Abstract
【解決手段】 一列構造のシャント装置に用いられる特有のプローブ案内構造を備えた針ガードまたは刺入ガードを提供する。このガードは、シャント装置のドーム層の内側に配置されるベース部材、及びそのベース部材に配置されたガイド壁を含む。ガイド壁は、上部壁、内側壁、及びその反対側の外側壁によって画定されている。内側壁は、貫通開口を備えた凹部を含む。内側壁は凹状にすることができ、凹部は、ガイド壁に押圧された器具を開口に案内する曲率を有する。シャント弁内にガードを備えたシャントシステムにおけるカテーテル修復を実施するための方法も提供する。また、脳室カテーテル内に頭蓋内圧センサを経皮的に配置して頭蓋内圧を決定する方法も提供する。

Description
(1)前記内側壁が凹状であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の刺入ガード。
(2)前記ガイド壁がC形であることを特徴とする実施態様(1)に記載の刺入ガード。
(3)前記凹部が楕円形のような形状であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の刺入ガード。
(4)前記凹部が、約30度〜約45度の範囲の曲率半径を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の刺入ガード。
(5)前記開口が丸い孔であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の刺入ガード。
(7)前記放射線不透過性マーカーが矢印のような形状であることを特徴とする実施態様(6)に記載の刺入ガード。
(8)前記放射線不透過性マーカーが前記ベース部材内に埋め込まれていることを特徴とする実施態様(6)に記載の刺入ガード。
(9)前記開口が、前記入口ポートに連通した流路まで延びていることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の装置。
(10)前記入口ポート及び前記出口ポートが、互いに対して180度の角度で延在することを特徴とする請求項2に記載の装置。
(12)前記内側壁が凹状であることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の装置。
(13)前記ガイド壁がC形であることを特徴とする実施態様(12)に記載の装置。
(14)前記凹部が楕円形のような形状であることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の装置。
(15)前記凹部が、約30度〜約45度の範囲の曲率半径を有することを特徴とする請求項2に記載の装置。
(17)更に、放射線不透過性マーカーを含むことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の装置。
(18)前記放射線不透過性マーカーが矢印のような形状であることを特徴とする実施態様(17)に記載の装置。
(19)前記放射線不透過性マーカーが前記ベース部材内に埋め込まれていることを特徴とする実施態様(17)に記載の装置。
(20)更に、前記脳室カテーテルから障害物を除去するステップを含むことを特徴とする請求項3に記載の方法。
(22)更に、前記脳室カテーテル内に頭蓋内センサを配置するステップを含むことを特徴とする請求項3に記載の方法。

Claims (3)
- ドーム型シリコーン層を備えたシャント弁に用いるための刺入ガードであって、
前記シャント弁の前記ドーム型シリコーン層の内側に取り付けできるように構成されたベース部材と、
前記ベース部材に配置されたガイド壁とを含み、
前記ガイド壁が、上部壁、内側壁、及びその反対側の外側壁によって画定されており、前記内側壁が凹部を有し、その凹部に貫通開口が形成されていることを特徴とする刺入ガード。 - 患者の体内に流体を排出するためのシャント装置であって、
前記シャント装置へ(から)の流体の流れを制御するための弁装置を内部に備えたハウジングと、
脳室カテーテルを受容するように構成された入口ポートと、
排出カテーテルを受容するように構成された出口ポートと、
前記入口ポートに連通したドーム層とを含み、
前記ドーム層が、ベース部材及びそのベース部材に配置されたガイド壁を有する刺入ガードを含み、前記ガイド壁が、上部壁、内側壁、及びその反対側の外側壁によって画定されており、前記内側壁が凹部を有し、その凹部に貫通開口が形成されていることを特徴とするシャント装置。 - 脳室カテーテルが閉塞したシャントシステムに対して経皮的カテーテル修復を実施するための方法であって、
前記シャントシステムが、前記シャント装置へ(から)の流体の流れを制御するための弁装置を内部に備えたハウジングと、脳室カテーテルに接続された入口ポートと、排出カテーテルに接続された出口ポートと、前記入口ポートに連通したドーム層とを含み、前記ドーム層が、ベース部材及びそのベース部材に配置されたガイド壁を有する刺入ガードを含み、前記ガイド壁が、上部壁、内側壁、及びその反対側の外側壁によって画定されており、前記内側壁が凹部を有し、その凹部に貫通開口が形成されており、
前記シャントシステムを用意するステップと、
前記ドーム層を外科的に露出させるステップと、
カテーテル針を前記ドーム層に刺入するステップと、
前記カテーテル針の中に可撓性内視鏡器具を通すステップと、
前記可撓性内視鏡器具の先端部を前記開口内に挿入するステップと、
前記可撓性内視鏡器具の前記先端部を前記脳室カテーテル内に送るステップとを含むことを特徴とする方法。
