Abstract
【解決手段】燃焼機関、伝熱面または燃焼器の下流配管中での煤の形成を初期に減少する及び/または煤の自動燃焼を助けるように煤の発生により非常に汚染されている残留燃料の燃焼を改良する方法において、残留燃料に、処理処方の少なくとも一部に対して、0.0005−0.15ppmの濃度の白金及び0.05−20ppmの合計濃度のセリウム及び/または鉄を含む多成分系触媒組成物を添加する残留燃料の燃焼を改良する方法。
Description
本発明の好ましい構成の多くは、以下に記載される。同等な組成物も考えられる。
この実施例は、No.2油へ2種金属からなる白金及びセリウム燃料生成触媒(FBC)を16ppm及び8ppmで添加し、そして1.2mmBtu/時のテスト燃焼器で燃やしてテストする。図1a及び1bに示されるように、燃料中8ppm及び16ppmの合計触媒で使用された2種金属からなるFBCの両者は、微粒子の質量の排出を50−70%減少させた(図1a)。煙の色の濃さも15−45%薄くなった(図1b)。
この実施例は、No.6重質油に使用された3種金属からなる鉄、セリウム及び白金の触媒(同じテスト燃焼器で燃やされた)の結果を示す。結果は図2a及び図2bに要約されている。
この実施例は、通常の硫黄燃料及び参考のULSDに対して合計4ppmで市販の超低硫黄ディーゼルに使用されそして1998DDCシリーズ60エンジンでテストされた白金及びセリウムの2種金属からなるFBCに関する結果を示す。結果は以下の表に要約される。
Claims (8)
- 燃焼機関、伝熱面または燃焼器の下流配管中での煤の形成を初期に減少する及び/または煤の自動燃焼を助けるように煤の発生により非常に汚染されている残留燃料の燃焼を改良する方法において、残留燃料に、処理処方の少なくとも一部に対して、0.0005−0.15ppmの濃度の白金及び0.05−20ppmの合計濃度のセリウム及び/または鉄を含む多成分系触媒組成物を添加することを特徴とする残留燃料の燃焼を改良する方法。
- 燃焼機関、伝熱面または燃焼器の下流配管中での煤の形成を初期に減少する及び/または煤の自動燃焼を助けるように炭素質煤のより少ないが顕著な生成を生ずる蒸留燃料油と分類されるもの例えばNo.燃料油のような燃料軽油の燃焼を改良する方法において、軽油に、0.0005−0.15ppmの濃度の白金及び0.5−8ppmの合計濃度のセリウム及び/または鉄を含む多成分系触媒組成物を添加することを特徴とする燃料軽油の燃焼を改良する方法。
- 主として天然ガスで操作される二段燃料ディーゼルエンジンのパイロット燃料の燃焼を改良する方法において、パイロット燃料に、0.0005−0.15ppmの濃度の白金及び0.5−8ppmの合計濃度のセリウム及び/または鉄を含む多成分系触媒組成物を添加することを特徴とする二段燃料ディーゼルエンジンのパイロット燃料の燃焼を改良する方法。
- 二種の金属及び三種の金属からなる白金の組み合わせが、低い添加原料速度及びコストを生ずる低温の煤の酸化をもたらす請求項1−3の何れか1つの項の方法。
- 方法の使用が、約6ppmの二種の金属及び三種の金属からなる白金の組み合わせにより、煤の酸化温度を未処理の燃料の540−600℃から処理された燃料の300℃に低下させる請求項1−3の何れか1つの項の方法
- 白金では約0.0005ppmに低下したレベルそしてセリウム及び鉄では約0.5ppmのレベルの白金組成物並びにセリウム及び/または鉄組成物を含む多成分系燃焼触媒を燃料または燃焼空気と混合し、

示された改良の1つ以上を達成する時間及び条件下で有効な触媒のレベルを利用する処理の処方で触媒の存在下空気により燃料を燃焼し、
次に少なくとも或る期間、白金では約0.0005ppmに低下したレベルそしてセリウム及び鉄では約0.5ppmのレベルで白金組成物並びにセリウム及び/または鉄組成物を含む多成分系燃焼触媒を燃料または燃焼空気と混合することにより利用する触媒の量を変化させ、
そして示された改良の1つ以上を達成する時間及び条件下で有効な触媒のレベルを利用する処理の処方で触媒の存在下空気により燃料を燃焼する
ことからなることを特徴とする炭素質燃料を燃焼する方法。 - 高い触媒濃度を利用する処理処方の少なくとも一部に対して、白金では0.0005−0.15ppmのレベルそしてセリウム及び鉄では0.05−1.0ppmのレベルの白金組成物並びにセリウム及び/または鉄組成物を含む多成分系燃焼触媒を燃料と混合し、そして
