拡張された形状において、各スプラインは谷部領域に接し、各逆スプラインは頂部領域に接することが望ましい。
一実施例において、本発明は、図1A乃至1Cにおいて、複数の蛇行帯104を備える符号100で示されるステントに関する。各蛇行帯は、頂部領域108と谷部領域112を交互に有し、ステントのほぼ全周に渡って延びる。蛇行帯104は、ステントの周囲全体に延びる。本発明はまた、ストラットを有していない環状の蛇行帯を意図しており、同蛇行帯はステントのほぼ全周に延びる。
通常、図2に示すように、互いに近接する蛇行帯は、複数の長手方向に延びるコネクタを介して互いに連結され、1つ以上の長手方向に延びるコネクタは、分節されたスパインの一部を形成する。
本発明のステントは、周知のステント製造技術を使用して製造されてもよい。本発明のステントの好適な製造方法には、レーザー切断、化学エッチング、又はチューブのスタンピングが含まれる。本発明のステントは、レーザー切断、化学エッチング、又はフラットシートのスタンピング、シートの圧延及び、任意でシートの溶接により製造されてもよい。他の好適な製造技術には、所望の設計によるステントの電極放電加工、又は成形が含まれる。ステントはまた、例えば、環状帯などの個々の部分を一緒に溶接して製造されてもよい。他のいずれの好適なステント製造工程が使用されてもよい。
本発明のステントは、大脳動脈に加え、冠状動脈、腎動脈、腸骨動脈を含む末梢動脈、及び頸部の動脈において使用されてもよい。しかしながら、本発明のステントは、血管系における使用に限定されることなく、動脈、静脈、胆管、尿道、卵管、気管支、気管、食道、及び前立腺を含むが、これらに限定されずに他の身体構造において有利に使用されてもよい。本発明のステントは、脳内の動脈間に使用されてもよく、動脈瘤のネック部分を越えて配置されたり、体内管における閉塞箇所に配置される。本発明のステントの寸法は、目的とするステントの用途に適している。
非遺伝物質からなる治療薬には、ヘパリン、ヘパリン誘導体、ウロキナーゼ、PPack(デキストロフェニルアラニンプロリンアルギニンクロロメチルケトン)等の抗血栓剤;エノキサプリン、アンジオペプチン、平滑筋細胞の増殖を阻止するモノクローナル抗体、ヒルジン、アセチルサリチル酸等の増殖抑制剤;デキサメタゾン、プレドニソロン、コルチコステロン、ブデソニド、エストロゲン、サルファサラジン、メサラミン等の抗炎症剤;パクリタキセル、5−フルオロウラシル、シスプラチン、ビンブラスチン、ビンクリスチン、エポシロン類、エンドスタチン、アンジオスタチン、チミジンキナーゼ抑制剤等の抗腫瘍剤/増殖抑制剤/抗有糸分裂剤;リドカイン、ブピバカイン、ロピバカイン等の麻酔薬;D−Phe−Pro−Argクロロメチルケトン、RGDペプチド含有化合物、ヘパリン、アンチトロンビン化合物、血小板受容体拮抗剤、アンチトロンビン抗体、抗血小板受容体抗体、アスピリン、プロスタグランジン抑制剤、血小板抑制剤、ダニ由来の抗血小板ペプチド等の抗血液凝固剤;成長因子阻害剤、成長因子受容体拮抗剤、転写活性化因子、翻訳促進因子等の血管細胞増殖促進剤;成長因子阻害剤、成長因子受容体拮抗剤、転写抑制剤、翻訳抑制剤、複製阻害剤、阻害抗体、成長因子に対する抗体、成長因子及び細胞毒素で構成される二官能性分子、抗体及び細胞毒素で構成される二官能性分子等の血管細胞増殖抑制剤;コレステロール低下薬;血管拡張剤;体内における血管作用機構を阻害する薬剤が含まれる。
Claims (27)
- 複数の蛇行帯からなるステントであって、各蛇行帯は頂部領域と谷部領域とを交互に備えてステントのほぼ全周に延びることと、蛇行帯の少なくとも1つは近接する蛇行帯に向かって延びるスプラインを有することと、互いに近接する蛇行帯は互いに連結されることとからなるステント。
- スプラインは近接する蛇行帯から延びる逆スプラインに向かって延びることと、互いに近接する蛇行帯は互いに連結されることとからなる請求項1に記載のステント。
- スプラインは頂部領域から延び、逆スプラインは谷部領域から延びる請求項2に記載のステント。
- スプラインは、蛇行帯の1つにある複数の頂部領域から、近接する蛇行帯の谷部領域から延びる逆スプラインに向かって延びる請求項3に記載のステント。
- スプラインは2つ以上の蛇行帯の頂部領域から延び、各スプラインは近接する蛇行帯の谷部領域から延びる逆スプラインに向かって延びる請求項4に記載のステント。
- 各蛇行帯は、同蛇行帯から延びる少なくとも1つのスプライン又は逆スプラインを有する請求項3に記載のステント。
