Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.共同回転ロール(9)で支えられた移動するペーパーウェブ(7)上にコーティ ング組成物を制御しながら塗布し、平らにならすコーティング・ブレード(5)で あって、このブレード(5)が、第1および第2の縁部分の間で第1の方向に細長 いスチール・ストリップ(13)を包含し、第1の縁部分が、ペーパーウェブ(7) に係合し、ブレードの寿命を延ばす耐摩滅摩耗性コーティングまたは付着層(1 5)を備えているコーティング・ブレードにおいて、付着層(15)とスチール・ ストリップ(13)との間に位置する中間層(17)を包含し、この中間層(17)が 付着層(15)よりも高い耐摩滅摩耗性を有することを特徴とするコーティング・ ブレード。 2.中間層(17)が、金属炭化物、ホウ化物、窒化物およびそれの複合物から選 んだ材料からなり、金属炭化物は場合により金属マトリックス内に埋め込まれて いることを特徴とする請求項1記載のコーティング・ブレード。 3.中間層(17)が、ブレードの先端で、約50μmから約150μmの範囲内の厚さ を有することを特徴とする請求項1または2記載のコーティング・ブレード。 4.中間層(17)が、炭化物と金属とからなるサーメットであることを特徴とす る請求項1〜3のいずれか一項記載のコーティング・ブレード。 5.中間層(17)が、付着層の耐摩滅摩耗性の2〜6倍も高い耐摩滅摩耗性を有 する材料によって構成してあることを特徴とする請求項4記載のコーティング・ ブレード。 6.中間層(17)が、クロム炭化物およびCr−Niによって構成してあることを特 徴とする請求項5記載のコーティング・ブレード。 7.付着層(15)が、金属酸化物によって構成してあることを特徴とする請求項 1〜6のいずれか一項記載のコーティング・ブレード。 8.付着層(15)が、実質的にアルミナからなることを特徴とする請求項7記載 のコーティング・ブレード。 9.付着層(15)が、アルミナと或る量の別の金属酸化物によって構成してある ことを特徴とする請求項8記載のコーティング・ブレード。 10.別の金属酸化物が、酸化ジルコニウムであることを特徴とする請求項9記載 のコーティング・ブレード。 11.付着層(15)が、約0.1〜約1.0mm、たとえば、約0.2〜約0.5mmの厚さを有し 、第1の方向に対して直角の第2の方向においてスチール・ストリップの平面に おける幅が約4〜約12mmであることを特徴とする請求項1〜10のいずれか一項 記載のコーティング・ブレード。 12.中間層(17)が約50〜約150μmの厚さを有することを特徴とする請求項11 記載のコーティング・ブレード。 13.スチール・ストリップが、約0.3〜約0.6mmの厚さを有することを特徴とする 請求項11または12記載のコーティング・ブレード。 14.中間層(17)が、第2の方向において付着層の幅を超えない幅を有すること を特徴とする請求項1〜13のいずれか一項記載のコーティング・ブレード。
