本発明は、メダルプッシュゲームのメダル補給装置に関し、特に、プレイヤーが保有するメダルをゲームフィールドに投入するためのメダル補給装置の改良に関する。

メダルプッシュゲームにおいて、プレイヤーが自分の保有するメダルをゲームフィールドに投入する場合、従来は、ゲーム機筐体の上部に設けられた投入口にメダルを1個づつ手作業で投入していた。また、ガンタイプのメダルゲームにおいては、メダルを発射する前に、ガンに1回1回メダルを装填した上、その都度発射ボタンを押してメダルを発射していた。
そのため、経営者サイドから見ると、一人のプレイヤーのゲームの所要時間が増加し、客の回転率が低くなるという問題を生じ、また、プレイヤーにとっては、ゲーム中の作業負担が大きく、ゲームに集中できないという問題があった。

本発明は、上記の問題点を解決するためなされたものであり、その目的とするところは、メダルを投入する際の手間、その間のゲーム動作の停止、プレイヤーが時間当たりに投入できるメダル枚数の個人差による問題、等々を解消し得るメダルプッシュゲームのメダル補給装置を提供することにある。

このメダルガン9に関連するメダル補給装置が、本発明に係る請求項1に記載の装置である。以下、図1〜図5を参照しつつ、当該メダル補給装置について説明する。

プレイヤーは、メダル払出し口5からメダル受け皿6内へ払い出されたメダルMを、隣接して設けられたメダル載せ皿7へ手で移動させる(図3参照)。この移動作業を容易にするため、メダル受け皿6のメダル載せ皿側の内壁面は、図示する如く傾斜させておくことが望ましい。
メダル載せ皿7には、載せられたメダルを取入れ口スリット8に導くスロープ71が形成されており、そのため、スロープ上のメダルは自動的に、もしくはプレイヤーが軽く指で押すだけで取入れ口スリット8内へ送り込まれる。従って、プレイヤーは従来の如くガンのメダル投入口を確認しながら1個づつメダルを挿入する必要がなく、ゲームに集中することができる。

取入れ口スリット8内へ送り込まれたメダルは、その数をセンサーとカウンタ(図では省略)によりカウントされた上、メダル自動補給用ホッパー(図9参照)へ回収される。
これとほぼ同時に、メダル自動補給用ホッパーからは、プレイヤーにより取入れ口スリット8内へ送り込まれたメダルと同数のメダルが、機械的もしくは空気圧によるコンベア(図では省略)によりメダルガン9へ送られて、その弾倉内に装填される。
或いはまた、取入れ口スリット8内へ送り込まれたメダル自体を、メダルガン9の弾倉内へ送って装填するように構成してもよい。

図4には、メダルガン9の構造の一例が模式的に示されており、コンベアによって送られてきたメダルMは、メダルガンの弾倉91内に装填され、プレイヤーがトリガー(引き金)92を引くことによりメダルMが発射される。トリガーを引き続けると、弾倉に装填されたメダル(プレイヤーが取入れ口スリット8へ入れたメダル数に等しい)のすべてが自動的に連射されるので、プレイヤーはメダルを1個づつ装填する手間が不要となり、ゲームの進行も促進される。
なお、前記カウンタによりカウントされたメダル数(取入れ口スリット8内へ送り込まれたメダル数)は、プレイヤーへの参考等のため、表示器10(図1参照)に表示するようにすることが望ましい。

なお、メダル載せ皿7A及び7Bの構成は、図1〜図3に示したメダル載せ皿7と同様である。
以下、メダル載せ皿7Bに載せたメダルと、これに関連して作動するメダル投下機構の作動(請求項2に記載のメダル補給装置)について説明する。

また、メダルガンやメダル投下機構を通じてメダルを連続的に放出させる構成としたことから、連続投入による爽快感、時間当たりのメダル投入数量の増加(ひいては、客の回転率の向上)、新しい遊びの開発可能性(シリーズ化等)にもつながるものである。
