Abstract

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for hot-water disinfection of rice seeds designed to readily and surely place a rice seed container in a prescribed position on a hot water jetting part or a cold water jetting part when the rice seed container is placed on the hot water jetting part in a hot water tank of a hot water disinfector or the cold water jetting part in a cold water tank of a water cooler. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus for hot-water disinfection of the rice seeds is composed of the hot water disinfector 1 and the water cooler 36. The apparatus is equipped with the hot water tank 2 provided with a hot water jetting part 8 for jetting hot water in the interior and the perforated rice seed container 29 housing the rice seeds to be disinfected and placing the rice seed container 29 on the hot water jetting part 8 in the hot water tank 2. 【発明の属する技術分野】
本発明は、種籾を温湯に浸して種籾の表面に付着しまたは籾殻と果皮との間に潜む病原菌(いもち病、ばか苗病、苗立枯細菌病、ごま葉枯病、褐条病、もみ枯細菌病などの病原菌が主な例である)を殺菌、滅菌または除菌(以下、消毒という)する種籾の温湯消毒装置に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
種籾を所定温度の温湯に所定時間浸すことにより、種籾の表面に付着または籾殻と果皮との間に潜む病原菌を消毒する装置としては、特開2000−316321号公報または特開2000−342018号公報に記載されているものが知られており、種籾を収容した種籾容器を自走クレーンで吊り下げて温湯タンクに出し入れする種籾の温湯消毒装置は、特開平11−318118号公報に記載されている。また、芋もの野菜種子の滅菌装置であって種子をバスケットに入れてその下方から上方に温水を貫流させて滅菌処理し、滅菌処理後に種子をいれたままバスケットの下方から上方に冷水を貫流させて冷却処理するものは、特開平8−9714号公報に記載されている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
前掲の特開2000−316321号公報、特開2000−342018号公報または特開平8−9714号公報に記載されている種籾の消毒装置おいては、温湯タンクに張った温湯に種籾を単に浸すだけでなく、種籾に噴き上げる温湯を浴びせることにより、種籾の温湯消毒を確実にし、かつその効果の向上を図っているものである。すなわち、これら種籾の温湯消毒装置おいては、温湯タンク内に温湯噴き上げ部を設けてあり、種籾の温湯消毒にあたっては、種籾を収容した種籾容器を温湯噴き上げ部上に降ろして定位置に載せなければならないが、温湯タンク内には温湯が張られているので、その揺れに伴う複雑な光屈折作用や湯気が立ちこめるなどのほか、消毒作業を何度も繰り返すことにより温湯が汚濁してくるなどのために、温湯タンクの上から種籾容器を温湯噴き上げ部上の定位置に降ろしにくいのが実情である。特に、特開平11−318118号公報に示すように、種籾容器の上げ下ろしに走行クレーンを用いるものにあっては、温湯噴き上げ部に対する種籾容器の位置合わせがいっそう困難である。このことは温湯消毒後の種籾を冷水に浸して冷却する冷水タンクにおいても同様に問題である。

そこで、本発明は、温湯タンク内の温湯噴き上げ部の周囲に、消毒する種籾を収容した多孔状の種籾容器を温湯噴き上げ部上の定位置に案内する案内部を設けて、その案内部の上端部が温湯タンク内の温水面上に常に露出するように構成したことにより、温湯タンク内の温湯噴き上げ部に種籾容器を載せる際に、種籾容器を温湯噴き上げ部上の定位置に容易かつ確実に載せることができる種籾の温湯消毒装置を提供することを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記目的を達成するため、本発明は次の種籾の温湯消毒装置を提供する。すなわち、請求項1に係るものは、種籾を温湯に浸して消毒する温湯消毒機と、温湯消毒機で温湯消毒した種籾を冷水に浸して冷却する水冷機とを備えて成る種籾の温湯消毒装置であって、温湯消毒機は、内部に温湯を噴き上げる温湯噴き上げ部を設けた温湯タンクと、温湯タンク内の温湯噴き上げ部の周囲に、消毒する種籾を収容した多孔状の種籾容器を温湯噴き上げ部上の定位置に案内する案内部を設けて成り、上記案内部は、その上端部が温湯タンク内の温水面上に露出するように構成されていることを特徴とする種籾の温湯消毒装置である。

本発明に係る種籾の温湯消毒装置は、温湯消毒機1、後述する水冷機および同じく作業用のクレーンを備えて成るものである。温湯消毒機1は、温湯タンク2、給湯制御機3を備えており、4は温湯循環口である。温湯タンク2内には、多孔状のスノコ5が底面との間に一定の高さを成すように配置されており、温湯タンク2内の底面とスノコ5との間が温湯流下室6を成し、スノコ5の上が温湯貯留室7を成している。温湯タンク2の温湯貯留室7には、上面に多数の温湯噴出孔をあけた温湯噴き上げ部8を形成している。温湯タンク2は、二重壁構造であってその中空部には断熱材を充填し、保温性を向上させてある。

給湯制御機3は、給湯器9を内蔵しており、給湯器9はU字状の電気ヒータ10を備えている。上記各給湯器9の温湯送出口11と前記温湯噴き上げ部8とは温湯送出管12により接続され、各給湯器9の下部はモータポンプ13の送出側に温湯戻し管14により接続されており、さらにモータポンプ13の吸入側は温湯吸入管15により温湯タンク2の温湯流下室6に連通させてある。そして、この構成によって、モータポンプ13により温湯タンク2の温湯流下室6から吸入された温湯は給湯器9において、予め設定した所定の温湯消毒温度の温湯が給湯されるように加熱制御されたうえ、温湯噴き上げ部8内に加圧給湯されて、温湯噴き上げ部8の上面から噴射され、噴射された温湯は温湯貯留室7からスノコ5を通して温湯流下室6に流下する経路で繰り返し循環されることになる。

給湯器9にはフロートスイッチ16を内臓しており、給湯器9内が所定水位のときのみ電気ヒータ10に通電するように、後述の温湯制御器17により制御される構成としてある。

給湯制御機3は、その上部に温湯制御器17を内蔵しており、この温湯制御器17により各給湯器9の電気ヒータ10への通電を制御して、温湯噴き上げ部8に給湯される温湯の温度を所定の温容消毒温度に保つように成っている。温湯制御器17は、その上面にタイマーを始動するスタートボタン18とリセットボタン19を備えている。温湯タンク2には、給湯制御装置3の設置側以外の適宜側面に移動配置可能な操作器20が備えられており、そのスタートボタン21とリセットボタン22は、温湯制御器17のスタートボタン18とリセットボタン19とそれぞれ連動しているので、温湯制御器17から離れてもタイマー始動操作と停止操作が可能である。

23はガス給湯器である。このガス給湯器23は、種籾の温湯消毒作業開始前に温湯タンク2に所定温度の温湯を張るためのものである。前記温湯制御機3とガス給湯器23はそれらを一体にユニット化して、温湯タンク2の一側に固定して併設してある。24は上記ユニット化のための台構造体である。25は給湯管、26はガス給湯器23への給水管、27は温湯タンク2のオーバーフロー口、28はオーバーフロー管である。オーバーフロー管28は透光性(透明または半透明)の可撓管からなり、オーバーフローの状況が外部から観察できるように成っている。

上記ガス給湯器23は、種籾の温湯消毒作業開始前に温湯タンク2に所定温度の温湯を張るためのものであるから、比較的熱容量の大きいものであれば、必ずしも熱源がガスでなくてもよいが、熱効率が高くかつエネルギー価格の低い熱源であることが望ましい。この点で一般的にはガスが適しているが、例えば、灯油給湯器であったり、低価格の夜間電力を利用して夜間に湯を沸かしておいてそれを用いることもよいし、太陽熱などの自然エネルギーの活用も考えられる。

ガス給湯器23により種籾の温湯消毒作業開始前に温湯タンク2に張る温湯の温度は、種籾の温湯消毒温度よりやや低い温度とし、温湯制御機3により所定の温湯消毒温度に保つのが一般的である。しかし、ガス給湯器23から温湯タンク2に温湯の温度を高めにして所定の水位よりやや低い水位まで給湯し、それに冷水を足して温湯タンク2内の温湯を所定の温湯消毒温度とすることも可能である。そして、このような態様は、例えば夜間電力によって夜間に湯を沸かして使用する場合などに好適であるし、温湯タンク2内の温湯を速やかに所定の温度に調整することができるという利点がある。また、寒冷地においては、ガス給湯器23から常時給湯あるいは適時間間隔の給湯によって、温湯タンク2内の温湯の温度を所定の温度に保つことも行われる。

29は種籾容器である。この種籾容器29は底面および側面が多孔状であり、消毒する種籾を網袋に入れまたはそのまま直に収容して温湯タンク2内の温湯噴き上げ部8上に載置する。30はその吊りアームである。

温湯タンク2内の温湯噴き上げ部8には、その周囲に上方から降ろす種籾容器29を温湯噴き上げ部8上の定位置に案内する案内部31を設けてある。この案内部31は、種籾容器29の周面、図示の実施の形態では種籾容器29の四隅の稜線を挟んだ面に接するように温湯噴き上げ部8の四隅に配置した4つの起立体32で成り、起立体32の上端は外方に開いた誘導部33を成している。誘導部33は、垂直面に対して20°〜60°程度で外方に傾斜しているが、その傾斜角度は45°程度が種籾容器29の円滑な下降案内のうえで好適である。上記案内部31は、四隅に配置した起立体32に囲み枠34を形成して成るものである。

温湯タンク2内で開口するオーバーフロー口27は、上記案内部31の起立体32の上端部、すなわち誘導部33の全体またはその一部が温水面より露出する位置で開口しており(図4参照)、オーバーフロー管32は温湯タンク2の排水管35に接続されていて、オーバーフローされる温水が排水管35から排出されるように成っている。

本発明に係る種籾の温湯消毒装置を構成する水冷機36は、温湯消毒機1で所定時間温湯消毒した種籾を冷水に浸して急速冷却するためのものである。温湯消毒後の種籾は、温湯消毒時の高い温度のままにしておくと種籾の発芽率が低下したり、また発芽障害を起こすので、温湯消毒後はできるだけ速やかにかつ全体を均等に冷却する必要がある。

本発明に係る水冷機36はその要求を満たすものである。水冷機36は、図7に示すように、冷水タンク37に冷水を所要の水圧に加圧して給水する給水機38を備えて構成され、冷水タンク37内は、その底部をスノコ39で区画して上部を冷水貯留部40、下部を冷水還流部41とし、スノコ39上には冷水噴き上げ部42が備えられていて、給水機38のポンプ43から給水管44を通して加圧給水される冷水が冷水噴き上げ部42の上面から冷水貯留部40内に噴き上がるように構成されている。冷水貯留部40内に噴き上がった冷水は冷水貯留部40内で対流を繰り返したうえスノコ39を通して冷水還流部41に流下し、冷水戻り管45を経て給水機38のポンプ43に戻流するように成っている。給水管44には上水道からの給水口46が設けられていて、この給水口46から常時または適当な時間間隔で冷水を給水するが、上水道と給水口46との間は、貯水タンク(図示せず)を介して中継するか、あるいは逆流防止手段を介在させて、給水機38から上水道への逆流防止を図るものとする。

冷水噴き上げ部42には、その周囲に上方から降ろす種籾容器29を冷水噴き上げ部42上の定位置に案内する案内部47を設けてある。この案内部47は、種籾容器29の周面、図示の実施の形態では種籾容器29の四隅の稜線を挟んだ面に接するように冷水噴き上げ部42の四隅に配置した4つの起立体48で成り、起立体48の上端は外方に開いた誘導部49を成している。誘導部49は、垂直面に対して20°〜60°程度で外方に傾斜しているが、その傾斜角度は45°程度が種籾容器29の円滑な下降案内のうえで好適である。上記案内部47において四隅に配置した起立体48に囲み枠を形成していることは、温湯タンク2における構成と同様である。

冷水タンク37の底壁には排水管50が接続されており、その排水管50の冷水タンク37内における排水口51にはオーバーフロー管52が接続されていて、冷水タンク37内で開口するオーバーフロー口53は、上記案内部47の起立体48の上端部、すなわち誘導部49の全体またはその一部が冷水面より露出する位置で開口している。図示の実施の形態においては、排水管50にオーバーフロー管52が抜き差し自在と成っていて、オーバーフロー管52を抜くと排水管50が開口するようにしてあるが、排水手段とオーバーフロー手段は、必ずしもそのようなものでなくてもよい。

本発明に係る種籾の温湯消毒装置1においては、前記のように、その温湯タンク2内の温湯噴き上げ部8に種籾容器29を定位置に案内する案内部31が設けられており、その起立体32の上端は外方に開いた誘導部33を成しているので、クレーン54により吊り下げて温湯タンク2の上に移動させた種籾容器29を温湯噴き上げ部8上に概略的な位置合わせをするだけで、種籾容器29を温湯噴き上げ部8の上の定位置に載置することができる。なお、クレーン54において、55はガイドレール、56は自走体、57は下げフック、58は操作制御器である。

そして、温湯タンク2内において、案内部31の起立体32の上端部、すなわち誘導部33は、常時温水面から露出しているので、温湯タンク2内の温水が汚濁してきても、種籾容器29を温湯噴き上げ部8上の定位置に載置する作業に支障を生じないし、容易かつ確実にその作業を行うことができる。

また、冷水タンク37内においても、その冷水タンク37内の冷水噴き上げ部40に種籾容器29を定位置に案内する案内部47が設けられており、その起立体48の上端は外方に開いた誘導部49を成しているので、クレーン54により吊り下げて冷水タンク37上に移動させた種籾容器29を冷水噴き上げ部42上に概略的な位置合わせをするだけで、種籾容器29を冷水噴き上げ部42上の定位置に的確に載置することができる。すなわち、クレーン54により冷水タンク37上に移動させた種籾容器29の冷水噴き上げ部42に対する正確な位置合わせの必要がないところから、種籾容器29を滞りなく冷水噴き上げ部42上に載置することができるので、温湯消毒後の種籾の急速な冷却に大きく寄与するものとなる。

そして、冷水タンク37内において、案内部47の起立体48の上端部、すなわち誘導部49は、常時冷水面から露出しているので、冷水タンク37内の冷水が汚濁してきても、種籾容器29を冷水噴き上げ部42上の定位置に載置する作業に支障を生じないし、容易かつ確実にその作業を行うことができる。

温湯消毒機1における所定の温湯消毒温度は50℃〜65℃の範囲内、種籾の温湯への浸漬時間は5分〜20分の範囲内でそれぞれ特定値に設定するが、温湯消毒温度が低いときは消毒時間を長く、かつ温度が高いときは消毒時間を短く設定する。ちなみに、各種試験データからその一例を示せば、温湯消毒温度が58℃では消毒時間が15分、60℃では10分、62℃では5分とするのが好適である。

水冷機36における冷水温度は、20°以下で氷結しない範囲であればよいが、温湯消毒後の種籾を急速に冷却するうえで水温が低いほうがよく、また流水状態であることが好ましい。

なお、本発明に係る温湯タンク2および給湯制御装置3を、種籾を温湯に浸して発芽を促す催芽にも使用する場合には、温湯制御温度を0〜35℃または0〜50℃の温度設定範囲、保護上限温度37℃または52℃の機能を兼ね備えたものとする。

【発明の効果】
本発明によれば、温湯タンク内の温湯噴き上げ部の周囲に、消毒する種籾を収容した多孔状の種籾容器を温湯噴き上げ部上の定位置に案内する案内部を設けて、その案内部の上端部が温湯タンク内の温水面上に常に露出するように構成したことにより、温湯タンク内の温湯噴き上げ部に種籾容器を載せる際に、種籾容器を温湯噴き上げ部上の定位置に容易かつ確実に載せることができる。
