本発明は、車両用ドアのアウトハンドル装置に関し、特に、合成樹脂から成るハンドル本体と、合成樹脂により形成されて前記ハンドル本体の外側を覆うカバーとから成るとともに車両用ドアの外面側に配置される操作ハンドル内に、一対の電極と、両電極間の静電容量の変化を検出する検出回路が設けられる基板と、前記両電極を前記カバー側から覆うグランドプレートとが収容される車両用ドアのアウトハンドル装置の改良に関する。

【従来の技術】
従来、車両ユーザによるドアの解錠意志を確認するものとして、たとえば特許文献1等で開示されたものが知られており、このものでは、静電容量センサが操作ハンドル内に配設され、操作ハンドルに車両ユーザの手が接近、もしくは接触したときの静電容量の変化によって車両ユーザの解錠意志を確認するようにしている。また車両ユーザが操作ハンドルの表面に無意識に接触するだけでドアの解錠意志が不所望に検出されたしまうことを防止するために、静電容量センサよりも操作ハンドルの表面側に配置されるグランドプレートが、操作ハンドルに内蔵されたものも既に実現されている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
ところで、このようなアウトハンドル装置において、前記センサ等を内蔵する操作ハンドルは、合成樹脂から成るハンドル本体と、合成樹脂により形成されてハンドル本体の外側を覆うカバーとから成るものであり、しかも車両用ドアの外面側に配置されるので、前記センサ等の内蔵電気部品の防水性を充分に確保する必要があるが、そのような防水性の確保のために組付性が低下することは回避したい。

本発明は、かかる事情に鑑みてなされたものであり、操作ハンドルに内蔵される電気部品の防水性を確保しつつ組付け性も向上させるようにした車両用ドアのアウトハンドル装置を提供することを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記目的を達成するために、請求項1記載の発明は、合成樹脂から成るハンドル本体と、合成樹脂により形成されて前記ハンドル本体の外側を覆うカバーとから成るとともに車両用ドアの外面側に配置される操作ハンドル内に、一対の電極と、両電極間の静電容量の変化を検出する検出回路が設けられる基板と、前記両電極を前記カバー側から覆うグランドプレートとが収容される車両用ドアのアウトハンドル装置において、前記カバー側に開口して前記ハンドル本体に形成される収容凹部に前記両電極ならびに両電極を覆う前記基板が収容、固定され、折り曲げ可能として前記グランドプレートに一端が一体に連設される支持脚の他端部が、前記収容凹部内の前記基板に連結され、前記両電極および前記基板の全部を埋没させるとともに前記支持脚の一部を埋没させるようにして前記収容凹部にポッティング材が充填され、前記ポッティング材の充填操作時には前記収容凹部の開口端を開放する位置に前記グランドプレートを配置する状態にある前記支持脚が、前記収容凹部への前記ポッティング材の充填後に前記収容凹部の開口端を前記グランドプレートで閉鎖するように折り曲げられることを特徴とする。

このような請求項1記載の発明の構成によれば、操作ハンドルに車両ユーザが触れることによって一対の電極間の静電容量が変化することを、検出回路で検出することになり、車両ユーザの解錠もしくは施錠意思を適確に確認することができる。またハンドル本体の収容凹部内に、一対の電極と、検出回路が設けられる基板とが基板で両電極を覆うようにして収容、固定され、両電極および基板の全部を埋没させるようにして収容凹部内にポッティング材が充填されるので、検出回路が設けられる基板および一対の電極を操作ハンドル内に容易に組付けることができる上に、基板および両電極の防水性を高めることができる。また収容凹部内に収容、固定された状態にある基板には、折り曲げ可能として一端がグランドプレートに一体に連設される支持脚の他端部が連結されるものであり、収容凹部内の両電極および基板の全部および支持脚の一部を埋没させるようにしてポッティング材を収容凹部に充填する際には収容凹部の開口端を開放する位置に前記グランドプレートを配置し、ポッティング材の充填後には収容凹部の開口端をグランドプレートで閉鎖するように支持脚が折り曲げられるので、ポッティング材の収容凹部への充填に支障を来すことがないようにして、ハンドル本体への両電極、基板およびグランドプレートの組付けを容易とし、組付け性の向上を図ることができる。

先ず図1および図2において、たとえば乗用車両が備えるサイドドアである車両用ドア15のアウターパネル16には、アウトハンドル装置が取り付けられており、該アウトハンドル装置は、車両の前後方向(図1および図2の左右方向)に延びる操作ハンドル17と、該操作ハンドル17の一端側でアウターパネル16に取付けられる第1ベース部材18と、前記操作ハンドル17の他端側でアウターパネル16に取付けられる第2ベース部材19とを備える。

図3および図4を併せて参照して、操作ハンドル17は、硬質の合成樹脂により形成されて車両の前後方向に延びるハンドル本体20と、合成樹脂により形成されてハンドル本体20の外側を覆うカバー21とが、複数たとえば一対のねじ部材22,22で相互に締結されて成るものである。

ハンドル本体20は、アウターパネル16とは反対側に開いた略U字状の横断面形状を有して車両の前後方向に延びる把持部20aと、該把持部20aの一端部に一体に設けられる支持腕部20bと、前記把持部20aの他端部に一体に設けられるガイド腕部20cとを一体に備える。またカバー21は、ハンドル本体20の把持部20aを嵌合させるようにしてアウターパネル16側に開いた略U字状の横断面形状を有して車両の前後方向に延びるように形成されており、該カバー21の一端部には、前記ハンドル本体20の支持腕部20bと協働して略L字状の支持腕23を構成する支持腕部20aが一体に連設される。

アウターパネル16には、前記把持部20aおよびアウターパネル16間に車両ユーザの手を挿入することを可能とするための差し込み凹部24を形成するための彎曲部16aが内方側に膨らむようにして設けられ、前記彎曲部16aを車両の前後方向に沿う前後から挟む位置でアウターパネル16には、わずかに凹んだ第1および第2取付け座25,26が、操作ハンドル17の一端部と、操作ハンドル17の他端部および第2ベース部材19とにそれぞれ対応するようにして設けられる。

図5を併せて参照して、第1ベース部材18と、第1取付け座25との間には操作ハンドル17の一端部にも当接可能な合成樹脂製の第1シート部材27が介装される。しかも第1ベース部材18には、第1シート部材27およびアウターパネル16を貫通してアウターパネル16の内方に挿入されるハンドル支持部18aが一体に設けられ、このハンドル支持部18aおよびアウターパネル16の内面との間にはスペーサ28が挟まれる。また第1ベース部材18には、第1シート部材27およびアウターパネル16を貫通し、前記スペーサ28に先端を当接させる円筒状の締結ボス部18bが一体に設けられており、前記スペーサ28に挿通されたボルト29を前記締結ボス部18bに螺合して締めつけることにより、第1ベース部材18が第1シート部材27を介して第1取付け座25に取付けられる。

操作ハンドル17の支持腕23は、第1ベース部材18、第1シート部材27およびアウターパネル16を貫通してアウターパネル16の内方に挿入されるものであり、第1ベース部材18のハンドル支持部18aに、前記支持腕23が支持ピン30を介して回動可能に支承される。これにより操作ハンドル17の一端部は、第1ベース部材18を介してアウターパネル16に回動可能に支承されることになる。

第2ベース部材19には、キーシリンダ錠36に図示しないキーを差し込んで操作するためのキー挿入孔37が設けられており、そのキー挿入孔37に一端を臨ませるキーシリンダ錠36のシリンダボディ38には、アウターパネル16の内面に当接するブラケット39が固設され、ブラケット39、アウターパネル16、シート部材35に挿通されてボス部材31に螺合するボルト34を締めつけることにより、キーシリンダ錠36のシリンダボディ38が、アウターパネル16を挟んで第2ベース部材19に固定される。またブラケット39はねじ部材40によって補強板33にも締結される。

第2ベース部材19には、アウターパネル16を貫通して該アウターパネル16の内方に突入するガイド筒部19aが一体に設けられており、操作ハンドル17の他端側のガイド腕部20cはガイド筒部19a内に移動可能に挿入される。またガイド筒部19aには、操作ハンドル17の回動軸線に直交する軸線まわりに回動可能としてベルクランク42が回動自在に支承され、ガイド腕部20cに設けられている係合孔43にベルクランク42の一端部が係合される。すなわち操作ハンドル17がベルクランク42に連結されることになる。

ベルクランク42の他端部は図示しないラッチ機構に連結される。而して、キーシリンダ錠36が解錠状態に在るときに、操作ハンドル17を操作しない場合にベルクランク42は図6で示す非作動位置に在り、このとき前記ラッチ機構で車両用ドア15の閉状態が保持される。また操作ハンドル17を操作することによるガイド腕部20cの作動により、ベルクランク42が図6の位置から作動位置に回動したときに、前記ラッチ機構は、車両用ドア15の閉状態を解除することになり、操作ハンドル17の操作により車両用ドア15を開放することが可能となる。
