(Overview of Technology) In recent years, chip-type electronic components such as IC chips and capacitors have been taped and packaged and provided for surface mounting. The taping package is heat-sealed with a cover tape after storing the electronic component in a carrier tape in which a concave portion for storing the electronic component is continuously embossed. At the time of mounting, the electronic component is peeled off the cover tape and is automatically taken out, and the cover tape must be easily peelable in order to be surface-mounted on the electronic circuit board. If the peeling force (also referred to as peeling strength, heat sealing strength, or peel-off strength) is too low, the cover tape comes off, and the electronic component falls off. There was a problem that the carrier tape vibrated and the electronic components jumped out of the storage pocket. In particular, when the difference between the maximum value and the minimum value of the peeling force (called zip-up) is large, the carrier tape vibrates violently. Further, there is a possibility that the electronic component may be degraded or destroyed due to static electricity generated when the electronic component comes into contact with the concave portion of the carrier tape or the cover tape, or when the cover tape is peeled off.
[0003]
(Prior art) Conventionally, a polyester film (substrate) and a polyethylene-modified or ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA) or the like are thermally bonded to a carrier tape made of a polyvinyl chloride resin or a polystyrene resin, which is easy to form a sheet. A cover tape in which layers (also referred to as HS layers) are laminated is known. However, there is a problem that the peeling force when the cover tape is peeled off by the mounting machine is not stable, a zip-up phenomenon occurs, the carrier tape vibrates violently, and the electronic component jumps out of the storage pocket.
Therefore, a structure using a base material / intermediate layer / thermal adhesive layer and utilizing a stable peeling force between the intermediate layer and the thermal adhesive layer, or a method in which the thermal adhesive layer is stably separated from the carrier tape due to cushioning properties of the intermediate layer. 2. Description of the Related Art A cover tape that obtains force is known (for example, see
In addition, the present applicant has disclosed that a substrate film layer, an adhesive layer, a flexible material layer, and a heat bonding layer are sequentially laminated, and the adhesive layer is a thermosetting resin or a polyethylene resin, and the flexible material layer is a linear In a low-density polyethylene, the thermal bonding layer contains a thermoplastic resin and conductive fine particles, and further, the content of the conductive fine particles of the thermal bonding layer is based on 100 parts by weight of the thermoplastic resin of the thermal bonding layer, A cover tape having 150 to 500 parts by weight of conductive fine particles is proposed in Japanese Patent Application No. 2001-385927.
However, due to the miniaturization of the electronic components and the speeding up of the mounting machine, there is a disadvantage that the electronic component pops out even with a slight zip-up due to a small difference in peeling force, and the efficiency of the mounting machine is reduced. In addition, the heat bonding function of the cover tape is made into two layers, a heat bonding layer and a coating layer. When the heat tape is overlapped on the carrier tape and heat sealed, the resin of the heat bonding layer is applied at the end of the heat seal type. No mention is made of penetrating and / or extruding the coating layer and heat sealing with the carrier tape. Furthermore, there is no mention or suggestion that the provision of the strong heat seal strength portion and the weak heat seal strength portion or the close contact portion reduces the zip-up phenomenon.

[0012]
(Carrier Tape) As a material of such a carrier tape 3, a material such as polyvinyl chloride, polystyrene, polyester, and polycarbonate, which can be easily formed into a sheet, can be generally used. These resins may be used alone, and / or a copolymer resin containing these as a main component, a mixture (including alloys), or a laminate composed of a plurality of layers. These sheets are preferably unstretched films because of their good moldability.
The thickness of the sheet is generally about 30 to 1000 μm, but is preferably 50 to 700 μm, and most preferably 80 to 300 μm. If the thickness is more than this, the moldability is poor, and if it is less than this, the strength is insufficient. If necessary, additives such as a filler, a plasticizer, a colorant, an antistatic agent, and a conductive agent may be added to the sheet.
[0013]
The sheet is formed by a molding method such as plastic press molding without heating by male and female molds, vacuum molding, air pressure molding, vacuum pressure molding with heating, or molding using these together with plug assist. . Polyvinyl chloride resins and polystyrene resins having good moldability are preferred. Any of the above can be applied to the carrier tape used in the present invention. The cover tape of the present invention is not limited to chip-type electronic components such as ICs, but also various solid or liquid components, foods, liquid crystal display components and liquid crystal products, medical-related articles such as syringes and pharmaceuticals, and automotive components. It may be used as a lid material for sealing a synthetic resin container for storing industrial parts and the like, or may be sealed with a bag, distributed, and stored.
[0014]
(Base Film Layer) As the
[0015]
The base film may be a copolymer resin containing these resins as a main component, or a mixture (including an alloy) or a laminate of a plurality of layers. The base film may be a stretched film or an unstretched film, but is preferably a film stretched in a uniaxial or biaxial direction for the purpose of improving strength. The thickness of the base film can be generally about 2.5 to 300 μm, preferably 6 to 100 μm, and most preferably 12 to 50 μm. If the thickness is more than this, the heat sealing temperature at the time of taping and packaging becomes high, and the cost is disadvantageous. If the thickness is less than this, the mechanical strength becomes insufficient.
[0016]
The substrate film is used as a film, sheet, or board made of at least one layer of these resins, and these shapes are collectively referred to as a film in this specification. Usually, a polyester film such as polyethylene terephthalate or polyethylene naphthalate is preferably used because of its good cost and good mechanical strength, and polyethylene terephthalate is most suitable. Prior to laminating the thermal adhesive layer, the base film is subjected to corona discharge treatment, plasma treatment, ozone treatment, flame treatment, primer (also called anchor coat, adhesion promoter, easy adhesive) coating treatment, An easy adhesion treatment such as heat treatment, dust removal treatment, vapor deposition treatment, alkali treatment, or the like may be performed. If necessary, additives such as a filler, a plasticizer, a colorant, and an antistatic agent may be added to the resin film.
[0017]
(Lamination Method of Thermal Adhesive Layer) Next, the
[0018]
(Dry lamination method) As a lamination method by a dry lamination method, a known dry lamination method or a non-solvent lamination method can be applied, and a curable adhesive that is cured by heat or ionizing radiation can be applied as an adhesive used in the lamination method. . As the thermosetting adhesive, specifically, a polyurethane-based resin, a polyester-based resin, a polyether-based resin, an acrylic-based resin, or a modified product thereof as a main component resin, and cured using isocyanates or amines Things can be applied. These are used as an adhesive composition by dissolving or dispersing a main component resin and a curing agent in an organic solvent. The adhesive composition is applied to the
[0019]
(Non-solvent lamination method) When a non-solvent lamination method is used as a lamination method, it is basically the same as the dry lamination method, but the adhesive composition is not dissolved or dispersed in an organic solvent, and the adhesive composition is used as it is. The adhesive composition is usually used because it has a high viscosity and is difficult to apply. Therefore, if necessary, the adhesive composition may be heated and used in order to reduce the viscosity. An adhesive that is cured by ionizing radiation such as ultraviolet rays and electron beams can also be used. As the ionizing radiation, ultraviolet (UV), visible light, gamma rays, X-rays, electron beams, or the like can be applied, and ultraviolet rays and electron beams are preferable. The adhesive precursor that is cured by ionizing radiation may be added with a photopolymerization initiator and / or a photopolymerization accelerator in the case of ultraviolet curing, and may not be added in the case of electron beam curing with high energy. If a catalyst is present, it can be cured with thermal energy.
[0020]
(Extrusion lamination method) The lamination method by the extrusion method is a method that those skilled in the art also call extrusion lamination (referred to as extrusion lamination method or polysand method), coextrusion lamination, or the like. In the extrusion lamination method, first, a person skilled in the art usually applies an adhesion promoter called an anchor coating agent to a
[0021]
Extrusion coating is a method known by those skilled in the art as extrusion coating (EC, referred to as extrusion coating) or co-extrusion coating (Co-EC). After applying and drying an adhesion promoter called an agent, the extruded resin is extruded and laminated. In this case, using the resin of the thermal bonding layer 15 (the extruded resin becomes the thermal bonding layer 15) as the extruded resin, it is heated and melted by an extruder and expanded and expanded in the required width direction by a T-die. And extrude it into a curtain. The curtain-shaped molten extruded resin is caused to flow down to the surface of the anchor coating agent on the
[0022]
Further, a co-extrusion lamination method in which a plurality of extruded resin layers are used may be used. In a so-called co-extrusion coating (Co-EC) method, first, a plurality of extruded resins are separately extruded by a plurality of extruders. The mixture is heated and melted, guided to a co-extrusion T-die, merged, expanded and stretched in a required width direction, and extruded into a curtain shape in which a plurality of resins are overlapped. Alternatively, there is a method in which each extruded resin layer is expanded and extended in a required width direction by a co-extrusion T die, and then a plurality of resins are overlapped when extruded in a curtain shape. The plurality of resin layers can have various configurations such as two types, two layers, three types, three layers, two types, three layers, and three types, five layers. Then, the resin surface opposite to the
[0023]
(Anchor coating agent) Examples of anchor coating agents for firmly adhering the extruded resin to the substrate film include organic titanium-based anchor coating agents such as alkyl titanates, isocyanate-based anchor coating agents, and polyethyleneimine-based anchors. Coating agents, polybutadiene-based anchor coating agents, and the like. The anchor coating agent may be applied and dried by a known coating method such as roll coating or gravure coating. The thickness of the anchor coating agent is usually about 0.01 to 10.0 μm, preferably 0.1 to 5.0 μm. Further, instead of the anchor coating agent, an easy adhesion treatment such as a corona discharge treatment, a plasma discharge treatment, and an ozone gas treatment may be performed.

Low density polyethylene (LDPE) is flexible but has poor mechanical strength. High density polyethylene (HDPE) has some mechanical strength but low tear strength. Linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) and metallocene LLDPE) are excellent in low-temperature heat sealability, hot tack, impact resistance, impact resistance, and tear strength. It has a tackiness due to crystallization, a reduction in melting point more than necessary, smoke during molding is suppressed, and it has an elastomeric performance. Therefore, as the
[0027]
(LLDPE) LLDPE is an ethylene-α-olefin copolymer produced with a Ziegler-type catalyst. The comonomer (α-olefin) constituting the LLDPE resin is an α-olefin having 3 or more carbon atoms, preferably 4 to 20 carbon atoms. Specific examples of the α-olefin include linear monoolefins such as propylene, 1-butene, 1-hexene, 1-octene, 1-nonene, 1-decene, 1-undecene and 1-dodecene, and 3-methyl. Branched chains such as -1-butene, 3-methyl-1-pentene, 4-methyl-1-pentene, 2-ethyl-1,2-ethyl-1-hexene and 2,2,4-trimethyl-1-pentene There are monoolefins and monoolefins substituted with an aromatic nucleus such as styrene. These may be used alone to copolymerize with ethylene, or two or more may be used in combination. When an α-olefin having 6 or more carbon atoms is used, the mechanical strength characteristics are improved, the impact resistance is improved, and the tear strength is significantly increased, which is more preferable.
[0028]
(Metallocene LLDPE) Linear low-density polyethylene (metallocene LLDPE) polymerized with a metallocene-based catalyst can control the molecular weight distribution narrowly, so that the stickiness and melting point are reduced more than necessary due to the low crystallization, and smoke during molding. Is suppressed, and the composition has an elastomeric performance. Examples of the metallocene catalyst include a single site catalyst (SSC) and a geometrically constrained catalyst (CGC). A metallocene-based catalyst is a general term for a catalyst having a cyclopentadienyl skeleton or at least one ligand coordinated to a tetravalent transition metal such as titanium, zirconium, nickel, palladium, hafnium, niobium, and platinum. It is. These polymerizations may be carried out using a catalyst system in which, for example, a methylaluminoxane or a boron compound is added as a co-catalyst, in addition to the metallocene-based catalyst containing a tetravalent transition metal. In this case, the ratio of these catalysts to the metallocene catalyst is preferably from 1 to 1,000,000 times.
[0029]
Metallocene LLDPE is a copolymer of ethylene and an olefin having 3 or more carbon atoms as a comonomer. Preferably, it is a copolymer of ethylene and a linear, branched or aromatic nucleus-substituted α-olefin having 3 to 18 carbon atoms.
Examples of the linear monoolefin include propylene, 1-butene, 1-pentene, 1-heptene, 1-hexene, 1-octene, 1-nonene, 1-decene, 1-undecene, 1-dodecene, and 1- Examples include tetradecene, 1-hexadecene, and 1-octadecene. Examples of the branched monoolefin include 3-methyl-1-butene, 3-methyl-1-pentene, 4-methyl-1-pentene, 2-ethyl-1,2-ethyl-1-hexene, 2,2,4 -Trimethyl-1-pentene and the like. Examples of the monoolefin substituted with an aromatic nucleus include styrene. Also, cyclopentene, cycloheptene, norbornene, 5-methyl-2-norbornene, tetracyclododecene, 2-
[0030]
These comonomers may be used alone or in combination of two or more to copolymerize with ethylene to form a copolymer. In the copolymerization, polyenes such as butadiene, isoprene, 1,4-hexadiene, dicyclopentadiene, and 5-ethylidene-2-norbornene may be copolymerized. The α-olefin content in the copolymer is 1 to 10 mol%, preferably 1.5 to 7 mol%.
[0031]
Although metallocene LLDPE is a non-crosslinked resin, the reason for its excellent flexibility is considered to be the presence of polymer chains (tie molecules) that bind the crystal parts together. The crosslinked rubber elastic body has a three-dimensional network structure between polymer molecules, not only at room temperature and at the time of molding. For this reason, although the flexibility is improved, the flowability is deteriorated. However, in the case of metallocene LLDPE, the polymer chains can move freely at the high molding temperature in the same manner as ordinary polyethylene, and as a result, the flowability is increased. Does not deteriorate sex. However, at around room temperature, at the same time as crystal growth, tie molecules are generated that bind polymer crystals together, resulting in the formation of a plastic with a pseudo-crosslinked structure, and improved flexibility due to improved rubber elasticity. it is conceivable that.

As the synthetic resin and / or the natural resin, a synthetic resin such as a thermosetting or thermoplastic resin, or a natural resin such as a cellulose resin can be used, and a thermoplastic resin is preferable. Examples of the thermoplastic resin usually used include ionomer resins, acid-modified polyolefin resins, ethylene- (meth) acrylic acid copolymers, ethylene- (meth) acrylate copolymers, polyester resins, and polyamide resins. Resin, vinyl resin, acrylic resin such as acrylic / methacrylic resin, acrylate resin, maleic resin, butyral resin, alkyd resin, polyethylene oxide resin, phenolic resin, urea resin, melamine resin, melamine Alkyd resins, cellulose resins, polyurethane resins, polyvinyl ether resins, silicone resins, rubber resins, and the like can be used. These thermoplastic resins can be used alone or in combination of two or more. In addition, from the dispersibility of the conductive fine particles and the adhesiveness to the carrier tape, an acrylic resin, a polyester resin, a polyurethane resin, a vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer, an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, Alternatively, a resin containing these as a main component is preferable.
[0037]
Normally, the innermost layer that comes into direct contact with electronic components has antistatic agents such as surfactants, conductive fine particles made of sulfides such as zinc sulfide, copper sulfide, cadmium sulfide, nickel sulfide, palladium sulfide, etc. Antistatic treatment is performed by kneading barium sulfate or metal oxides such as tin oxide, zinc oxide, indium oxide, and titanium oxide, conductive carbon fine particles, silicon organic compounds, or surface metal plating fine particles. Preferably, tin oxide-based, zinc oxide-based, indium oxide-based, titanium oxide-based metal oxide fine particles, conductive carbon fine particles, antistatic silicon organic compounds, or surface metal plated particles are suitable. As the metal oxide, tin oxide doped with antimony and indium oxide doped with tin are preferable. With a metal filler having a large particle diameter, the transparency of the cover tape is reduced, and it is difficult to externally check the stored electronic components. In addition, the surfactant has a humidity dependency, and does not have a sufficient antistatic effect under low humidity, and may break electronic components. Although the carbon fine particles and the surface metal plating particles are also opaque, they may be used in combination with fine particles having a small particle diameter, a small amount capable of maintaining transparency, or other transparent conductive fine particles. Such conductive fine particles preferably have an average primary particle diameter of 0.01 to 10 μm. As the shape of the conductive fine particles, a needle shape, a spherical shape, a scale shape, a square shape, and the like can be applied, and a needle shape is preferable from the viewpoint of transparency.
