Claims (7)
- 有孔被加工物に1つまたは複数の有孔部材を締結する方法であって、前記部材または各部材の開口部は、前記被加工物の開口部と位置合わせされ、該方法は、
前記位置合わせされた開口部に締結具を挿入するステップであって、前記締結具は、延性材料からなり、頭部、軸部、および該軸部を通って前記頭部に延びている軸孔を有し、前記軸部は、円周方向全体に雄ねじ山が切られ、前記締結具は、前記頭部が前記1つの部材の面と係合するように挿入され、前記軸部は、前記1つの部材または前記複数の部材内を通って前記被加工物内に延び、前記ねじ山の少なくとも一部は、前記被加工物内にある、締結具を挿入するステップと、
前記頭部で前記締結具を支持するとともに、尾部から前記頭部の方向に、前記孔を拡張することが可能なテーパ状に拡大したマンドレルヘッドを前記孔内に引き入れ、かつ前記孔から完全に引き抜くステップと、
それにより、前記孔の長さにわたって均一に前記孔を拡大させ、かつ、前記雄ねじ山を嵌め込んで前記被加工物内に陥入するのに十分なだけ前記軸部を半径方向に拡張するように変形させ、および前記締結具の前記軸部の長さを軸方向に短縮するように変形させるステップと
を含む、有孔被加工物に1つまたは複数の有孔部材を締結する方法。 - 前記締結具の前記軸部の前記雄ねじ山の一部分が前記被加工物内に陥入した後、長さが軸方向に短縮するように変形する、請求項1に記載の締結する方法。
- 前記ねじ山部分が前記被加工物と係合した後、前記締結具の前記頭部の1つまたは複数の半径方向外側部分を前記軸部の前記尾部の方向に移動させるように、前記締結具の前記頭部を変形させ、それによって、前記締結具の前記頭部と前記被加工物の間で前記部材の他の部材をしっかり締着することを含む、請求項1に記載の締結する方法。
- 前記締結具を拡張するとともに、前記孔の断面形状をその最初の形状から複数のレンチ面を呈する多角形キーイング形状に変え、それによって、キーイング係合及び、拡張後に、適したレンチ工具により前記締結具を回転させることを可能にすることを含む、請求項1に記載の締結する方法。
- 前記多角形キーイング形状は正六角形状である、請求項2に記載の締結する方法。
- 前記締結具の前記軸部の前記半径方向の拡張は、前記軸部のねじ山の前記被加工物への食い込みの程度が前記ねじ山の全高の半分以下であるようにする、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の締結する方法。
- 請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の方法により達成される締結。
