さらに他の実施例においては、本発明は、ステントであって、交互に配置される山部及び谷部を備える複数の環状の蛇行帯と、複数のコネクタコラムと、各コネクタコラムは、近接する2つの環状の蛇行帯の間に位置して複数のコネクタストラットを備えることと、コネクタコラム内のこれらのコネクタストラットは、1つの環状の蛇行帯の各山部と近接する環状の蛇行帯の対向する谷部との間に、平面視において少なくとも3個の異なるコネクタストラットを有するように配置されることと、各コネクタストラットは、一方の端部において1つの環状の蛇行帯に連結され、他方の端部において別の環状の蛇行帯に連結されて、2個のみの踏み面と少なくとも1個以上3個以下の蹴上げとを有することと、各踏み面はステントの周方向に延びることと、各蹴上げはステントの長手方向に延びることと、コネクタストラットのこれら踏み面は蹴上げを介して互いに連結されることと、ステントが圧縮された状態にあるときに、各コネクタストラットは、近接する2個の周方向に延びるコネクタストラットに接触し、さらに、隣り合う2個の周方向に延びるコネクタストラットは、2個の蹴上げと2個の踏み面とにより囲まれたほぼ平行四辺形をなす空間を構成することとを特徴とする。
一実施例において、本発明は、図1Aにおいて符号100で示されるようなステントに関し、同ステントは第1の自由端部104と第2の自由端部108とを有し、複数の環状の蛇行帯112と複数のコネクタコラム120とを備える。各環状の蛇行帯112は、複数の交互に配置される山部及び谷部を形成する。各コネクタコラム120は、近接する2つの環状の蛇行帯112の間に位置し、1個以上のコネクタストラット124を備える。各コネクタストラット124は、一方の端部128において環状の蛇行帯の1つと連結され、他方の端部132において別の環状の蛇行帯に連結される。
バルーン拡張型ステントの場合、バルーンカテーテルを使用して、ステントを体内の所望の位置へ搬送してもよい。次に、バルーンを膨張させてステントを拡張させる。その後、バルーンは収縮させられてカテーテルは抜去される。自己拡張型ステントの場合、ステントは適したカテーテルに担持されて搬送される。通常、そのようなカテーテルは、保持シースを備えており、ステントが配置されるまで所定の位置にステントを保持する。配置されると、シースは回収されてステントは拡張される。
Claims (19)
- ステントであって、
複数の環状の蛇行帯と、
複数のコネクタコラムとを備え、
各コネクタコラムは、近接する2つの環状の蛇行帯の間に位置して複数のコネクタストラットを備えることと、
各コネクタストラットは、一方の端部において1つの環状の蛇行帯に連結され、他方の端部において別の環状の蛇行帯に連結されて、2個のみの踏み面と少なくとも1個以上3個以下の蹴上げとを有することと、
各踏み面はステントの周方向に延びることと、各蹴上げはステントの長手方向に延びることと、コネクタストラットのこれら踏み面は蹴上げを介して互いに連結されることと、
ステントが圧縮された状態にあるときに、各コネクタストラットは、近接する2個の周方向に延びるコネクタストラットに接触し、さらに、隣り合う2個の周方向に延びるコネクタストラットは、2個の蹴上げと2個の踏み面とにより囲まれたほぼ平行四辺形をなす空間を構成することとを特徴とするステント。 - 蹴上げを介して互いに連結される踏み面は、斜状をなす踏み面の幅の4倍未満の空間により互いに離間される請求項1に記載のステント。

- 前記コネクタストラットは階段形状をなす請求項9に記載のステント。
