Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.体内管腔を支えるためのステントであって、このステントは、 複数の巻きと第1および第2の自由端とをもつ螺旋状メッシュコイルを有し、 上記ステントは、最小の収縮した送出し直径を有し、上記各巻きは、実質上矩形 の断面と、上記ステントの最小の収縮した送出し直径と少なくとも同じ幅とを有 し、上記螺旋状メッシュコイルは、複数の穴からなる格子を有するとともに、 上記螺旋状メッシュコイルは、収縮した状態で上記体内管腔内の所定位置に管 腔を通って送り出され、拡張した状態で上記体内管腔を支えることを特徴とする ステント。 2.請求項1に記載のステントにおいて、上記螺旋状メッシュコイルは、上記ス テントが展開されたとき、上記複数の巻きの間に隙間ができるのを防ぐに十分な ピッチを有することを特徴とするステント。 3.請求項2に記載のステントにおいて、上記螺旋状メッシュコイルの巻きの幾 つかは、上記ステントが収縮状態へ巻かれるとき、互いに入れ子式に嵌り込むこ とを特徴とするステント。 4.請求項1に記載のステントにおいて、上記複数の穴の幾つかは、多角形およ び円のうちから選ばれた形状を有することを特徴とするステント。 5.請求項4に記載のステントにおいて、上記複数の穴は、上記ステントが上記 体内管腔の内膜に埋まり込むのを助けることを特徴とするステント。 6.請求項5に記載のステントにおいて、複数のバーをさらに備え、この複数の バーは、上記ステントが上記体内管腔内で展開した後に収縮に抵抗するように、 このステントにラチェット効果を与えることを特徴とするステント。 7.請求項6に記載のステントにおいて、上記複数のバーは、上記複数の穴と一 体に形成されていることを特徴とするステント。 8.請求項1に記載のステントにおいて、上記第1および第2の自由端は、上記 螺旋状メッシュコイルの隣り合う巻きに優先的に重なるタブを有し、これによっ て、上記自由端を体内管腔の壁に接して固定することを特徴とするステント。 9.請求項1に記載のステントにおいて、上記ステントは、超弾性状態にある Ti-Ni合金からなることを特徴とするステント。 10.請求項9に記載のステントにおいて、上記ステントは、1.0〜5.0ミルの厚 さをもつ条片から形成されることを特徴とするステント。 11.体内管腔を支えるためのステントであって、このステントは、 複数の巻きと、第1および第2の自由端と、最小の収縮した送出し直径と、所 定の厚さと、複数の巻きとをもつ螺旋状メッシュコイルを有し、上記各巻きは、 実質上矩形の断面と、上記ステントの最小の収縮した送出し直径と少なくとも同 じ幅とを有し、上記螺旋状メッシュコイルは、複数の穴からなる格子を有すると ともに、 上記ステントは、上記体内管腔を通って送り出されるに適した収縮した状態と 、拡張する円周の範囲から選ばれた或る円周に展開したとき、上記体内管腔を支 える拡張した状態とを有することを特徴とするステント。 12.請求項11に記載のステントにおいて、上記螺旋状メッシュコイルは、上 記ステントが展開されたとき、上記複数の巻きの間に隙間ができるのを防ぐに十 分なピッチを有することを特徴とするステント。 13.請求項12に記載のステントにおいて、上記螺旋状メッシュコイルの巻き の幾つかは、上記ステントが収縮状態へ巻かれるとき、互いに入れ子式に嵌り込 むことを特徴とするステント。 14.請求項11に記載のステントにおいて、上記複数の穴の幾つかは、多角形 および円のうちから選ばれた形状を有することを特徴とするステント。 15.請求項14に記載のステントにおいて、上記複数の穴は、上記ステントが 上記体内管腔の内膜に埋まり込むのを助けることを特徴とするステント。 16.請求項15に記載のステントにおいて、複数のバーをさらに備え、この複 数のバーは、上記ステントが上記体内管腔内で展開した後に収縮に抵抗するよう に、このステントにラチェット効果を与えることを特徴とするステント。 17.請求項16に記載のステントにおいて、上記複数のバーは、上記複数の穴 と一体に形成されていることを特徴とするステント。 18.請求項11に記載のステントにおいて、上記第1および第2の自由端は、 上記螺旋状メッシュコイルの隣り合う巻きに優先的に重なるタブを有し、これに よって、上記自由端を体内管腔の壁に接して固定することを特徴とするステント 。 19.請求項1に記載のステントにおいて、上記ステントは、超弾性状態にある Ti-Ni合金からなることを特徴とするステント。 20.請求項19に記載のステントにおいて、上記ステントは、1.0〜5.0ミルの 厚さをもつ条片から形成されることを特徴とするステント。 21.請求項11に記載のステントにおいて、上記ステントは、1.0〜5.0ミルの 厚さをもつ条片から形成されることを特徴とするステント。 22.体内管腔を支えるための方法であって、この方法は、 複数の巻きと、第1および第2の自由端と、最小の収縮した送出し直径と、複 数の巻きとをもつ螺旋状メッシュコイルを有するステントであって、上記各巻き は、上記ステントの最小の収縮した送出し直径と少なくとも同じ幅とを有し、上 記螺旋状メッシュコイルは、複数の穴からなる格子を有するようなステントを供 給するステップと、 上記ステントを直径が減少した収縮した状態に巻き、このステントを収縮した状 態に維持しつつ、上記体内管腔内の所望の箇所にこの体内管腔を経て挿入するス テップと、 上記第1の自由端の近傍のステント部分を収縮状態から解放するステップと、 上記ステント部分を上記体内管腔の壁内面に接して捕らえるステップと、 上記ステントを収縮状態から解放して、上記捕らえられたステント部分が軸方 向変位を実質上生じないように、上記ステントを上記体内管腔の形状に一致させ るように拡張させるステップと、 上記ステントを機械的拡張装置を用いて拡張させて、このステントが上記機械 的拡張装置の形状に一致して上記体内管腔の壁内に埋め込まれるようにするステ ップと、 上記機械的拡張装置を取り除くステップとを備えたことを特徴とする方法。 23.請求項22に記載の方法において、上記ステントを展開する前に拡張装置 を用いて上記体内管腔を拡張させるステップを更に備えたことを特徴とする方法 。 24.請求項22に記載の方法において、上記ステントを埋め込むステップは、 上記ステントを上記体内管腔の壁に押し付けて、この壁の内膜が上記複数の穴を 貫いて突出するようにすることを特徴とする方法。 25.請求項22に記載の方法において、上記ステントを供給するステップは、 複数のバーをもつステントを供給するステップと、上記複数のバーを上記体内管 腔の壁に噛み合わせて埋め込むステップとを更に備えることを特徴とする方法。
