOWの間に完全に消去、即ち再結晶化されることができない。一方、前記結晶化時間が短い場合には、非結晶化が困難となる。なぜなら、結晶質のバックグラウンドからの微結晶成長が不可避となるからである。このことは、不規則なエッジを持つ比較的小さな非結晶マーク(低い変調)に帰着し、高いジッタレベルを引き起こす。このことは、前記ディスクの密度及びデータレートを制限する。比較的高い冷却速度を持つ積層は非常に望ましい。多積層光記録においては、「更なる」記録積層における十分な冷却能力を持つ層の不在のため、前記更なる記録積層についてのこの高い冷却速度という要求を満たすことは困難である。多積層設計は記号Lnによって表され、ここでnは0又は正の整数を表す。前記放射ビームが入射する積層はL0と呼ばれ、より深い各層はL1・・・Lnによって表される。より深いとは、入射される放射ビームの方向から見たものであると理解されるべきである。かくして、2積層設計の場合には、2つの積層L0及びL1が存在する。L0は、最深の「第1の」層(L1)における記録を可能とするために、前記放射ビームに対して略透明である必要がある。しかしながら、比較的高い透明度と十分な冷却又はヒートシンク効果とを併せ持つ層は、得ることが困難である。
例えばDVRディスクを用いて、所謂MIPI積層においてAl反射層がAg反射層によって置換される場合に、ジッタレベル及びデータレートがかなり改善されることができることは実証されてきた。ここでMは金属反射層、IはZnS−SiO2、Pは例えばGeInSbTe記録層である。このことは、AgがAlより優れた熱伝導性を持つために、Agを利用することが冷却速度を増大させるという事実による。このことは50Mbit/sのDVRディスクの実現に導く。しかしながら、Agとしばしば利用されるZnS−SiO2誘電層との間に起こり得るAgSを生成する化学反応のために、前記ディスクの貯蔵寿命が許容できないものとなり得る。薄いAgの導入は上述の反応に導き、かくして前記ディスクの貯蔵寿命を悪化させる。このことは高いノイズレベルを引き起こし得る。
上述したように、多積層記録については、前記放射ビームが最初に入射して通る前記更なる記録積層は、第1の記録積層の適切な読み取り/書き込み特性を確実にするために十分に透過性である必要がある。米国特許US6,190,750の前記既知の媒体は、再書き込み可能な相変化記録のための|IP2IM2I+|S|IP1IM1|構造を持つ。該構造は2つの金属反射層M1及びM2を持ち、M1は比較的厚く高い光反射性を持ち、M2は比較的高い光透過性とかなりの熱伝導性とを持つ。Iは誘電層を表し、I+は更なる誘電層を表す。P1及びP2は相変化記録層を表し、Sは透明なスペーサ(spacer)層を表す。本構造において、前記レーザ光ビームは最初にP2を含む積層(L0)を通って入射する。前記金属層は反射層として働くだけでなく、書き込みの間に非結晶相を急冷するため急速な冷却を確実にするためのヒートシンクとしても働く。P1層は比較的厚い金属ミラー層M1の近くに存在し、該層M1は記録の間P1層のかなりの冷却を引き起こす。一方P2層は、限られたヒートシンク特性を持つ比較的薄い金属層M2の近くに存在する。既に説明されたように、記録層の冷却作用が、記録の間の非結晶マークの正常な形成をかなりの程度決定する。記録の間に適切な非結晶マークの形成を確実とするために、十分なヒートシンク効果が必要とされる。
既知の媒体においては、金属層M2は好ましくはAgを有し、10nmと30nmとの間の厚さを持つ。薄い層は、記録の間の前記記録層の非結晶相の急冷即ち急速な冷却のためには不十分である点に留意されたい。最小限の厚さの必要性のため、M2層の透過性は依然として比較的低い。それ故、L1記録層のためには、かなり高い放射ビーム書き込みパワーが必要とされる。しかしながら、大きな放射ビームパワーは好ましくは回避されるべきである。なぜなら、前記第1の(L0)記録積層に隣接する更なる記録積層が、前記第1の記録積層の記録層にフォーカスされる前記放射ビームによって望ましくなく加熱され得るからである。
それ故本発明の目的は、最初の段落に記載した種類の多積層光データ記憶媒体であって、前記更なる記録積層が、前記記録積層の記録層における適切な非結晶マークの形成を確実にするために比較的高い放射ビーム透過性と十分なヒートシンク効果とを持ち、かつ隣接する層に対して低い化学反応性を持つ、透明な金属層を有する媒体を提供することにある。
本目的は、前記金属の反射層が主に元素Cuを有し、2乃至10nmの範囲から選択された厚さ値を持つことにおいて達成される。
比較的薄いCu層を透明な金属の反射層として利用することが提案される。驚くべきことに、低い厚さ即ち2nmと10nmとの間の厚さを持つCu層が、適切な非結晶マーク形成を確実にするための依然としてかなりのヒートシンク効果を持ち、AlやAgのような他の金属に比べて比較的高い前記放射ビームに対する光透過性を持つことが見出された。更にCu層は、例えばZnS−SiO2層のような隣接する層に対する、比較的低い反応性を持つ。ZnS−SiO2層との組み合わせにおいてAgSの形成に影響を受け易いAgに比べて、図2A及び2Bに示されるように、いずれの反応性も殆ど測定されない。
本発明による光データ記憶媒体の実施例においては、前記金属の反射層は、6乃至8nmの範囲から選択された厚さ値を持つ。この範囲は、例えば低い非結晶マークのジッタ値のような、優れた記録特性と高い光透過性を併せ持つことが実証されている。
他の実施例においては、前記金属の反射層は、前記更なる記録積層の前記記録層の、前記第1の記録積層の側に存在する。このことは、L0積層の記録層のより高い吸収という利点を持つ。
更に他の実施例においては、前記第1の記録積層の前記記録層の、前記更なる記録積層と反対の側において、更なる金属の反射層が前記第1の記録積層中に存在する。このため、前記第1の記録積層の反射率が増大され、更に2重積層媒体の場合には、例えばL1のような前記第1の記録積層の冷却作用が例えばL0のような更なる記録積層の冷却作用と適切に釣り合う。前記第1の記録積層は前記放射ビームが最後に到達する積層であるため、前記更なる金属の反射層は不透明であっても良い。前記第1の記録積層の金属反射層としては、Al、Ti、Au、Ni、Cu、Ag、Rh、Pt、Pd、Ni、Co、Mn及びCrといった金属並びにこれら金属の合金が利用されることができる。適切な合金の例は、AlTi、AlCr及びAlTaである。当該金属の反射層の厚さは重要ではないが、最大限の反射を得るために好ましくは透過率はゼロである。実用的な理由のため、前記厚さは通常約100−150nmよりも高くない。
好適な実施例においては、前記更なる金属の反射層は主に元素Cuを有する。前記第1の記録積層(Ln)におけるCuの利用は、Agに比べて低い化学反応性という利点を持つ。更にこのため、2つの異なる金属の適用が回避され、前記媒体の製造の間、例えばより経済的であるという点で有利である。
有利な実施例においては、前記第1の記録積層及び前記更なる記録積層の前記記録層は、Al2O3、SiC、Si3N4、MgO、ZnO及びAlN並びにこれらの不定比組成から成る群から選択された化合物を有する少なくとも1つの付加的な層と接し、前記付加的な層は最大で10nmの厚さを持つ。これらの層は、DOWの間の非結晶マークの結晶化速度を増大させ、より高いとり得るデータレートに直接導く。これらの層と前記記録層との間の界面は、前記非結晶のマークの結晶化のための核形成源として作用する。前記付加的な層は比較的小さな厚さを持つ。それ故前記付加的な層は、前記記録層における前記ヒートシンク層への熱の伝導能力に対して比較的小さな影響しか与えない。換言すれば、前記ヒートシンク効果が前記付加的な層によって殆ど変化を受けない。
好ましくは、前記記録層は元素Sb及びTeを有する。前記記録層は相変化型のものである。相変化物質は、結晶−非結晶の相転移を示す。更に有用なものは、In−Sb−Te、Te−Se−Sb、Ag−In−Sb−Te、Ge−Sb−Te、Ge−In−Sb−Teの化合物である。特に有用なものは、共に本出願人によって出願された、国際特許出願公開WO01/13370及びWO97/50084に記載された化合物である。国際特許出願公開WO97/50084に記載された化合物は、化学式Ge50xSb40−40xTe60−10xによる原子百分率で規定された組成を持つ。ここで0.166≦x≦0.444である。これらの組成は、三角形のGe−Sb−Te組成図において、化合物GeTe及びSb2Te3を接続する直線に配置され、定比組成(stoichiometric compound)Ge2Sb2Te5(x=0.444)、GeSb2Te4(x=0.286)及びGeSb4Te7(x=0.166)を含む。これらの化合物は、短い結晶化(消去)時間を示す。
国際特許出願公開WO01/13370に記載された化合物は、化学式QaInbSbcTed(原子百分率)による原子百分率で規定された組成を持つ。ここでQはAg及びGeから成る群から選択され、

好ましくは、前記更なる記録積層の記録層は、3nmと15nmとの間の厚さを持つ。より厚い層は、低すぎる光透過性に帰着し得る。前記第1の記録積層の記録層はより厚く、例えば3nmと50nmとの間である。
全ての記録積層において、誘電層が相変化記録層の側面に存在し、該誘電層に前記放射ビームが入射する。該誘電層は、一般に有機のスペーサ層の影響から前記記録層を保護し、光コントラストを最適化する。当該光コントラストを考慮して、当該層の厚さは好ましくは15乃至150nmの範囲に制限される。
前記第1の記録積層において、前記記録層と前記好適な金属の反射層との間の誘電層は、10nmと40nmとの間、好ましくは15nmと30nmとの間である。当該層が薄すぎると、前記記録層と前記金属の反射層との間の断熱が悪影響を受ける。それ故、前記記録層の冷却速度が大きくなりすぎ、劣った結晶化プロセス及びことによると劣った繰り返し可能性に導き得る。前記誘電層の厚さを増大させることは、冷却速度を減少させる。比較的厚い誘電層は、前記第1の記録積層の記録層の感度を増大させるために好ましい。
誘電層Iは、好ましくはZnSとSiO2との混合物、例えば(ZnS)80(SiO2)20でできている。該層はまた、SiO2、Ta2O5、TiO2、ZnS、Si3N4及びAlN(これらの不定比組成(non-stoichiometric
composition)を含む)でできていても良い。

前記第1の記録積層と更なる記録積層との間の透明なスペーサ層は、前記レーザ光ビームのフォーカスの深度よりも大きな、例えば10乃至15μmといった厚さを持つ。この厚さは、前記第1及び第2の記録積層が光学的に分離されることを確実にする。即ち前記第1の記録積層の記録層にフォーカスされたレーザ光ビームは、前記更なる記録積層から情報を読み取らない/前記更なる記録積層に情報を書き込まない。また逆も成り立つ。このようにして、単一の層のデータ記憶媒体に比べて、記憶容量が増大させられる。前記スペーサ層の物質は、例えばUV硬化性アクリレート接着剤であり、当該層には複製処理によってサーボトラックが備えられても良い。
前記データ記憶媒体の基板は、前記レーザの波長に対して透明であっても良く、例えばポリカーボネート、ポリメチルメタクリレート(PMMA)、アモルファスポリオレフィン又はガラスからできていても良い。前記基板の透明性は、前記放射ビームが前記基板の入射面を介して前記記録積層に入射する場合にのみ必要とされる。典型的な例においては、前記基板はディスク型であり、120mmの直径と0.6又は1.2mmの厚さを持つ。前記レーザ光ビームが前記基板の側と反対の側を介して入射する場合には、前記基板は不透明であっても良い。
前記記録積層の側における前記ディスク型の基板の記録積層のそれぞれは、好ましくはサーボトラックを備える。該サーボトラックは光学的に走査されることができる。当該サーボトラックは、しばしば螺旋形のグルーブ(groove)によって構成され、射出成型又はプレスの間に金型によって前記基板中に形成される。これらのグルーブは、代替として、例えばUV硬化性アクリレートのような、前記スペーサ層の合成樹脂における複製処理において形成されても良い。
任意に、前記積層の最も外側の層は、例えば0.1mmのUV硬化性ポリアクリレート(ポリメタクリレート)(DVR)又は0.6mmのポリカーボネートディスク(DVD)のような保護層によって周囲の環境から保護される。前記レーザ光が前記保護層を介して前記記録積層に入射する場合には、前記保護層は優れた光学品質のもの、即ち光学収差が略無く、厚さが略均一であるものである必要がある。この場合には、明らかに、前記保護層は前記レーザ光に対して透明である。
前記記録積層の記録層におけるデータの記録及び消去は、例えば670nm(赤色)乃至405nm(青色)又は更に短い波長を利用した、短波長レーザを利用して実現されても良い。
前記金属の反射層及び前記誘電層は両方とも真空蒸着によって提供されても良い。
前記相変化記録層は、真空蒸着によって前記基板に塗布されても良い。知られた真空蒸着処理は、蒸発(Eビーム蒸発、るつぼからの抵抗加熱蒸着)、スパッタリング、低圧化学気相成長(Chemical Vapor Deposition、CVD)、イオンプランティング(Ion Planting)、イオンビーム蒸着(Ion Beam Assisted Evaporation)、プラズマCVD(Plasma enhanced CVD)である。通常の熱的CVD処理は、高すぎる反応温度のため適切ではない。
本発明は、例示的な実施例によって、及び添付する図を参照しながら、より詳細に説明されるであろう。
図1において、多積層光データ記憶媒体20であって、媒体20の入射面16を通って入射するレーザ光ビーム30による再書き込み可能な記録のための媒体20が示される。前記媒体はポリカーボネート(PC)でできた基板1を持ち、基板1の側面には、
入射面16から最も離れた位置に存在する、相変化型記録層6を有する第1の記録積層2(L1)と、
前記第1の記録積層2よりも入射面16に近くに存在する、相変化型記録層12を有する更なる記録積層3(L0)と、

金属の反射層14はCuでできており、7nmの厚さを持つ。透明なスペーサ層9は、記録積層2と3との間に存在する。透明なスペーサ層9は30μmの厚さを持ち、該厚さはフォーカスされるレーザ光ビーム30のフォーカスの深度よりも大きい。第1の記録積層2の記録層6は、原子組成Ge5.0In5.5Sb65.0Te24.5を持つ化合物を有し、15nmの厚さを持つ。更なる金属の反射層4はCuでできており、100nmの厚さを持つ。該更なる金属の反射層4は、第1の記録積層2において、第1の記録積層2の記録層6の、更なる記録積層3と反対の側に存在する。20nmの厚さを持つ誘電層5は、記録層6と金属の反射層4との間に存在する。誘電層5は、化合物(ZnS)80(SiO2)20でできている。(ZnS)80(SiO2)20でできた誘電層7は90nmの厚さを持ち、第1の記録積層2において更なる記録積層に最も近い側に存在する。
更なる記録積層3の記録層12は、原子組成Ge5.0In5.5Sb65.0Te24.5を持つ化合物を有し、6nmの厚さを持つ。2つの誘電層11及び13は、それぞれ10nm及び60nmの厚さを持ち、化合物(ZnS)80(SiO2)20でできており、第2の記録積層3の記録層12に隣接して存在する。保護層15は、例えば100μmの厚さを持つレーザ光に対して透明なUV硬化性樹脂からできており、更なる記録積層3に隣接して存在する。スピンコーティング及びその後のUV硬化が層15を提供しても良い。保護層15はまた、例えば感圧接着剤(PSA)層によりポリカーボネート(PC)のシートを塗布することにより提供されても良い。
以下の表は、Cu又はAgが反射層14及び4として利用される場合の、種々のパラメータの比較の概略を示す。Rc1又はRa1はそれぞれ、記録層6が結晶相又は非結晶相である場合の、670nmの波長における第1の記録積層2即ちL1積層の光反射として定義される。光学的なコントラストは|Rcn−Ran|/Rmaxnとして定義され、この式においてRmaxnはRcn又はRanのいずれか大きい方である。nは積層(Ln)を示す。この場合において、積層3(L0)又は積層2(L1)のいずれにおいてもRmaxn=Rcnである。なぜならこの積層設計についてはRcnはRanよりも大きいからである。Tc0は、積層3の記録層12が結晶相である場合の、積層3(L0)の透過率として定義される。
670nmにおける屈折率(n)及び吸光率(k)が表1に示されている。最適化された積層の反射率、透過率及びコントラストもまた表1に示されている。670nmの波長及び7nmの厚さにおいて、Cuの反射層14を持つL0積層は略44%の透過率を持ち、Agの反射層14を持つL0積層は略40%の透過率を持つことが示されている。L0の記録層12が完全に非結晶である場合、これらの値はそれぞれ59%及び52%となる。実際には、完全な非結晶である記録層は通常生じない。L0積層の透過率は、Agの代わりにCuを利用した場合、約10%高いと結論され得る。Cuの反射層4を持つL1積層及びAgの反射層4を持つL1積層は、同様の結晶の反射率及びコントラストを持つ。
Cu及びAgのバルクの熱伝導率も表1に示されている。Cuのバルクの熱伝導率はAgのバルクの熱伝導率に非常に近い。薄い層の形をとるこれらの物質の熱伝導率は異なる値を持ち、より大きな差を示し得る。なぜなら、同等の層の厚さについて、Agに比べてCuはより優れた記録、従って冷却作用を示すことがわかっているからである。このことは、Cuの反射層14を含むL0記録積層3が、広い最適記録パワーのウィンドウを示す、即ちより高い記録パワーの利用を含む、記録実験から結論付けられる。該ウィンドウ内においては、書き込まれた非結晶マークの8.5%という低いジッタのレベルが得られる。このことは、より高い記録パワーの利用が依然として、積層3の高い冷却速度を示唆する、明確な記録非結晶マーク(低いジッタレベル)に帰着することを意味する。しかしながら、Agが反射層14として利用される場合、当該記録ウィンドウはより狭くなり、より低い冷却速度を示す。
図2A及び2Bにおいて、(基板)MI積層についての、ラザフォード後方散乱分光(RBS)分析の結果が示されている。ここで、それぞれM=Ag及びM=Cuであり、IはZnS:SiO2層である。(基板)MIは、RBS装置における利用のために作成された実験的な積層を指す。例えば2MeVといった高エネルギーのHe+イオンが、検査されるべき試料の原子によって散乱される。エネルギー即ちチャネルの関数として、正規化された収量によって表される、後方散乱されたHe+イオンの数の測定値は、深度の関数として前記物質の組成についての情報を提供する。深度スケールは、前記試料におけるHe+イオンの電子阻止によって決定される。スペクトルにおいて、横軸はチャネル(C)を表し、縦軸は正規化された収量(Y)を示す。ZnS:SiO2層及び続いてAg又はCu層が当該新たに堆積された試料に対して実行される。種々のピークを持つ得られたスペクトルにおいて、ラベル「t=0」は堆積された層を示す。その後、前記試料は、2時間真空中で300℃の温度に加熱される。この加熱ステップは、金属と隣接するZnS:SiO2層との間の反応作用を加速する。次いで、RBS測定が繰り返され、「t=2h@300℃」とラベル付けされたスペクトルを生じる。ZnS:SiO2からの例えばSを伴う金属層の反応は、Sのシフト及び広がりとして及び前記スペクトル中の金属ピークとして認識できる。図2A及び2Bにおいて、全ての元素についてのピークが、スパッタリングの直後において互いに分離されることが、明確に認識できる。図2Aに示されるように、2時間の300℃での処理の後、AgとZnS−SiO2層との間に相互拡散が発生して各単一のピークにおける大きな降下に帰着し、元素から元素への遷移が鋭くなくなる。このことは、幾つかの組成が化学反応の結果として形成されていることを示す。AgがCuによって置き換えられた場合、前記反応は殆ど完全に消滅する。このことは図2Bにおいて示される。
上述の実施例及び実験データは、本発明を限定するものではなく説明するものであって、当業者は添付する請求の範囲から逸脱することなく多くの代替実施例を設計することが可能であろうことは留意されるべきである。請求項において、括弧の間に配置されたいずれの参照記号も、請求の範囲を限定するものとして解釈されるべきではない。「有する(comprising)」という語は、請求項に列記されたもの以外の要素又はステップの存在を除外するものではない。要素に先行する「1つの(a又はan)」という語は、複数のかような要素の存在を除外するものではない。特定の手段が相互に異なる従属請求項に列挙されているという単なる事実は、これらの手段の組み合わせが有利に利用されることができないことを示すものではない。
本発明によれば、フォーカスされた放射ビームによる再書き込み可能な記録のための多積層光データ記憶媒体が提供される。前記媒体は、相変化型の記録層を有する少なくとも2つの記録積層を持つ。入射する放射ビームに最後に当たる記録積層以外の記録積層は、レーザ光ビームに対して高い透明性と前記積層中の記録層の優れた冷却作用とを併せ持つ金属の反射層を持つ。このことは、前記金属の反射層が主に元素Cuを有し、2nmと10nmとの間の厚さを持つことにより実現される。
Claims (8)
- 多積層光データ記憶媒体であって、記録の間前記媒体の入射面を通って入射するフォーカスされた放射ビームを利用した再書き込み可能な記録のための媒体であって、前記媒体は、
基板を有し、該基板の側面には、
相変化型の記録層を有する、前記入射面から最も離れた位置に存在する第1の記録積層と、
相変化型の記録層を有する、前記第1の記録積層よりも前記入射面の近くに存在する少なくとも1つの更なる記録積層と、前記放射ビームに対して透明な金属の反射層と、
前記フォーカスされたレーザ光ビームのフォーカスの深度よりも大きな厚さを持つ、前記記録積層間の透明なスペーサ層と、
が堆積された光データ記憶媒体において、
前記金属の反射層は主に元素Cuを有し、2乃至10nmの範囲から選択された厚さ値を持つことを特徴とする光データ記憶媒体。 - 前記金属の反射層は、6乃至8nmの範囲から選択された厚さ値を持つ、請求項1に記載の光データ記憶媒体。
- 前記金属の反射層は、前記更なる記録積層の前記記録層の、前記第1の記録積層の側に存在する、請求項1又は2に記載の光データ記憶媒体。
- 前記第1の記録積層の前記記録層の、前記更なる記録積層と反対の側において、更なる金属の反射層が前記第1の記録積層中に存在する、請求項1乃至3のいずれか一項に記載の光データ記憶媒体。
- 前記更なる金属の反射層は主に元素Cuを有する、請求項4に記載の光データ記憶媒体。
- 前記第1の記録積層及び前記更なる記録積層の前記記録層は、Al2O3、SiC、Si3N4、MgO、ZnO及びAlN並びにこれらの不定比組成から成る群から選択された化合物を有する少なくとも1つの付加的な層と接し、前記付加的な層は最大で10nmの厚さを持つ、請求項1乃至5のいずれか一項に記載の光データ記憶媒体。
- 前記記録層は元素Sb及びTeを有する、請求項1に記載の光データ記録媒体。
- 多積層及び高データレート記録のための請求項1乃至7のいずれか一項に記載の光データ記憶媒体の使用。
