Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.複数のゾーン内でシロアリを監視するためのシステムであって、 前記ゾーンのそれぞれにおける配置に適合した少なくとも1つのシロアリセン サと、 別のゾーン内のシロアリセンサとは無関係に、各ゾーンの前記シロアリセンサ のうちの少なくとも1つと連絡するデータ収集装置であって、他のゾーンとは無 関係に前記ゾーンのどれかにおけるシロアリの存在を登録することができる前記 データ収集装置と を備えるシステム。 2.シロアリの存在に関係するデータを検索するために遠隔地に形成された前記 データ収集装置と通信するためのホストプロセッサをさらに備えることを特徴と する請求項1に記載のシロアリを監視するためのシステム。 3.前記シロアリセンサのそれぞれが、シロアリが食べることができる物質から 作られる少なくとも1つの監視ブロックと、少なくとも1つの監視ブロックに近 接して配置されるかまたは、その中に埋め込まれる電気的な導体とを含み、 前記導体は、シロアリが食べることにより破壊可能な物質から作られ、シロア リが食べて電気的な導体を破壊するときには連続電気ブリッジ回路が破壊される ように、連続電気ブリッジ回路を形成することを特徴とする請求項2に記載のシ ロアリを監視するためのシステム。 4.前記データ収集装置は、前記データ収集装置と前記ゾーンとの間に独立して 伸びるケーブルを通して、各ゾーン内の少なくとも1つのシロアリセンサと通信 することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のシロアリを監視するためのシステム。 5.前記データ収集装置は、前記センサのそれぞれにおける前記連続ブリッジ回 路の電気完全性を決定するために、前記ゾーンのそれぞれの回路特性を登録する ことを特徴とする請求項3に記載のシロアリを監視するためのシステム。 6.前記少なくとも1つの監視ブロックが、監視ステーションハウジング内に受 け入れられるように適応していることを特徴とする請求項3に記載のシロアリを 監視するためのシステム。 7.前記監視ステーションハウジングは、少なくとも1つのシロアリ開口部を備 え、それによって前記監視ブロックおよび前記電気的な導体へのアクセスをシロ アリに提供することを特徴とする請求項6に記載のシロアリを監視するためのシ ステム。 8.前記少なくとも1つの監視ブロックが、前記監視ステーションハウジングの 取外し可能な蓋に取り付けられるように適応することを特徴とする請求項6に記 載のシロアリを監視するためのシステム。 9.前記監視ステーションハウジングの前記蓋の底部部分が、前記少なくとも1 つの監視ブロックを受け入れる ために電気的に絶縁された導電性クリッブを含み、前記導電性クリップは、前記 導体の各端と一直線になり、前記蓋の上部部分に配置される端子と電気的に接続 されることを特徴とする請求項8に記載のシロアリを監視するためのシステム。 10.前記データ収集装置は、前記データ収集装置と前記ゾーンとの間の独立し た無線リンクを通して、前記少なくとも1つのシロアリセンサと通信することを 特徴とする請求項3に記載のシロアリを監視するためのシステム。 11.前記電気的な導体が、監視ブロックの表面上で10ミクロンより小さい銀 粒子の電気的な導線を備えることを特徴とする請求項3に記載のシロアリを監視 するためのシステム。 12.監視ブロックが合成樹脂により包まれることを特徴とする請求項11に記 載のシロアリを監視するためのシステム。 13.複数のゾーンでシロアリを監視するための方法であって、 前記ゾーンのそれぞれに少なくとも1つのシロアリセンサを配置するステップ と、 他のゾーンとは独立して前記ゾーンのいずれかにおけるシロアリの存在を登録 するように構成されたデータ収集装置を使用して、各ゾーン内の前記少なくとも 1つのシロアリセンサとの通信を確立するステップと を含むことを特徴とする方法。 14.シロアリの存在に関するデータを検索するために、遠隔地からホストプロ セッサを通して前記データ収集装置と通信するステップをさらに含むことを特徴 とする請求項13に記載のシロアリを監視するための方法。 15.前記シロアリセンサのそれぞれが、シロアリが食べることができる物質か ら作られる少なくとも1つの監視ブロックと、少なくとも1つの監視ブロックに 近接して配置されるかまたは、その中に埋め込まれる電気的な導体とを含み、 前記導体は、シロアリが食べることにより破壊可能な物質から作られ、シロア リが食べて電気的な導体を破壊するときには連続電気ブリッジ回路が破壊される ように、連続電気ブリッジ回路を形成することを特徴とする請求項14に記載の シロアリを監視するための方法。 16.前記データ収集装置と前記ゾーンとの間で独立して伸びるケーブルを通し て、各ゾーン内の前記少なくとも1つのシロアリセンサと前記データ収集装置と が通信するステップを含むことを特徴とする請求項14に記載のシロアリを監視 するための方法。 17.前記センサのそれぞれで前記連続ブリッジ回路の電気的な完全性を決定す るために、前記ゾーンのそれぞれの回路特性を使用して、前記データ収集装置を 登録するステップを含むことを特徴とする請求項15に記載のシロアリを監視す るための方法。 18.前記少なくとも1つの監視ブロックは、監視ステーションハウジング内に 受け入れられるように適応することを特徴とする請求項15に記載のシロアリを 監視するための方法。 19.前記監視ステーションハウジングは、少なくとも1つのシロアリ開口部を 備え、それによって前記監視ブロックおよび前記電気的な導体へのアクセスをシ ロアリに提供することを特徴とする請求項18に記載のシロアリを監視するため の方法。 20.前記少なくとも1つの監視ブロックは、前記監視ステーションハウジング の取外し可能な蓋に取り付けられるように適応していることを特徴とする請求項 18に記載のシロアリを監視するための方法。 21.前記監視ステーションハウジングの前記蓋の底部部分が、前記少なくとも 1つの監視ブロックを受け入れるために電気的に絶縁された導電性クリップを含 み、前記導電性クリップは、前記導体の各端と一直線になり、前記蓋の上部部分 に配置される端子と電気的に接続されることを特徴とする請求項20に記載のシ ロアリを監視するための方法。 22.前記データ収集装置と前記ゾーンとの間の独立した無線リンクを通して、 各ゾーン内の前記少なくとも1つのシロアリセンサと前記データ処理装置との通 信をするステップを含むことを特徴とする請求項15に記載のシロアリを監視す るための方法。 23.前記電気的な導体が、監視ブロックの表面上で10ミクロンより小さい銀 粒子の電気的な導線を備えることを特徴とする請求項15に記載のシロアリを監 視するためのシステム。 24.監視ブロックが合成樹脂により包まれることを特徴とする請求項23に記 載のシロアリを監視するためのシステム。
