Abstract

【課題】レーザー照射により広い面、特に樹脂条を格子状に溶接する装置を提供する。
【解決手段】平面状の樹脂材料を接合する装置であって、レーザー光線の案内機構を収納する操作ヘッド及び加圧下で結合する材料層にレーザー光線を伝達する機構を備え、操作ヘッド1に集光機構7,8を備え、レーザー光線に対して透明な回転ローラ10にて、材料層を押圧する。また、複数の操作ヘッドにより装置を構成し、生産性を上げるようにした。

Description

本発明はレーザー照射により面状の樹脂材料を接合する装置に関するもので、上層のレーザーに面している材料はレーザー光線に対して透明であり、加圧することによってレーザー光線を吸収する下層と接合し、該装置はレーザー光線案内機構を収納する操作ヘッド及び加圧下において結合すべき下層にレーザー光線を伝達する機構を有している。
レーザー光線による樹脂素材の溶接は一般に知られており、レーザー照射溶接と呼ばれている。レーザー照射により材料を良好に接合するには、エネルギーの投与ばかりでなく、接合すべき二つの接合面が物理的に適切に接触することが重要な必須条件であるので、樹脂溶接法においては、溶接中に材料が互いに拘束されることが重要である。その理由は、レーザー光線に対して透明な材料は、レーザー光線を吸収する材料と熱接触することにより加熱されるからである。従って、二つの接合すべき材料間の空隙の大きさが主として熱伝導性を決定するので、溶接の質は物理的な締め付け条件に大きく依存する。
広域の加工においては、材料の寸法許容度及び屈曲の点から全体を完全に締め付けることは、技術的に極めて難しい。
本発明の目的は、レーザー照射と同時に溶接すべき位置に選択的に圧力を及ぼす装置を提案することであり、しかも本発明により広域の溶接が可能となる。
本発明の目的は、レーザー照射法に基づいた平面状樹脂材料を接合する装置によって達せられる、そこではレーザー源に面する上部の材料層はレーザー光線に対して透明であり、下部の材料層はレーザー光線を吸収するようになっており、互いに接している面が溶融し、その後の冷却時に加圧することで互いに接合する。本発明による装置はレーザー光線案内機構を収納する操作ヘッド及び加圧下の結合すべき材料層にレーザー光線を伝達する機構を有している。該操作ヘッドは集光機構を備え、材料層に面する出口端にはレーザー光線に対して透明な回転ローラを備えている。好ましくは、レンズ方式の焦点機構は、焦点面を集光する際、透明ローラと共動する。操作ヘッドは接合時に材料層を押圧するための加圧機構を有している。
本発明による装置は操作ヘッドに集光機構及び材料に面する出口端にレーザー光線に対して透明な回転ローラを有している。ローラの幅は接合すべき継ぎ目に依存し、互いに接する複数の操作ヘッドを有する装置では平行な接合すべき継ぎ目間の距離に依存する。このためにより大きな距離を必要とするが、球を用いても良い。接合すべき材料間に焦点面を設定する際、集光機構好ましくは、統合レンズ方式は透明なローラと相互に作用する。更に、操作ヘッドは溶接工程中に加工部材同士を押圧する加圧機構を有している。加圧機構はバネあるいは、例えば空気圧素子でもよく、材料の厚みの差を補うように作用する。
更に、ローラを装着するために操作ヘッドに空気を注入する通気路を設けてもよい。これにより操作ヘッドのローラが確実に回転するようになる。
多数の平行な加工ラインを形成するため、互いに隣接する多数の操作ヘッドを備えた構成とすることができる。構成上ライン間に生じた間隔に第二の操作ヘッド列を備えることが可能である。ガラス製の薄い透明なローラ(ディスク)を使うことが好ましい。しかし、基本的には、代わりにガラス球を使うことも可能であるが、溶接線あるいは継ぎ目の間隔は透明ローラを用いる場合よりも大きくなる。ローラあるいはディスクはガラス製が好ましい。例えば、操作ヘッドは上から見てV字状に互い違いに配置することもできる。
本発明によれば、操作ヘッドの間で、操作ヘッドの下にある上部の材料層の間に入り込むようにスペーサを備えてもよい。このスペーサは、材料を供給する際に、例えば互いに溶接される条の間隔を保ち、きれいな直線に溶接することができる。
装置の占める空間を小さくするため、集光機構を用いず操作ヘッドを光ファイバーに結合してもよい。その結果による焦点は最大溶接速度を制限する。この短所は操作ヘッドの数を増して、生産効率を上げることで補うことができる。
更に、溶接域を余熱するため、操作ヘッドの前面に直に線形レーザーダイオードを配置してもよく、このダイオードは移動方向に沿って線状の光線を形成する。
個々の操作ヘッドを一体に組み立て、移動方向に沿って前後に移動させる。個々の操作ヘッドを均等にするため、空気圧により垂直方向に動かす。樹脂条を溶接する際には、大きな可動板上に条を格子上に準備し、操作ヘッドの操作域に条を一つずつ送り込み、溶接する。可動板の代わりに回転シリンダーを用いてもよく、操作域及び操作ヘッド領域が実質的に平面でとなる程度の大きな径の回転シリンダーを選ぶ必要がある。一体に組み立てた多数の操作ヘッドはシリンダーに対して前後に動く。シリンダーを回転することによって樹脂材料を溶接域へ導入する。
基本的には、熱接触の質を高めるために、広域面を有する溶接すべき構成部材の面及びシリンダーを加熱して、溶接前の樹脂条を予熱するようにしてもよい。
このような装置により、大掛かりな締め付け機構を用いなくても樹の条で形成される広い面状の格子構造を生成することができる。本発明の装置により100%の品質が保証され、多数の操作ヘッドにより高い生産性を達成できる。このような格子構造は例えば、細かな篩として用いることもできる。
以下、図面を用いて本発明の実施例を説明する。
図1A及び1Bには、空気圧ピストン/シリンダー装置6によって垂直方向に移動可能な(不図示の)枠に装着した収納箱2を有する操作ヘッド1を示している。収納箱2の孔4内の光ファイバー5を介して空洞3にレーザー光線が導かれる。光ファイバー5に連結して空洞3にレンズ7が備えられており、レーザー光線11を形成するように構成している。空洞3に続いて、円板状のガラス製ローラ10を収納する第二の空洞9があり、レーザー光線11はこのローラを通って所望の面に焦点を結ぶようになっている。円板状のガラス製ローラ10を設置するため、収納箱には圧縮空気を導入する通気路12が形成されている。
図1Bから、操作ヘッドの幅は光学素子(7,8)及び円板状ガラス製ローラの最大幅により決まることが分かる。これは条を溶接する際に、操作ヘッドを出来るだけ薄くすることがその主な目的である。
図2は組み立てた操作ヘッド1の斜視図であり、操作ヘッド1を出来るだけ薄くするため、ピストン/シリンダー機構6を直接、収納箱の主軸に取り付けている。
図3は溶接すべき樹脂条13及び14を下に配置した操作ヘッドが3つの例を示しており、本発明の方法に基づき、上部の樹脂条13はレーザー光線11に対し透明で、下部の樹脂条14はレーザー光線を吸収する材料とした。
図4には相互に連結した操作ヘッド1の間に配置したスペーサ15を示し、上部の透明樹脂条13が所定の間隔を保って直線状に配列されるようになっている。
図5は樹脂条13に沿って移動する広い面に用いる互いに連結した複数の操作ヘッドを示し、溶接が終わると矢印に示すように、次の樹脂条13の列に設置される。例えば案内棒16により、樹脂条13方向に沿って操作ヘッドを案内することができる。

Claims (5)

  1. レーザー源に面する上部の材料層はレーザー光線に対して透明な材料で構成し、下部の材料層はレーザー光線を吸収する材料で構成することにより、互いに隣接する二つの材料層の接触面が溶融し、それに続く冷却時に加圧下において互い接合するように構成したレーザー照射による平面状樹脂材料を接合する装置であって、
    該装置はレーザー光線の案内機構を収納する操作ヘッド及び加圧下で結合する材料層にレーザー光線を伝達する伝達機構を備え、
    前記操作ヘッド(1)に集光機構(7,8)を備え、且つレーザー光線に対して透明な回転ローラ(10)を材料層(13,14)に面する出口端に備え、
    焦点面の設定時に前記集光機構(7,8)、特に統合レンズ系が前記透明回転ローラ(10)と相互に作用し、且つ接合時に前記ヘッド(1)が材料層を押圧するように押圧機構(6)を備えたことを特徴とする平面状樹脂材料接合装置。
  2. 前記操作ヘッド(1)に前記ローラ(10)を取付けのための通気路(12)を設けたことを特徴とする請求項1記載の平面状樹脂材料接合装置。
  3. 前記操作ヘッド(1)が複数個互いに接して配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1記載の平面状樹脂材料接合装置。
  4. 前記操作ヘッド(1)間で且つ各操作ヘッド(1)の下に位置する上部の材料層(13)の間にスペーサ(15)を配置したことを特徴とする請求項3記載の平面状樹脂材料接合装置。
  5. 前記操作ヘッド(1)が狭い伸張した収納箱(2)を有し、該収納箱の側壁にピストン/シリンダー機構(6)を配置していることを特徴とする請求項1記載の平面状樹脂材料接合装置。
