Abstract
Description
(a)前記対象を分離チャネル内に配置するステップと、
(b)前記チャネルを回転させて、前記対象にかかる遠心力を発生させるステップと、
(c)前記チャネルに沿って変化する電界を発生させるステップと、
(d)前記遠心力および前記電界の組み合わさった影響下で、前記対象を前記チャネルに沿って移動させて分離するステップとを含む方法が提供される。
(a)径方向に延びるブレードと、
(b)使用中にブレードに沿って変化する電界を形成する電界形成手段とを含むスペクトロメータのロータであって、
軸の周りに回転したときに、遠心力および電界の組み合わさった影響下でブレード内の対象が移動して分離される、スペクトロメータのロータが提供される。
Claims (25)
- 複数の対象を分離する方法であって、
(a)前記対象を分離チャネル内に配置するステップと、
(b)前記チャネルを回転させて、前記対象にかかる遠心力を発生させるステップと、
(c)前記チャネルに沿って変化する電界を発生させるステップと、
(d)前記遠心力および前記電界の組み合わさった影響下で、前記対象を前記チャネルに沿って移動させて分離するステップとを含む方法。 - 前記対象が生体分子である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記対象がタンパク質である、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記対象がDNA断片またはRNA断片である、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記対象が生物細胞である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記対象が気体分子または蒸気分子である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記対象が、遠心力がそれに対抗する電界による力と等しくなるそれぞれの平衡点まで移動する、前記請求項のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記チャネルが回転する角速度を変化させることによって前記対象の移動を制御するステップを含む、前記請求項のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記チャネルの第1の端部および第2の端部にそれぞれ印加される第1の電圧および第2の電圧を制御することによって前記対象の移動を制御するステップを含む、前記請求項のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- さらなる調査のために対象を収集することができる収集点まで関心のある対象を移動させるために前記対象の移動を制御する、請求項8または9に記載の方法。
- (a)径方向に延びるブレードと、
(b)使用中にブレードに沿って変化する電界を形成する電界形成手段とを含むスペクトロメータのロータであって、
軸の周りに回転したときに、遠心力および電界の組み合わさった影響下でブレード内の対象が移動して分離される、スペクトロメータのロータ。 - 前記電界形成手段が、前記ブレードの第1の端部に第1の電圧を印加する第1の電極と、前記ブレードの径方向に離間した第2の端部に第2の電圧を印加する第2の電極とを含む、請求項11に記載のスペクトロメータのロータ。
- 前記ブレードの側壁が、該ブレードの長手方向に沿って変化する抵抗を有する、請求項12に記載のスペクトロメータのロータ。
- 前記ブレードの幅が、その長手方向に沿って変化する、請求項12に記載のスペクトロメータのロータ。
- 前記ブレードが、平行な側面を有する分離チャネルと、可変幅緩衝剤領域とを含み、前記分離チャネルが使用中に分離対象を受けるように配置される、請求項14に記載のスペクトロメータのロータ。
- 前記ブレードが、ディスク状ロータ本体のキャビティによって画定される、請求項11から15のいずれか一項に記載のスペクトロメータのロータ。
- 選択した分離済み対象をそこから収集することができる収集点をブレード上に含む、請求項11から16のいずれか一項に記載のスペクトロメータのロータ。
- 前記電界形成手段が、ブレード内に成形された電極を含むことを含む、請求項11に記載のスペクトロメータのロータ。
- 前記ブレードが、液体または気体の緩衝剤内で分離する対象を受けるように配置される、請求項11から18のいずれか一項に記載のスペクトロメータのロータ。
- 前記ブレードが真空キャビティを画定する、請求項11から18のいずれか一項に記載のスペクトロメータのロータ。
- モータと、ロータの角速度を制御するモータ制御装置とを組み合わせた、請求項11から20のいずれか一項に記載のスペクトロメータのロータを含むスペクトロメータ。
- 電界を生成して制御する手段を含む、請求項21に記載のスペクトロメータ。
- ロータの角速度および電界の両方を同時に制御するコントローラを含む、請求項22に記載のスペクトロメータ。
- 第1および第2の電極の両方にユーザが規定した電圧を印加する手段を含む、請求項12に従属する請求項22に記載のスペクトロメータ。
- 第1および第2の電圧とロータの角速度とを同時に制御するコントローラを含む、請求項24に記載のスペクトロメータ。
