Claims (4)

  1. a)負のゼータ電位を有する金属酸化物から成るタイプI、または正のゼータ電位を有する金属酸化物から成るタイプIIから選択される金属酸化物の水性分散液中に炭素繊維構造物を浸漬するステップと、
    b)前記分散液を対向電極に接触させるステップと、
    c)前記炭素繊維構造物と前記対向電極との間に電流を印加することによって、前記炭素繊維構造物上に前記金属酸化物を電気泳動的に付着させるステップとを含み、
    前記金属酸化物がタイプIから選択される場合、前記炭素繊維構造物が陽極であり、かつ前記金属酸化物がタイプIIから選択される場合、前記炭素繊維構造物が陰極である、親水性炭素繊維構造物を製造する方法。
  2. 前記金属酸化物がタイプIから選択され、前記炭素繊維構造物が陽極である、請求項1に記載の方法。
  3. 前記金属酸化物がタイプIIから選択され、前記炭素繊維構造物が陰極である、請求項1に記載の方法。
  4. 親水性炭素繊維構造物であって、該構造物40mgあたり水200mgを60秒以内にウイッキングできる、親水性炭素繊維構造物。
