このような問題を解消するために、一部の食堂では箸を載せることができる箸支え台を備えて、使用しない場合、箸を載せて箸の食べ物と接触される接触部が食卓等と接触されないようにする方法が用いられているが、このような方法は、箸以外に別途の箸支え台を備えて食卓の上に載せなければならないのは勿論、箸を使用した後には箸支え台の上に載せなけばならない厄介な点があった。

前述の問題点を解消するためのものとして、本人の先登録した大韓民国実用新案登録第１４５８４１号が登録されている。実用新案登録第１４５８４１号の要旨は左、右一対の箸の一端部が下向に傾斜されるように形成した円環の支持部１２０で連結され、前記箸の底面には外側面をエンボッシングまたはローレット加工してなる取手部１４０を一体に形成したものである。

しかし、前述の箸は取手部１４０と支持部１２０が食卓に接触支持されるので、接触部１３０を食卓面と接触されないようにする効果はあるが、取手部１４０を押えて食べ物を掴む場合に箸を狭める力が円環の支持部１２０に作用するようになる結果、円環の外側部は引張力を受けるようになり、内側部は収縮力を受けるようになり、使用の際、支持部が弱化されるか破損される問題が発生される。
また、破損を防止するために支持部を補強すると箸が狭められないので食べ物を掴み難い問題が発生する。

勿論、支持部の円環を大きく形成させて問題を解決することができるが、これは箸の均衡が合わないので美観を損なう他の問題があり、箸使用に伴う力を全部支持部で受けるようにする場合には中心点から遠く離れた接触部が行き違い互いに合致され難い問題も発生するようになる。
