Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.加工面を有する部分であってその凹部中にPCD或いはPCBNエレメン トを含むマシンツールにおいて、前記部分が円筒形のブランクであって、凹部が ブランクの頂部面中心から外方及び下方に拡がり、端壁、側壁及び底部により限 定され、前記エレメントがブランク材料と結合しツールの一部となることを特徴 とするマシンツール。 2.エレメントが粉末状のPCD或いはPCBN材料であり、ブランク中の凹 部に装入され、圧力をかけられ十分な程度まで加熱されてブランクがエレメント 中に浸出し、前記PCD或いはPCBN材料がブランクと実質的に融合して得ら れる請求の範囲第1項記載のマシンツール。 3.ブランクは次いでシャンクと結合され、前記エレメント材料の少なくとも 一部を含んでいる請求の範囲第1項記載のマシンツール。 4.マシンツールの一体的な部分である加工面の製造のためのブランクであっ て、第一及び第二端面を有する円筒形であるブランクにおいて、前記端面の一方 が、PCD或いはPCBN材料を受け入れ配置させるための凹部を有し、前記凹 部が、端壁、底部及び側壁により限定されるブランク。 5.凹部の長手軸線がブランク面の直径に実質的に沿っている請求の範囲第4 項記載のブランク。 6.凹部の側壁は端面の中心点から扇形に外方に拡がっている請求の範囲第4 項記載のブランク。 7.対になっている凹部側壁ブランクが前記面の中心点から外方に拡大してお り、夫々の対の、その垂直面に対する一方の壁の角度は他方のそれよりも大きく なるように形成されている請求の範囲第6項記載のブランク。 8.大きい方の角度の壁は、ブランクが加工面を有する時には除かれてPCD 或いはPCBNエレメントを露出させて加工面を形成する請求の範囲第7項記載 のブランク。 9.凹部に二対の側壁が設けられ、第一の対は狭い部分から半径方向外方の第 一方向に拡がり、第二の対は半径方向外方の第二の方向に拡がる請求の範囲第4 項〜第8項のいずれか記載のブランク。 10.第三の対が設けられ、三つの部分の凹部を形成するようにし、各部分が 120度の間隔をおいている請求の範囲第9項記載のブランク。 11.凹部底が、ブランクの中心であって凹部が一番浅い点から、一番深い点 である端壁方向に向かって下方に傾斜した形で形成される請求の範囲第4項記載 のブランク。 12.いくつかの凹部がブランクの所定位置に、加工面に対応して形成されて いる請求の範囲第4項記載のブランク。 13.凹部の端壁がブランク本体の側壁に、これを越えないように隣接しかく してPCD或いはPCBNエレメントが使用される凹部を形成するほか、凹部は 、また、PCD或いはPCBN粉末が加圧、加熱されて凹部の形にされるための モールドの役割もなす請求の範囲第4項〜第12項のいずれか記載のブランク。 14.側壁の少なくとも一部には段差が設けられている請求の範囲第4項記載 のブランク。 15.平面図で見た場合、扇形部分夫々の実質的に大きい方の部分は、中心部 から外方へ向かう長手軸線の一方側に偏っている請求の範囲第4項記載のブラン ク。 16.複数のPCD或いはPCBNエレメントが形成されている請求の範囲第 4項記載のブランク。 17.マシンツールのためのブランクの製造方法であって、円筒形でありその 第一及び第二端面の少なくとも一つが端壁、側壁及び底部で限定される凹部を有 するブランクを形成し、凹部の少なくとも一部にPCD或いはPCBN材料粉末 を充填し、遷移元素を適用し、PCD或いはPCBN材料に圧力を加えかつブラ ンクと前記材料とを加熱して、前記材料がブランクと融合するエレメントを形成 する工程を含む方法。 18.遷移元素がコバルトであり、加熱されると炭化物ブランクからPCD或 いはPCBN材料中に浸出する請求の範囲第17項記載の方法。 19.遷移元素物質をPCD或いはPCBN材料と混合するか、或いは挿入体 として、PCD或いはPCBN材料、もしくはこれらの方法の組み合わせにより 供給する請求の範囲第17項記載の方法。 20.中にPCD或いはPCBNエレメントを有するブランクをシャンクと結 合してツールを形成し、次いでツールを加工して加工面を形成する工程を含み、 前記加工面は少なくとも一部に露出したエレメント材料からなる請求の範囲第1 7項記載の方法。 21.エレメントの頂部面が製造されるツールの先端角度に対応している請求 の範囲第17項〜第20項のいずれか記載の方法。 22.ブランクは一旦成形されると、ろう付け法によりシャンクと結合してマ シンツールを作る請求の範囲第20項記載の方法。 23.ろう付け工程において、ブランクとPCD或いはPCBNエレメント構 造の損傷を避けるためヒートシンクを用いる請求の範囲第22項記載の方法。
