Description

【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an insect repellent for cereals and dry matter and a method for controlling insect pests of cereals and dry matter using the insect repellent. More specifically, it has an excellent insect repellent effect against cereal and dry matter pests, and is harmless to the human body, has high safety, and can be easily used in general households. The present invention relates to a method for controlling insect pests of cereals and dry matter using an insect repellent.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, grains such as rice, wheat (including flour), barley, beans, etc., and dry matter such as pasta, boiled, dried bonito, fu (fu), kampo etc. (hereinafter referred to as “cereals, etc.”) are stored in warehouses and households. In this case, there is a problem that pests such as weevil, weevil, and locust beetle proliferate and damage grains and the like. In order to prevent the damage caused by such pests, in grain stores, pest control means for fumigating the inside of the warehouse with a fumigant such as methyl bromide or phosphine and storing at low temperature has been adopted. In addition, means for spraying pesticide components and pyrethroid compounds into these storage warehouses have been taken.
[0003]
On the other hand, in the distribution stage of grains and the like and storage in ordinary households, the measures taken in the above-mentioned grain warehouses are difficult to implement in terms of cost, equipment, safety, etc. Since cereals and the like are foods, sufficient consideration has been required for the safety of the drugs used.
[0004]
In recent years, various insect repellents that can be used easily and safely in ordinary households have been proposed. For example, an insect repellent for rice using wasabi, mustard, ginger, pepper, garlic and the like as an active ingredient has been proposed. In addition, a spice component including an allicin component and a capsaicin component is stored in a breathable container, and the container is stored together with the rice in a rice container such as a rice bin or a rice packaging bag. Also, various insect repellents such as a weevil repellent (for example, Patent Document 2) containing tea tree oil and / or pine oil derived from natural products as active ingredients have been proposed. .
[0005]
These conventional insect repellents for cereals and the like use natural products or agents used in foods, so there is no problem in safety, but the effect on pests such as cereals is very weak. However, there is a problem that sufficient insect repellent effect cannot be obtained.

[0007]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
Therefore, development of an insect repellent for cereals and dry matter which has sufficient insect repellent efficacy against cereal and dry matter pests, is harmless to the human body, has high safety, and can be easily used in ordinary households has been desired.
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The present inventor has conducted intensive studies on components having an insect repellent effect on pests of cereals and dry matter in order to solve the above-mentioned problems. The present inventors have found that they have an excellent insect repellent effect on the present invention, and have completed the present invention.
[0009]
That is, the present invention provides an insect repellent for cereals and dry matter, comprising one or more alcohols having 1 to 10 carbon atoms as an active ingredient.
[0010]
The present invention also provides a method for controlling pests of cereals and dry matter, which comprises applying the above-mentioned insecticide for cereals and dry matter to storage or storage of cereals and dry matter.
[0011]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
In the present specification, the term “insect repellent” is a concept including an action of killing insect pests and an action of repelling pests, and “cereal” refers to brown rice, polished rice, rice such as rice cake, wheat (flour) ), Barley, millet, leeches, beans, corn, corn starch, starch, buckwheat flour, and other crops that consume the seeds or powder, and "dry matter" refers to pasta, macaroni, boiled, dried bonito, fu ( Fu), Kanpyo, agar, somen, cold wheat, aiming, kelp, dried shiitake, Takano tofu, string and other dry foods.
[0012]
The insect repellent for cereals and dry matter of the present invention contains an alcohol having 1 to 10 carbon atoms as an active ingredient.
[0013]
Examples of the alcohol having 1 to 10 carbon atoms (hereinafter, sometimes simply referred to as "alcohol") used in the present invention include aliphatic alcohols and aromatic alcohols having such carbon atoms.
[0014]
Among them, as the aliphatic alcohol, methanol, ethanol, 1-propanol, 2-propanol, 1-butanol, 2-butanol, 2-methyl-1-propanol, 2-methyl-2-propanol, pentanol, hexanol, Examples include hydrocarbon alcohols such as heptanol, octanol, nonanol, and decanol, and alcohols such as terpene alcohols such as cis-3-hexenol, trans-3-hexenol, linalool, and geraniol. These alcohols may be used alone. Or a combination of two or more.
[0015]
In addition, examples of the aromatic alcohol include allyl alcohol, benzyl alcohol, and eugenol, and one of these can be used alone or two or more can be used in combination.
[0016]
In the insecticide for cereals and dry matter of the present invention, it is preferable to use ethanol among the above alcohols having 1 to 10 carbon atoms. Ethanol has a high volatility and can be volatilized quickly even in grain storage containers with low airtightness, so it can exhibit excellent insect repellent effects from the initial stage after installation and has low toxicity to humans and high safety Therefore, it is preferable. Ethanol is more preferable because it has an antibacterial effect and a fungicidal effect in addition to the insect repellent effect.
[0017]
In the present invention, when ethanol is used as the alcohol, the alcohol is not limited to pure ethanol, and a modified alcohol such as methanol-denatured ethanol, geraniol-denatured ethanol, and 8-acetylated sucrose-denatured alcohol may be used.
[0018]
The insect repellent for cereals and dry matter of the present invention may contain other pest control components in addition to the above-mentioned alcohol, whereby a more excellent insect repellent effect can be exhibited. Examples of these other pest control ingredients include extracts or essential oils such as pepper, wasabi, perilla, allicin, capsaicin, perilaldehyde, sage, rosemary, basil, thyme, cardamom, nutmeg, clove, coriander and the like. These may be used alone or in combination of two or more.
[0019]
The insect repellent for cereals and dry matter of the present invention is prepared by appropriately mixing the alcohol and, if necessary, other components for controlling pests. It can also be produced by combining it with an appropriate carrier if necessary and formulating it in a conventional manner.
[0020]
The dosage form of the insect repellent for cereals and dry matter of the present invention is not particularly limited, and can be in the form of a liquid preparation, a gel preparation or a solid preparation. For example, the liquid agent may be a liquid alcohol alone or a mixture of the alcohol and other pest control components, or may be a form in which alcohol or other pest control components are dissolved in an appropriate solvent. . As a solvent that can be used for preparing a liquid preparation, it is preferable to use a liquid carrier that has been conventionally used as a solvent for alcohol and that is highly safe for the human body, and for water and the human body. Highly safe organic solvents, for example, hydrocarbon compounds such as hexane and paraffin, terpene hydrocarbon compounds such as limonene and pinene, halogenated hydrocarbon compounds such as chloroform, and ether compounds such as diethyl ether and diethylene glycol diethyl ether. Compounds, ketone compounds such as acetone, acetic acid, fatty acid compounds such as oleic acid, ester compounds such as acetate, propionate, benzoate, glycol compounds such as ethylene glycol and propylene glycol, 2-phenoxyethanol, 3-methyl-3-methoxy Glycol ether-based compounds such as ethanol, sesame oil, linoleic oil, salad oil, etc. can be used. These solvents can be used alone or in combination of two or more. When these solvents are used, the concentration of the alcohol of the active ingredient is adjusted with respect to the whole insect repellent. The content is preferably from 1 to 100% by mass (hereinafter, referred to as “%”), and more preferably from 10 to 100%.
[0021]
In preparing the solution, a surfactant may be added as necessary. Examples of the surfactant that can be used include, for example, conventionally known surfactants such as a cationic surfactant, an anionic surfactant, an amphoteric surfactant, and a nonionic surfactant. Can be used alone or in combination of two or more.
[0022]
In addition, the insect repellent for cereals and dry matter of the present invention can be a solid or sheet-like solid agent in which the above-mentioned liquid agent is impregnated and supported by a suitable carrier. The carrier to be supported is not particularly limited, and examples thereof include wood, paper, cloth, nonwoven fabric, silica, talc, activated carbon, silica gel, zeolite, cellulose beads, activated carbon, and ceramic.
[0023]
Further, the insect repellent for cereals and dry matter of the present invention may be a gel prepared by gelling the above liquid. Examples of the gelling agent used in the preparation of the gel include those conventionally known, such as carrageenan, gellan gum, agar, gelatin, guar gum, pectin, locust bean gum, xanthan gum, sodium alginate, cellulose derivatives, and acrylic acid. One or more kinds of superabsorbent resins such as sodium, dibenzylidene-D-sorbitol, hydroxypropylated polysaccharides and the like can be used.
[0024]
The insect repellent for cereals and dry matter of the present invention is advantageously a solid agent or a gel agent rather than a liquid agent. That is, although the alcohol as an active ingredient is liquid, the solid agent or the gel agent eliminates the problem that alcohol flows out in a container such as a grain and wets the stored grain and the like. It is preferable because it can be easily handled. In particular, when a gel is used, the active ingredient can be stably volatilized in a storage container for the grain or the like to be applied, and the effect can be confirmed and the effective period can be confirmed by visually observing the degree of gel reduction. This is more preferable because there is an advantage that the end time can be easily determined.
[0025]
The above-mentioned insecticide for cereals and dry matter of the present invention includes, in addition to the above-mentioned components, generally used fragrances, deodorants, fungicides, pigments, pigments, antioxidants, ultraviolet absorbers. Agents and the like can be appropriately added as long as the effects of the present invention are not hindered. Regarding each of these components, it goes without saying that the components are harmless and safe for the human body.
[0026]
The thus obtained insecticide for cereals and dry matter of the present invention is stored and stored as it is or, if necessary, in an appropriate bag or in an open container where the drug can be volatilized. It can be installed in a place, for example, in a grain warehouse or in a household storage or storage container. The active ingredient of the insect repellent for cereals and dry matter of the present invention exerts its effect naturally or by forced volatilization by means such as blowing or heating.
[0027]
