近年、情報通信技術を利用して、交通の安全性などを最適化させる技術として、ITS(Intelligent Transport System:高度道路交通システム)の開発が進められている。このITSの一つにAHS(Advanced Cruise−Asist Highway System:走行支援道路システム)がある。

道路側インフラ20は、連続的に、或いは、離散的に配置されたDSRC(Dedicated Short Range Communication)を主体に構成されている。
L=(V2−Vt2)/2α+V・T
【0042】

In the ROM of the microcomputer, an icon I, a picture symbol Sp, and a character symbol St, which function as display information, are stored, for example, as bitmap data. Here, in this specification, the icon I is a picture that embodies the contents of the service. The picture symbol Sp is a picture (basically a traffic sign or the like) that embodies the contents of the event to be serviced, and the character symbol St is a character (or this character) indicating the contents of the event to be serviced. (Including characters that call attention to the event). The icon I, the pictorial symbol Sp, and the character symbol St are stored as data of a number corresponding to each type of service that can be provided as service information. As shown in the present embodiment, the services operated as the AHS1 include a curve approach danger prevention support, a road surface information provision support, an encounter collision prevention support (approach at the time of approach), an encounter collision prevention support (at the start), a right turn collision prevention In the case of six types of support and pedestrian crossing pedestrian collision prevention support, data of six types × 3 types (icon I, symbol Sp, St) are basically stored in the ROM. However, since various situations are assumed for the events to be serviced, various variations are provided particularly for the pictorial symbol Sp and the character symbol St even when focusing on one service. Is preferred. For example, in the case of a service relating to road surface information provision support, there are variations such as road surface freezing, a road with a low friction coefficient, road surface wetness, snow cover, and the like as events to be provided by the service.

As a second condition, an icon I corresponding to a certain service is displayed in a predetermined display color for each icon I (in the present embodiment, I1 to I6). Therefore, the icons I displayed for a certain service are displayed in the same display color. In the example shown in FIG. 7, the icons I1 to I6 are displayed in unique display colors of purple, yellow, blue, green, orange, and light green, respectively, as shown in parentheses for each of I1 to I6. .

[0040]
8 and 9 are explanatory diagrams showing the difference between the display mode of the icon I corresponding to the running service and the display mode of the icon I corresponding to the service not running. Here, FIG. 8 corresponds to FIG. 6 described above. For example, assuming that the encounter collision prevention support (approaching at the time of approach) is in the non-operation state, the icon I3 corresponding to this service is replaced by the icon I1 other than the icon I3. , I2 (icon corresponding to the currently operating service) are displayed more faintly (semi-transparently). On the other hand, FIG. 9 corresponds to FIG. 7 described above, and as in FIG. 8, it is determined that the encounter collision prevention support (approaching at the time of approaching) is in the non-operation state, and the icon “I3” corresponding to this service is indicated by “ The mark “x” is displayed. In this way, by making the display form different depending on whether the service is operating or not, whether the icon I is not displayed because the service is not present in the service section or the display of the icon I due to the failure of the roadside infrastructure. It is possible for the driver to effectively recognize whether or not the vehicle has been lost. In the case where a negative determination is made in step 5 described above (that is, in the case of non-operation), in addition to the display of the background image B, the state of display is changed as shown in FIGS. The icon I may be displayed with a blank or “x” mark). In this case, compared to the case where only the background image B is displayed, it is possible to make the driver recognize the content of the service that should be originally provided in the currently running service section.

Here, the purpose of displaying (or blinking) all the icons I1 to I6 with the reception of the service information is to make the driver visually recognize that the vehicle C is currently entering the service section. It is in. Therefore, by performing such preprocessing, the driver can effectively grasp the approach of the host vehicle C to the service section.
[0058]
In the above-described embodiment, the description has been made on the premise that the service is a single-route system. However, the present invention provides the same operation and effect even in a composite service including a single-route system and an intersection system service. Is natural. However, in a composite service including both a single road system and an intersection system service, the icon I corresponding to the single road system service and the icon I corresponding to the intersection system service are displayed at different timings. Such control may be performed. This is because it is considered that the service of the single road system and the service of the intersection system rarely occur at the same time in a general driving situation. FIG. 12 is an explanatory diagram illustrating a display example of the icon I. The icon I4 shown in FIG. 12 shows a state in which encounter collision prevention support (startup support) as shown in FIG. 5B is displayed as an example of the intersection-based service. Therefore, in such a composite service, it is preferable that the icon I corresponding to the service of the single road system and the icon I corresponding to the service of the intersection system are displayed independently at the display timing of the icon I. Specifically, in a situation where services of a single road system are concentrated at the beginning of a service section, only a single road system icon I is displayed as shown in FIG. At this stage, an icon I (an icon I4 shown in FIG. 12) corresponding to an intersection-based service as shown in FIG. 12 is displayed. Thereby, the driver can easily recognize which service of the intersection system or the single road system exists first.
[0059]
Here, referring again to FIG. 7 and focusing on the display position of each icon I, on the
[0060]
The display method described in the present embodiment is an example, and various changes can be made without departing from the gist of the present invention. For example, in the case where the display timings of the symbols Sp and St are coincident (or extremely close) with respect to two or more events, it is possible to simultaneously display two or more picture symbols Sp as shown in FIG. preferable. In the example shown in the figure, the picture symbol Sp corresponding to the closest display timing of the vehicle C is first displayed in the center as the main picture symbol Sp-main. Then, the picture symbol Sp corresponding to the display timing immediately after that is set as a sub-picture symbol Sp-sub at the lower left of the main picture symbol Sp-main in consideration of the line-of-sight movement by the driver, and the display size of the main picture symbol Sp-main is changed. It is displayed so as to be smaller than -main. In this way, by simultaneously displaying the picture symbols Sp corresponding to the two events, it is possible to simultaneously alert the driver about these events. In addition, by appropriately using sizes such as main and sub, it is possible to express a sense of distance where an event can occur. In this case, it is conceivable that the character symbols St are displayed side by side in the same manner as the picture symbols Sp. However, if the ease of recognition on the

It is preferable that the computer 14 having such two control modes has a switch capable of switching the control mode between the simple display control mode and the detailed display control mode. Thus, the display state according to the user's needs can be arbitrarily selected by each driver. For example, it is difficult for a driver who is inexperienced in driving to select the simple display control mode in which the contents of the event can be easily understood at a glance because it is difficult to look at the
[0064]
It should be noted that the pictures and characters indicating the icons I and the symbols Sp and St are merely examples, and it goes without saying that various changes can be made within the scope of the gist of the present invention.
【The invention's effect】
According to the present invention, for the service information received from the roadside infrastructure, the service included in the service information is displayed as an icon on the display screen. Thus, the driver can be made aware of the existence of the service. In addition, this recognition allows the driver to guarantee the predictability of the event to be serviced, which is advantageous in terms of suppressing traffic accidents.
