Test Example A glass container having a diameter of 20 cm and a height of 60 cm is put on a circular container having an inner diameter of 12.5 cm and a height of 7 cm containing five German cockroaches, and a test aerosol is formed from the upper side of the glass cylinder. It sprayed so that a physical quantity might be set to 1.0g. Immediately after spraying, the glass cylinder was covered with an upper lid, and after 30 seconds, the upper lid was removed, and the circular container was taken out of the glass cylinder. Thereafter, the test insects in the circular container were observed, and the time until the test insects were knocked down was measured. From this result, KT 50 and KT 90 values (time required for 50% and 90% of the insects to be knocked down) were determined. Further, the tested cockroaches were bred for 3 days while giving water and food. Thereafter, the life and death of the test insects were observed to determine the death rate.
The results are shown in Table 1. (Each test is performed 2-3 times, and the results are shown as average values.)
