Description

The present invention relates to an impact-absorbing pad mounting structure for an automobile, and more particularly, to a structure that can be mounted with stability while ensuring the impact-absorbing function of the pad.

Recently, in order to enhance the protection of passengers at the time of a side collision when a vehicle collides from the side of an automobile, a technique of providing an impact bar in a side door and an impact absorbing pad such as a synthetic resin foam is being adopted. The shock absorbing pad is usually disposed at a height position corresponding to the occupant's waist. If this pad is not provided, the outer panel collapses during a severe side impact and reaches the inner panel via the parts installed in the door, and the inner panel collides with a passenger in the vehicle compartment via the door trim at the next moment. Therefore, the impact force on the occupant acts with a delay.
On the other hand, in the case of providing a pad, the pad pressed by the outer panel at the time of a side collision is an opening opened in the inner panel, and the door trim as described above. The occupant is pressed at an early stage before coming into contact with the inner panel. That is, the collision load is transmitted to the occupant at an early stage, and the impact load is sufficiently absorbed by the pad, so that the impact force acting on the occupant is remarkably reduced.

Therefore, the mounting structure for mounting the shock absorbing pad must have a stable support function that prevents the pad from falling off due to body vibration and the like, and a function that allows the pad to move relative to the panel member of the side door during a side collision. It is. That is, as described above, it is necessary to move the pad to the vehicle compartment side relative to the door panel member, particularly the inner panel, in order to sufficiently exert the shock absorbing function by the pad.
For example, Japanese Utility Model Laid-Open No. 4-076558 discloses a vehicle door structure in which a pad is attached to an inner panel, and an auxiliary pad is attached to an outer panel outside the pad.

In the conventional pad mounting structure and the pad mounting structure disclosed in the above publication, if the pad is enlarged to increase the shock absorption performance, the pad weight also increases, and the pad does not fall off due to vibration during running. Since the attachment strength of the pad to the inner panel needs to be increased, there is a problem that the structure of the attachment portion for attaching the pad to the inner panel becomes complicated. Further, when the mounting strength of the pad is increased, there is a concern that the pad does not easily move relative to the panel at the time of a side collision, and the desired shock absorbing performance cannot be ensured.
The object of the present invention is to reduce the size of the pad and maintain the shock absorbing performance, simplify the structure of the mounting portion to increase the mounting strength to the inner panel, and secure the second shock absorbing pad to the inner panel by the mounting portion. It is to be able to support and attach to.

The shock absorbing pad mounting structure for a vehicle according to claim 1 is a structure for mounting a shock absorbing pad provided inside a side door of a vehicle having an outer panel, an inner panel, and a door trim.
The inner panel has an opening hole, is located on the vehicle interior side of the first shock absorbing pad and the first shock absorbing pad supported by the impact bar provided in the side door along the inner surface of the outer panel, A second shock absorbing pad attached to the inner panel, and a third shock absorbing pad fixed to the door trim so as to be positioned outside the door trim on the inner side of the second shock absorbing pad. The absorbing pad, the second shock absorbing pad and the third shock absorbing pad are provided at a height corresponding to the opening hole of the inner panel. Thus, by providing the first shock absorbing pad to the third shock absorbing pad, even if each shock absorbing pad is made small, the overall shock absorbing property can be sufficiently increased. Moreover, the attachment part which attaches a 2nd shock absorption pad to an inner panel can be simplified, and a 2nd shock absorption pad can be reliably supported and attached to an inner panel by the attachment part.

According to a second aspect of the present invention, there is provided the shock absorbing pad mounting structure for an automobile according to the first aspect, wherein the mounting portion has the second shock absorbing pad disposed on the inner panel so that the second shock absorbing pad is located outside the inner panel. It is attached to.

According to a third aspect of the present invention, there is provided the shock absorbing pad mounting structure for an automobile according to the first aspect, wherein the second shock absorbing pad is inserted into the opening hole of the inner panel.

According to the first aspect of the present invention, since the first shock absorbing pad to the third shock absorbing pad are provided, even if each of the shock absorbing pads is made small, it is possible to sufficiently improve the shock absorbing property as a whole. 2 The mounting portion for attaching the shock absorbing pad to the inner panel can be simplified, and the mounting portion can securely support and attach the second shock absorbing pad to the inner panel.

According to the invention of claim 2, although the same effect as that of claim 1 is obtained, the second shock absorbing pad is attached so as to be positioned on the vehicle outer side of the inner panel, so that the shock absorption can be further improved.

According to the invention of claim 3, the same effect as that of claim 1 is obtained, but since the second shock absorbing pad is inserted into the opening hole of the inner panel so as to be inserted, the second shock absorbing pad is attached to the inner panel. Can be performed reliably.

Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings.
This embodiment is an example when the present invention is applied to a right side door on the front side of an automobile. Hereinafter, front and rear and right and left of the automobile will be described as front and rear and right and left. As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the door body of the right side door 1 on the front side of the automobile is composed of an outer panel 2, an inner panel 3, a door trim 4, and the like, and is lifted and lowered by a window regulator (not shown). A door glass 5 is also provided, and a shelf-like armrest portion 6 is formed on the inner surface of the side door 1.

Inside the side door 1, an impact bar 7 is arranged in the front-rear direction for increasing rigidity against a side collision in which an external vehicle collides with the side door 1, and both front and rear ends of the impact bar 7 are doors. It is fixed to the main body.
As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the side door 1 has an action on the lumbar region of the occupant during a side collision at a position corresponding to the lumbar region of the seated occupant and lower than the armrest unit 6. The first shock absorbing pad 10, the second shock absorbing pad 11, and the third shock absorbing pad 12 made of a synthetic resin foam for alleviating the shock that occurs are disposed in a state where the lifting space 14 of the door glass 5 is opened. The shock absorbing pad 13 is also provided (hereinafter, the shock absorbing pad is appropriately referred to as a pad member).

The first shock absorbing pad 10 is a block-like pad member 10 that is supported by the impact bar 7 along the inner surface of the outer panel 2 and is held by a holding member 10a, and the second shock absorbing pad 11 is a substantially outer surface side of the inner panel 3. The third shock absorbing pad 12 is a block-like pad member 12 fixed to the outer surface of the door trim 4 by bonding. is there.
A pad member 13 for reducing the impact acting on the side of the chest of the occupant during a side collision is provided between the inner panel 3 and the door trim 4 at a position in the front-rear direction corresponding to the seated occupant and above the armrest portion 6. And fixed to the outer surface of the door trim 4 by bonding.

Next, an attachment structure for attaching the pad member 11 to the inner panel 3 from the door trim 4 side will be described.
As shown in FIG. 3 to FIG. 6, the curved holding member 15 is disposed along the lower half of the peripheral edge portion 11a substantially orthogonal to the load receiving surface (outer surface and inner surface) of the pad member 11, The pad member 11 is attached to the inner panel 3 via the holding member 15. The holding member 15 is a member made of a thin steel plate in which the thickness direction is directed to the load acting direction at the time of a side collision, and attachment portions 16 and 17 for attaching to the inner panel 3 are provided at both ends of the holding member 15. The mounting portions 16 and 17 are fixed to the mounting seats 20 and 21 of the inner panel 3 by fasteners 18 and 19, respectively.

Of the holding member 15, the holding body portions 15 a other than the attachment portions 16 and 17 are formed in a narrow band shape so as to be deformed even by a small load at the time of a side collision, and the holding body portion 15 a forms the second pad member 11. At this time, it is provided in a state of being embedded in the peripheral edge portion 11a of the pad member 11 by insert molding, and the holding body portion 15a and the pad member 11 are coupled with a sufficient coupling force. As shown in FIG. 6, the mounting seat 20 for the mounting portion 16 protrudes further toward the vehicle compartment side than the mounting seat 21 for the mounting portion 17, so that it is in the middle of the holding body portion 15 a of the holding member 15. Is formed with a stepped portion 22 for stepping down.

The operation of the shock absorbing pad mounting structure described above will be described.
The holding member portion 15 a of the holding member 15 is configured to support the lower half peripheral portion 11 a of the pad member 11, and the holding member portion 15 a is embedded in the peripheral edge portion 11 a of the pad member 11 and firmly bonded. Therefore, the pad member 11 can be stably supported by the holding member 15 having a small and simple structure.

Moreover, when the outer panel 2 is deformed to the vehicle compartment side at the time of a side collision and the side collision load is applied to the pad member 11 that is inserted into the opening of the pad member 10 and the inner panel 3, the holding body portion 15a of the holding member 15 Due to the deformation of the pad member 11 and the peripheral edge portion 11a of the pad member 11 being broken, the pad member 11 is immediately moved to the vehicle compartment side, and at an early stage after the side collision earlier than the inner panel 3 is moved to the vehicle compartment side. Since the shock force buffered from the pad member 10, the pad member 11, and the pad member 12 acts on the occupant and presses the occupant toward the vehicle interior side, the shock absorbing performance can be sufficiently enhanced. Moreover, since the holding member 15 is made of a thin steel plate and is an integrated part that is continuous from the attachment part 16 to the attachment part 17, the number of parts is minimal and the light-weight part has a simple structure. This is also advantageous in terms of cost.

Another Embodiment: See FIGS. 7 to 11 Next, a shock absorbing pad mounting structure according to another embodiment will be briefly described.
As shown in FIGS. 7 to 11, the lower half of the peripheral edge portion 30 a orthogonal to the load support surface (outer surface and inner surface) of the pad member 30 made of a synthetic resin foam instead of the pad member 11 is supported. A holding member 31 is provided, and the pad member 30 is fixed to the inner panel 3 via the holding member 31. The holding member 31 is a member made of a thin steel plate with the plate thickness direction directed to the load acting direction at the time of a side collision, and attachment portions 32 and 33 for attachment to the inner panel 3 are provided at both ends of the holding member 31. The mounting portions 32 and 33 are formed and fixed to the mounting seats 36 and 37 of the inner panel 3 by fasteners 34 and 35, respectively.

Of the holding member 31, the holding body portions 31 a other than the attachment portions 32 and 33 are formed in a narrow band shape so as to be deformed even with a small load at the time of a side collision, and the holding body portion 31 a is formed when the pad member 30 is molded. It is provided in a state of being embedded in the peripheral edge portion 30a of the pad member 30 by insert molding, and the holding body portion 31a and the pad member 30 are coupled with a sufficient coupling force. As shown in FIG. 11, the mounting seat 36 for the mounting portion 32 is positioned substantially on the same plane as the mounting seat 37 for the mounting portion 33, so the holding member 31 is straight in plan view. is there.

The operation of the shock absorbing pad mounting structure described above will be described.
The holding member portion 31a of the holding member 31 is configured to support the lower half peripheral portion 30a of the pad member 30, and the holding member portion 31a is embedded in the peripheral portion 30a of the pad member 30 and firmly coupled. Therefore, the pad member 30 can be supported with good stability.

In addition, as described in the above embodiment, when the outer panel 2 is deformed to the vehicle compartment side at the time of a side collision and a side collision load acts on the pad member 30, the deformation of the holding body portion 31a of the holding member 31 causes the deformation. Further, the pad member 30 moves to the vehicle compartment side due to the breakage of the peripheral edge portion 30a of the pad member 30, and the shock force buffered from the plurality of pad members including the pad member 30 is received at an early stage after the side collision. Since it acts on the occupant and presses the occupant toward the passenger compartment, the shock absorbing performance can be sufficiently enhanced. Since the holding member 31 is made of a thin steel plate and is an integrated part that is continuous from the attachment part 32 to the attachment part 33, the number of parts is minimal and the light-weight part has a simple structure. This is also advantageous.

Here, the modified example of the embodiment will be described. The shape and material of the pad members 11 and 30 are not limited to those of the embodiment, and may be anything that can absorb a side impact load. Further, the shape and structure of the holding members 15 and 31 are not limited to those of the above embodiment, and the holding members 15 and 31 may be configured to support the peripheral portions of the entire circumference of the pad members 11 and 30. Various modifications can be added to the embodiment without departing from the spirit of the present invention.
