Abstract
【解決手段】 誘電体基板上の厚さ50〜200nmの金属膜に複数の微細孔が形成された構造のデバイスの表面に対象となる物質を吸着させてラマン分光を行う。微細孔の孔径と周期は、照射光の波長に応じて、光閉じ込め効果が得られるように定める。光をデバイス内に閉じ込めることにより、照射された光が最大限に利用され、周辺に生じる電場の強度を最大にすることができ、この電場により、ラマン散乱光を大幅に増強することができる。

Claims (4)
- 物質に波長λの光を照射して得られる散乱光を分光してスペクトルを得、前記波長λと異なる波長の光を検出するラマン分光装置であって、
誘電体基板と該誘電体基板上に形成された厚さ50〜200nmの金属膜からなり、該金属膜に下記条件式を満たす複数の微細孔が形成された構造のラマン分光用デバイスと、
ε1は金属膜の誘電率、ε2は金属膜表面の周囲にある媒体の誘電率)
前記ラマン分光用デバイスの前記微細孔が形成された面に対し光を照射する光照射手段と、
前記光照射手段により照射された光の前記面における散乱光を分光することにより前記散乱光のスペクトルを得る分光手段と
を備えたことを特徴とするラマン分光装置。
