Abstract
Description
【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a vehicle-mounted camera mounted on a windshield glass of an automobile, a so-called windshield, and more particularly to a camera cover that covers the vehicle-mounted camera.
[0002]
[Prior art]
2. Description of the Related Art A vehicle-mounted camera (hereinafter, simply referred to as a “camera”) mounted inside a vehicle and capturing an image of the front of the vehicle through a windshield glass is known. Conventionally, a general camera is barely attached to an inner surface of a windshield glass, and accordingly, depending on a shooting environment, an image of a dashboard, a vehicle interior light, or the like may appear.
[0003]
As a technique for reducing the above-mentioned reflection, a deflecting filter is arranged in front of the lens unit of the camera, and a specific reflected light (specifically, a dashboard) of the light from the inside of the vehicle incident on the inner surface of the windshield glass is used. Which is cut by a deflection filter (see JP-A-11-78737). However, according to this technique, only a part of the light that has entered and reflected on the inner surface of the windshield glass can be cut, so that reflection still occurs.
[0004]
Therefore, a camera cover for blocking incident light on the inner surface of the windshield glass has been conventionally proposed. Such a camera cover is intended to form a sealed light-shielding space at least between the camera lens and the windshield glass.
[0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, since the conventional camera cover is attached so that the edge of the opening does not form a gap with the inner surface of the windshield glass, when dew condensation occurs on the inner surface of the windshield glass, the defroster is operated. However, there is a problem that dew condensation on the inner surface of the windshield glass located inside the camera cover is not removed.
[0006]
The present invention has been made in view of such circumstances, and an object of the present invention is to provide a camera cover for preventing reflection on an inner surface of a windshield glass, which is capable of removing dew condensation.
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, the camera cover according to the present invention has an opening in a portion on the photographing view side of the vehicle-mounted camera, and the edge of the opening contacts the inner surface of the windshield glass. The air flow passage is formed so that the air flow from the defroster flows through the inside of the windshield glass while the edge surface is in contact with the inner surface of the windshield glass. In the present specification, the vehicle-mounted camera means a camera for capturing a still image, a video camera, and other imaging devices. The above-described camera cover has an air flow such that an air flow from a defroster flows inside the camera cover. Since the flow passage is formed, dew condensation on the inner surface of the windshield glass located inside the camera cover can be removed.
[0008]
It is conceivable to provide a cutout in a part of the edge of the opening of the camera cover as a communication port of the camera cover. In this case, it is preferable to form at least two notches, one of which is a flow port for inflow and the other is a flow port for outflow.
[0009]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. In this specification, the direction in which the vehicle travels straight ahead is defined as "forward", and terms such as "left" and "right" are used when looking "forward" from inside the vehicle.

【The invention's effect】
As described above, in the camera cover according to the present invention, the airflow of the defroster can be taken into the camera cover in a state where the edge end surface of the opening of the camera cover is in contact with the inner surface of the windshield glass. Thereby, it is possible to remove the dew condensation occurring on the inner surface of the windshield glass in the field of view of the vehicle-mounted camera. Therefore, the vehicle-mounted camera to which the camera cover is attached is capable of not only preventing the dashboard and the like from being reflected from the camera, but also capable of taking a good image of the front of the vehicle without dew condensation.
