Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a magnetic polishing method for performing magnetic polishing on a workpiece and a magnetic polishing apparatus using the same.
The magnetic polishing method is a method in which abrasive grains for magnetic polishing, which are composed of abrasive grains with magnetic properties and magnetic powder particles with magnetic properties, are subjected to various types of precision polishing using a processing fluid suspended in a solvent. Is what you do. Specifically, the magnetic polishing abrasive grains are processed while the magnetic polishing abrasive grains are attracted by a magnetized magnetic polishing tool (polishing head, hereinafter simply referred to as a tool in this specification). A polishing method in which a processed surface of a workpiece is polished by contacting the processed surface of the workpiece.
That is, when a magnetic field is generated in the tool, the workpiece is polished by causing a machining liquid (abrasive) having abrasive grains for magnetic polishing to be present between the workpiece and the workpiece disposed so as to face and separate from the tool. doing. When machining, the magnetic powder of the magnetic polishing abrasive grains constituting the machining liquid is restrained to some extent by the magnetic field generated by the tool, so the tool and the workpiece are relatively moved (for example, one of them is rotated) ), The abrasive grains present around the magnetic powder come into sliding contact with the workpiece, and the workpiece can be polished.
According to such a magnetic polishing method, it is possible to make the polishing surface of the workpiece smoother as compared with the mechanical processing in which the tool is directly brought into contact with the workpiece to perform polishing. In addition, since it is not necessary to bring the tool and work piece into direct contact with each other, polishing of complicated curved surfaces, which has been difficult to process in the past, and polishing of the side surfaces of narrow holes and narrow grooves that do not fit in the tool, etc. Is possible.
FIG. 12 is a longitudinal sectional view showing an example of a conventional magnetic polishing apparatus. When polishing the processed
In addition, when polishing with a magnetic polishing apparatus, a slurry-like processing liquid (polishing liquid) is constantly or intermittently supplied from a nozzle to a ferromagnetic material particle sucked by a polishing head. Is disclosed. (For example, see Patent Document 2)
Regarding the supply of the machining fluid (magnetic abrasive grains) by the nozzle, the local position of the tool is magnetized during ultrasonic machining, the machining solvent is pumped up by a pump, etc., and the machining fluid is supplied to the machining gap by the nozzle. Techniques to do this are disclosed. (For example, see Patent Document 3)
Moreover, about supply of a processing liquid (abrasive), the method of supplying the processing liquid (abrasive) which mixed diamond powder with oil from the through-hole which penetrates the inside of a tool is disclosed. (For example, see Patent Document 4)
Also disclosed is a technique for supplying a machining liquid (polishing liquid) from a polishing liquid supply apparatus and supplying a granular magnetic material from a magnetic material supply apparatus. (For example, see Patent Document 5)
Further, in the electromagnetic polishing apparatus, the liquid non-magnetic abrasive, the magnetic piece and the object to be polished are immersed, an alternating magnetic field is generated, and the non-magnetic abrasive and the object to be polished are generated by the flow accompanying the movement of the magnetic piece. A method is disclosed in which polishing is performed by relatively moving the surfaces. (For example, see Patent Document 6)
However, when the workpiece is processed using the above-described magnetic polishing apparatus, as shown in the graph of FIG. 13, polishing is performed without newly supplying a processing liquid as an abrasive after starting polishing. In this case, the polishing amount of the workpiece increases up to about 10 min (min) from the start of polishing, but the polishing amount hardly increases thereafter.
As shown in FIG. 14A, the
In addition, when a slurry-like processing liquid (abrasive) is supplied from a nozzle during polishing with a magnetic polishing apparatus, the processing liquid is supplied from an obliquely upward direction with respect to the tool. There is a possibility that the machining fluid is supplied unevenly. If the polishing process is performed in a state where the processing liquid is supplied unevenly, the polishing efficiency at the time of processing may be uneven. In addition to this, in the case of injecting the processing liquid by the nozzle, the processing liquid scatters on the surface of the workpiece, and a lot of magnetic material may be discharged without being used for polishing, which is disadvantageous in terms of cost.
In addition, when supplying the machining fluid from the inside of the tool, it is difficult to reduce the size of the tool in order to secure the space of the through hole, and the structure may be complicated and clogging may occur. is there. Also, instead of polishing on the bottom surface of the tool perpendicular to the rotation axis of the tool, depending on the application, magnetic polishing may be performed using the side surface of the rotation axis of the tool. It is difficult to supply the machining fluid in a state of being evenly distributed.
Further, when the abrasive and the magnetic material are supplied separately, the structure of the magnetic polishing apparatus becomes complicated. Therefore, it is not preferable as an apparatus.
Also, the liquid nonmagnetic abrasive, the magnetic piece and the work piece are immersed, an alternating magnetic field is generated, and the nonmagnetic abrasive and work piece are moved relative to each other by the flow accompanying the movement of the magnetic piece. In the polishing method, a small piece of magnetic material having a large specific gravity is deposited on the bottom of the container, so there is a risk that the work piece may be unevenly polished only near the bottom of the container, and a uniform polishing process cannot be expected. .
The present invention has been made based on these circumstances, and provides a magnetic polishing method capable of performing high-precision polishing with high polishing efficiency on a workpiece and a magnetic polishing apparatus using the same.
FIG. 1 is a schematic explanatory view for explaining the configuration of a magnetic polishing method of [Embodiment 1] of the present invention and a magnetic polishing apparatus using the same. A magnetic polishing tool 1 (hereinafter also simply referred to as a tool in each embodiment) is movable in the XYZθ directions as indicated by arrows A to D, and is fixed to a
A table 7 on which the workpiece W is placed is disposed at a predetermined position facing the tip of the
The processing
As shown in FIG. 2, the
The machining
Next, the operation of the magnetic polishing apparatus having these configurations will be described with reference to the flowchart of FIG. The magnetic polishing apparatus sequentially operates according to a program predetermined in a control unit (not shown).

As shown by an arrow C, the
Steps S0 to S6 are repeated until the end of polishing is determined.
As described above, the
FIG. 4 is a schematic explanatory view illustrating the configuration of the magnetic polishing method and the magnetic polishing apparatus according to [Embodiment 2] of the present invention. Since this [Embodiment 2] is a modification of [Embodiment 1], the same functional parts as those in FIG. Description is omitted.
In [Embodiment 1], the
As shown in the circuit diagram of FIG. 5 as an example of the configuration of the magnetizing /
That is, at the time of magnetization, the
Therefore, in the case of the magnetizing operation, a large current in one direction flows through the magnetizing
In the case of the demagnetization operation, an alternating decay current that decays with time flows through the magnetizing
Therefore, both the magnetization operation and the demagnetization operation can be switched and executed by switching the switch operation of the
Next, the operation of the magnetic polishing apparatus having these configurations will be described with reference to the flowchart of FIG. The magnetic polishing apparatus operates according to a program predetermined in a control unit (not shown) of the magnetic polishing apparatus.

FIG. 7 is a schematic explanatory view illustrating the configuration of the magnetic polishing method and the magnetic polishing apparatus according to [Embodiment 3] of the present invention. Since this [Embodiment 3] is a modified example of [Embodiment 1], the same functional parts as those in FIG. Description is omitted.
[Embodiment 1] uses one
Further, the
When machining for a predetermined time by one
As described above, the
FIG. 8 is a schematic explanatory view illustrating the configuration of the magnetic polishing method and the magnetic polishing apparatus according to [Embodiment 4] of the present invention.
This example is a modification of [Example 3] using two
Therefore, the basic configuration and operation are obtained by adding [Example 2] to [Example 3]. That is, unlike [Embodiment 3], each
Also in this embodiment, the
FIG. 9 is an explanatory diagram of the processing liquid amount control means 31 of [Embodiment 5] provided above the processing
That is, as shown in FIG. 9, a machining fluid amount control means 31 that can be moved forward and backward in the ascending movement path of the
The machining fluid amount control means 31 is composed of two
Regarding the formation of the
Therefore, the magnetic polishing apparatus using the processing liquid amount control means 31 according to this embodiment can perform highly accurate and efficient polishing.
The machining fluid amount control means of the [Embodiment 6] does not mechanically regulate the amount of the
That is, in the case of [Example 1] and [Example 3], since the magnetizing means of the
Note that, as the control amount for controlling the current, data accumulated in advance is used in accordance with the part to be processed of the workpiece W.
The magnetic polishing apparatus using the machining fluid amount control means according to this embodiment can perform highly accurate and efficient polishing.
