Description
Claims (20)
- エンジン・バルブ事象を生成するために内燃機関の少なくとも1つのエンジン・バルブを作動させるバルブ作動システムであって、
エンジン・バルブ事象を生成するために少なくとも1つのエンジン・バルブに動きを付与する手段と、
前記動き付与手段から少なくとも1つのエンジン・バルブへと動きを伝達する1次手段と、
前記動き付与手段から少なくとも1つのエンジン・バルブへと動きを伝達する補助手段とを備えるバルブ作動システム。 - 前記1次手段が遮断又は故障している場合に、前記補助手段が少なくとも1つのエンジン・バルブを作動させる、請求項1に記載のバルブ作動システム。
- 前記補助手段が前記動き付与手段と一体である、請求項1に記載のバルブ作動システム。
- 前記動き付与手段が、カムと、前記カムと接触する手段を有するロッカとを備え、前記1次手段が、前記カムから前記ロッカを通して動きを選択的に受け取り、少なくとも1つのエンジン・バルブを作動して、エンジン・バルブ事象を生成するようにされたマスタ/スレーブ・ピストン・アセンブリを備える、請求項1に記載のバルブ作動システム。
- 前記補助手段が、前記ロッカから延在する第1接触表面を備える、請求項4に記載のバルブ作動システム。
- 前記少なくとも1つのエンジン・バルブに隣接する第2接触表面を備え、
前記第1接触表面が前記第2接触表面と接触して、少なくとも1つのエンジン・バルブを作動させ、エンジン・バルブ事象の少なくとも一部を生成する、請求項5に記載のバルブ作動システム。 - 前記第2接触表面がバルブ・ブリッジによって提供される、請求項6に記載のバルブ作動システム。
- 前記第2接触表面が、バルブ・ブリッジ内で滑動自在に受け入れられたピン・アセンブリを備える、請求項7に記載のバルブ作動システム。
- 前記第2接触表面が前記少なくとも1つのエンジン・バルブ上にある、請求項6に記載のバルブ作動システム。
- 前記1次手段が空動きシステムを備える、請求項1に記載のバルブ作動システム。
- エンジン・バルブ事象が主排気事象である、請求項1に記載のバルブ作動システム。
- 前記少なくとも1つのエンジン・バルブが排気バルブである、請求項1に記載のバルブ作動システム。
- 前記少なくとも1つのエンジン・バルブが吸気バルブである、請求項1に記載のバルブ作動システム。
- 内燃機関のバルブ作動システムにおいて、エンジン・バルブに動きを付与する手段を接続する空動きシステムの故障又は遮断中にエンジン・バルブ事象の少なくとも一部を生成するために、少なくとも1つのエンジン・バルブを作動させる方法であって、
動き付与手段から延在する作動手段を提供するステップと、
空動きシステムとは関係なくエンジン・バルブ事象の少なくとも一部を生成するエンジン・バルブを作動させるステップとを含む方法。 - 内燃機関の少なくとも1つのエンジン・バルブを作動して、エンジン・バルブ事象を生成するバルブ作動システムであって、
カムと、
前記カムと接触する手段を有するロッカと、
前記ロッカを通して前記カムから動きを選択的に受け取り、少なくとも1つのエンジン・バルブを作動して、エンジン・バルブ事象を生成するようにされた空動きシステムと、
前記ロッカから延在する第1接触表面とを備え、前記空動きシステムが遮断又は故障した場合に、前記第1接触表面が少なくとも1つのエンジン・バルブを作動させるバルブ作動システム。 - 前記空動きシステムが、ロッカを通してカムから動きを選択的に受け取り、少なくとも1つのエンジン・バルブを作動して、エンジン・バルブ事象を生成するようにされたマスタ/スレーブ・ピストン・アセンブリを備える、請求項15に記載のバルブ作動システム。
- 前記少なくとも1つのエンジン・バルブに隣接する第2接触表面を備え、
前記第1接触表面が前記第2接触表面と接触して、前記少なくとも1つのエンジン・バルブを作動し、エンジン・バルブ事象の少なくとも一部を生成する、請求項15に記載のバルブ作動システム。 - 前記第2接触表面がバルブ・ブリッジによって提供される、請求項17に記載のバルブ作動システム。
- 前記第2接触表面が、バルブ・ブリッジ内で滑動自在に受け入れられたピン・アセンブリを備える、請求項18に記載のバルブ作動システム。
- 前記第2接触表面が前記少なくとも1つのエンジンバルブの上にある、請求項17に記載のバルブ作動システム。
