Claims (12)
- 情報担体への平均アクセス時間を減少させるためのバッファを備えた再生装置であって、該バッファへセクタ(S)を書き込むために、及び前記バッファにおいてセクタ(S)を検出するために、複数の位置ホルダ(PH)及び3つの変数(la、lf及びlu)を有する制御テーブル(CS)が与えられており、該位置ホルダ(PH)が、何れの場合にも、3つの領域(AS、FS及びUS)に分割された1つの終端無しの位置ホルダ(PH)の連鎖における次の位置ホルダ(PH)をインデックス(next)を用いて指定し、そのために、前記変数(la、lf、lu)の1つが、前記領域(AS、FS及びUS)の1つへの所定のエントリポイントをそれぞれ特定することを特徴とする再生装置。
- 前記制御テーブル(CS)が、アプリケーションメモリ(AM)内に配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の再生装置。
- 前記位置ホルダ(PH)が、前記バッファに書き込まれた前記セクタ(S)内に与えられていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の再生装置。
- 前記バッファがトラックバッファ(TB)であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の再生装置。
- 前記3つの変数(la、lf及びlu)及び最も小さな値のインデックス(next)を有する前記位置ホルダ(PH)のみが、前記制御テーブル(CS)の初期化段階において初期化されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の再生装置。
- 前記アプリケーションメモリ(AM)内の前記位置ホルダ(PH)の配置において、前記バッファの各記録位置が位置ホルダ(PH)に割り当てられることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の再生装置。
- 前記位置ホルダ(PH)の終端無しの連鎖の前記3つの領域(AS、FS及びUS)が、割り当てられたセクタ(S)の領域(AS)、割り当てが解除されたセクタ(S)の領域(FS)、及び割り当てられていないセクタ(S)の領域(US)であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の再生装置。
- 変数(la)が、割り当てられたセクタ(S)の領域(AS)における最初のセクタ(S)を指定するために与えられており、変数(lf)が、割り当てが解除されたセクタ(S)の領域(FS)における最初のセクタ(S)を指定するために与えられており、さらに変数(lu)が、割り当てられていないセクタ(S)の領域(US)における最初のセクタ(S)を指定するために与えられており、これらの変数が、それぞれの領域(AS、FS又はUS)への所定のエントリポイントを形成することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の再生装置。
- 割り当てられていないセクタ(S)の領域(US)におけるセクタ(S)が、割り当てられていないセクタ(S)の領域(US)において、割り当てられたセクタ(S)の領域(AS)における最初のセクタ(S)を指定する最後のセクタ(S)を除いて、連鎖した順序から逸脱する方法で与えられていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の再生装置。
- 前記領域(AS、FS及びUS)内のセクタ(S)が、前記バッファに書き込まれた際の一時的な順序に対応した順序で互いに連鎖していることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の再生装置。
- いずれの場合にも、前記連鎖におけるそれぞれの領域(AS、FS、US)の前に位置していて、その前の領域(AS、FS、US)の最後のセクタ(S)である前記セクタ(S)又は位置ホルダ(PH)が、前記変数(la、lf及びlu)の1つを有する前記領域(AS、FS及びUS)の1つへの所定のエントリポイントとして与えられていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の再生装置。
- 所定数のセクタ(S)又は位置ホルダ(PH)の後に位置付けられているセクタ(S)が、いずれの場合にも、それぞれの前記領域(AS、FS、US)内のセクタ(S)の順序に従って、前記変数(la、lf、lu)の1つを有する前記領域(AS、FS及びUS)の1つへの所定のエントリポイントとして与えられていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の再生装置。
