Abstract
【解決手段】自励発振式インバータ2の昇圧トランスTの2次巻線W2は中点が接地されており、2次巻線W2の両端の端子OT1,OT2から極性の異なる高周波電圧が出力される。直列に接続された2つのU字型の冷陰極管L1,L2が液晶パネルの直下に設けられており、その一端はバラストコンデンサC1を介して端子OT1に接続され、他端はバラストコンデンサC2を介して端子OT2に接続されている。2つのU字型の冷陰極管L1,L2の接続点Pは接地されていないので、冷陰極管L1,L2を流れる電流は等しい。

Description
2の他端が接地されているので、バラストコンデンサC1,C2の容量値またはインバータ2の特性にばらつきがある場合には、各冷陰極管L1,L2を流れる電流は互いに異なり、各冷陰極管L1,L2からの光の強さがばらつく。このため、液晶パネルを同じ明るさで照明できず、液晶パネルの画面の輝度が均一にならないという問題がある。尚、上記の各冷陰極管L1,L2からの光の強さがばらつくことの影響は、冷陰極管L1,L2からの光の強さと液晶パネルを通過する光量との相関がサイドライト方式よりも強い直下ライト方式(液晶パネルの背面に拡散板を設け、拡散板の背面に冷陰極管を配置する方式)で顕著である。

Claims (2)
- 液晶テレビの液晶パネルを背面から照明するバックライト装置であって、中点が接地された昇圧トランスの2次巻線の両端に極性の異なる高周波電圧を発生させる自励発振式インバータで2つの冷陰極管を駆動する液晶テレビ用バックライト装置において、
前記液晶パネルの背面全体に設けられた拡散板と、前記拡散板の背面に設けられ、直列に接続された2つのU字型の冷陰極管とを備え、
前記直列に接続された2つのU字型の冷陰極管は前記2次巻線の両端の間にバラストコンデンサを介することなく接続されており、前記2つのU字型の冷陰極管の接続点は接地されていないことを特徴とする液晶テレビ用バックライト装置。 - 液晶テレビの液晶パネルを背面から照明するバックライト装置であって、中点が接地された昇圧トランスの2次巻線の両端に極性の異なる高周波電圧を発生させる自励発振式インバータで2つの冷陰極管を駆動する液晶テレビ用バックライト装置において、
前記液晶パネルの背面全体に設けられた拡散板と、前記拡散板の背面に設けられ、直列に接続された2つのU字型の冷陰極管とを備え、
前記直列に接続された2つのU字型の冷陰極管は前記2次巻線の両端の間にそれぞれバラストコンデンサを介して接続されており、前記2つのU字型の冷陰極管の接続点は接地されていないことを特徴とする液晶テレビ用バックライト装置。
