Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.野生型AGPポリペプチドに比較して高い熱安定性を示す変異AGPポリペプチ ドをコードするポリヌクレオチドまたはその断片もしくは変異体。 2.それによってコードされる変異ポリペプチドが、植物のAGPポリペプチドで ある、請求項1記載のポリヌクレオチド。 3.それによってコードされる変異ポリペプチドが、該ポリペプチドの大サブ ユニットにおけるアミノ酸変異を含む、請求項1記載のポリヌクレオチド。 4.それによってコードされる変異ポリペプチドが、小サブユニットにおける アミノ酸変異を含む、請求項1記載のポリヌクレオチド。 5.それによってコードされる変異ポリペプチドが、該ポリペプチドのアミノ 酸配列の333位のヒスチジン残基を、該ポリペプチドに熱安定性を付与するアミ ノ酸で置換するアミノ酸変異を含む、請求項3記載のポリヌクレオチド。 6.333位の残基に位置するヒスチジンに代わるアミノ酸がチロシンである、請 求項5記載のポリヌクレオチド。 7.それによってコードされる変異ポリペプチドが、該ポリペプチドのアミノ 酸配列の177位のアラニン残基を、該ポリペプチドに熱安定性を付与するアミノ 酸で置換するアミノ酸変異を含む、請求項3記載のポリヌクレオチド。 8.177位の残基に位置するアラニンに代わるアミノ酸がプロリンである、請求 項7記載のポリヌクレオチド。 9.それによってコードされる変異ポリペプチドが、該ポリペプチドのアミノ 酸配列の400位のアスパラギン酸残基を、該ポリペプチドに熱安定性を付与する アミノ酸で置換するアミノ酸変異を含む、請求項3記載のポリヌクレオチド。 10.400位の残基に位置するアスパラギン酸に代わるアミノ酸がヒスチジンで ある、請求項9記載のポリヌクレオチド。 11.それによってコードされる変異ポリペプチドが、該ポリペプチドのアミノ 酸配列の454位のバリン残基を、該ポリペプチドに熱安定性を付与するアミノ酸 で置換するアミノ酸変異を含む、請求項3記載のポリヌクレオチド。 12.454位の残基に位置するバリンに代わるアミノ酸がイソロイシンである、 請求項11記載のポリヌクレオチド。 13.それによってコードされる変異ポリペプチドが、該ポリペプチドのアミノ 酸配列の104位のアルギニン残基を、該ポリペプチドに熱安定性を付与するアミ ノ酸で置換するアミノ酸変異を含む、請求項3記載のポリヌクレオチド。 14.104位の残基に位置するアルギニンに代わるアミノ酸がスレオニンである 、請求項13記載のポリヌクレオチド。 15.それによってコードされる変異ポリペプチドが、該ポリペプチドのアミノ 酸配列の460位のスレオニン残基を、該ポリペプチドに熱安定性を付与するアミ ノ酸で置換するアミノ酸変異を含む、請求項3記載のポリヌクレオチド。 16.460位の残基に位置するスレオニンに代わるアミノ酸がイソロイシンであ る、請求項15記載のポリヌクレオチド。 17.それによってコードされる変異ポリペプチドが、該ポリペプチドのアミノ 酸配列の216位のアルギニン残基を、該ポリペプチドに熱安定性を付与するアミ ノ酸で置換するアミノ酸変異を含む、請求項3記載のポリヌクレオチド。 18.216位の残基に位置するアルギニンに代わるアミノ酸がプロリンである、 請求項17記載のポリヌクレオチド。 19.植物の熱耐性を高めるための方法において、請求項1記載のポリヌクレオ チドを該植物のゲノム中に組込む段階、および該ポリヌクレオチド分子にコード されるタンパク質を発現させる段階を含む方法。 20.植物がトウモロコシ(Zea mays)である、請求項19記載の方法。 21.請求項1記載のポリヌクレオチド分子を発現する植物。 22.トウモロコシ(Zea mays)である、請求項21記載の植物。 23.請求項1記載のポリヌクレオチド分子を組織のゲノム中に含む植物組織。 24.植物の種子がトウモロコシ(Zea mays)によって産生される、請求項23記 載の植物組織。 25.種子である、請求項23記載の植物組織。 26.請求項1のポリヌクレオチドによってコードされる変異AGPポリペプチド。 27.請求項1記載のポリヌクレオチドであって、それによってコードされる変 異ポリペプチドが、該ポリヌクレオチドを発現する植物に種子重量の増加をもた らすアミノ酸変異をさらに含むポリヌクレオチド。
