TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
A visual inspection and sorting device that handles six surface mount components.
[0002]
[Prior art]
The present invention relates to a part of an apparatus capable of accurately and reliably inspecting the surface of a surface mount electric component such as an MLCC (multilayer ceramic capacitor). The apparatus comprises a housing part, a lower disk having a camera part and an upper disk, and a rotating assembly part capable of supplying compressed air and vacuum. The lighting device of the present invention is disposed around a V slot of a disk including a camera unit, an RGB frame support unit, a computer device mounted on each camera, and an optical fiber cable to be connected for lighting.
[0003]
The present invention is designed to accurately and reliably inspect the surface of surface mounted electrical components such as MLCCs (Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors). With the demand for faster, smaller computers, the computer industry is seeking smaller and more efficient electrical components. In addition, high-tech consumer electronics products tend to be smaller, thus requiring smaller electrical components.
[0004]
Recently, these electrical components, such as MLCCs, have been reduced to several tenths of a millimeter. Hundreds to thousands of parts are used in a typical computerized product. However, when the component dimensions are small, it is extremely difficult to inspect with human eyes and to select defective components from non-defective products.
[0005]
The most commonly used inspection equipment uses a rotating glass plate for positioning and inspecting components. As the glass sheet rotates, the parts are placed on the outer edge of the glass sheet. At this point, the inspection device takes a picture and analyzes the part for defects.
[0006]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
The chip component is composed of a body and electrodes whose two surfaces are made of different materials and surfaces. Thus, the visual inspection method is different for the two surface types. Due to the differences between the individual surfaces and the inspection requirements, two separate inspection devices are required, which increases the cost. Furthermore, because the part is illuminated from a single angled illumination source, the inspection device cannot efficiently detect all types of surface defects on the surface.
To solve these problems, the present invention is designed to illuminate the body and contact area of the component from one light source and maintain high inspection capability.
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The lighting device of the present invention is disposed around a V slot of a disk including a camera unit, an RGB frame support unit, a computer device mounted on each camera, and an optical fiber cable to be connected for lighting. The color camera used captures light reflected from the component surface.
Each camera is attached to a computer that digitally filters the red and blue light.
[0008]
A bracket for holding the light source is provided around the camera lens. This bracket has a slight angle of inclination and has holes at its center and side to hold the light emitting device.
[0009]
The apparatus comprises a housing part, a lower disk having a camera part and an upper disk, and a rotating assembly part capable of supplying compressed air and vacuum. The lighting device of the present invention is disposed around a V slot of a disk including a camera unit, an RGB frame support unit, a computer device mounted on each camera, and an optical fiber cable to be connected for lighting.
[0010]
In order to achieve the above object, the visual inspection device includes a housing portion on which two disks are rotatably mounted on a surface, a compressed air / vacuum supply device, and a camera portion. In addition, a component feeder is mounted on the device for reliable and continuous supply of components.
[0011]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
The disc consists of two circular flat plates placed together. The disk has a number of slots through which a vacuum is supplied. As many air holes as there are vacuum slots are provided through one side of the disk. The end of the disk is provided with a V slot for placing components. The air holes are located approximately 0.03 mm to 0.05 mm apart.
[0012]
The housing portion has a compressed air chamber and a vacuum chamber for supplying a vacuum to the air slot of the disk. See diagram. FIG. 1 is a side view of the visual inspection device, and FIG. 2 is a front view. A rotatable housing connected to the lower disk 14 and the upper disk 16 is fixed to the upper part of the base 2.
[0013]
A feeder is attached to the upper disk. Four cameras 18a, 18b, 18c, 18d are provided near the disk. Inside the housing part 4, a fixed part and a rotating axle 42 connected to a vacuum supply device and a compressed air supply device are provided. A solenoid sorting mechanism 20 is located below the lower disk. A guide block 50 for sorting the components sorted into the collection box is attached to the solenoid sorting mechanism.
[0014]
FIG. 3 is a schematic diagram of the lower disk 14 and the upper disk 16. The figure shows the connection point between the lower disk 14 and the upper disk 16 in detail. The disk has 50 vacuum slots 44 towards the center of the disk. The two plates forming the disc are kept airtight to prevent vacuum leakage. At the top of the two plates, there is a V-slot where six parts can be mounted.
[0015]
The disk is mounted on a rotating axle 42 mounted on the projection 6 of the housing part 42. The upper disk 14 rotates counterclockwise, and the lower disk 16 rotates clockwise. FIG. 3 is a simplified configuration diagram of a main plate.
[0016]
FIG. 4 is a schematic configuration diagram of an upper disk, a lower disk, and a housing part. The protrusion 6 of the housing part 4 is in contact with fifty air holes 62 arranged on the surface of the support plate of the disks 14 and 16. Hole 44 connects to a vacuum chamber located inside the disk connected to vacuum slot 62. As shown, the distance between each air hole is approximately 0.03 mm to 0.05 mm.
[0017]
FIG. 5 is a diagram of a compressed air / vacuum separation chamber inside the housing part. The compressed air / vacuum separation chamber 64 inside the housing part 4 is connected to a compressed air supply source via the air duct 42.
[0018]
As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the cameras 18 a, 18 b, 18 c, and 18 d are located around the disks 14 and 16. The parts supplied to the upper disk 16 are placed in V-slots, exposing two faces. The two cameras 18a, 18b take pictures of the two exposed surfaces. As the upper disk 16 rotates toward the bottom, its parts are transferred to the lower disk 16 and placed in the V-slots of the lower disk. As the disc rotates, the cameras 18c, 18d take pictures of the two exposed surfaces of the part.
[0019]
The part 1 is continuously supplied to the rotating disk via the feeder and is placed in the V-slot on average. The components are arranged in a part of the vacuum groove 46. Vacuum is supplied to a groove connected to the air duct 44 and a vacuum slot. Thus, the part is held in a vacuum and can rotate with the disk without falling off the disk surface.
[0020]
After taking a picture of the exposed surface of the part, the part 1 placed on the disc 14 rotates counterclockwise until the lowest point is reached. At this point, the vacuum holding the component ceases to supply from the vacuum groove 46. When the disk 14 rotates, the air holes 44 on the side surfaces of the disk 14 are in contact with the vacuum slots arranged on the surface of the protrusion 6 of the housing part 4. When the part reaches the lowest point, the supply of air to the air hole 44 is stopped because the air hole 44 reaches the air / vacuum separation chamber. At this point, the part leaves the vacuum groove 46 and is transported to the end of the lower disk 16. As the part continues to rotate, the camera takes a picture.
[0021]
FIG. 3 is a schematic configuration diagram of the lighting device. As shown in FIG. 3, the present invention comprises at least four color cameras 18a, 18b, 18c, 18d, an RGB frame support, a computer 300 connected to the color cameras, and a fiber for providing illumination light 304, 306. Cable.
[0022]
The selected and filtered red light is provided via a fiber optic cable led from a light source 304. The location of the optical cable is shown in FIG. A pair of brackets 184 with light illumination devices are provided around the head lens 182 of the camera. The bracket is slightly bent at an angle, the center of which holds the light emitting device through a hole 188. The red light illuminates the surface of the component, ie, the body and the electrode, and the reflected light is used for analyzing the surface.
[0023]
A fiber cable that transmits blue light from a light source 306 where the light is filtered via a filter 310 is aligned in the same direction as the camera lens. This blue light illuminates the component surface.
[0024]
The image capture unit 302 captures an image of the part, the data of which is stored and analyzed by a computer that digitally filters into blue, red, and green light. The software used to analyze the part surface comprises a method for analyzing the surface.
[0025]
【The invention's effect】
The lighting device includes a lighting source, a camera, an RGB frame support, a computer connected to each camera, and a light device for illuminating the components. Illumination light is pre-filtered and provided via a fiber optic cable.
[0026]
The color camera used is aligned in the same direction as the fiber optic cable that transmits the pre-filtered light. A bracket that holds the light emitting device is fixed around the head lens of the camera.
[0027]
The bracket is bent slightly to an angle, and its center and sides are provided with holes for holding the light emitting device.
[0028]
The housing part to which the rotating disk is mounted together with the camera part is a component of the lighting device. The lighting device is completed by a camera placed to collect images of components arranged near and around the V-slot of the disk, an RGB frame support, and an optical cable attached to a computer.
Illumination allows for efficient inspection of different surfaces of components located in the V-slots of the lower disk and the upper disk.
