Abstract

(57)【要約】 【課題】 改良された保護眼鏡構造、および、軟質な材
質が顔へのショックを吸収する機能を有する保護眼鏡構
造を提供する。 【解決手段】保護眼鏡の構造は、単一モールド内で２シ
ョット工程によって作られる単一構造１２を含み、その
単一構造は、ノーズ片１２Ｃを有する軟質部分１２Ｂに
接着された外側の硬質部分１２Ａと、着用者の鼻にあわ
せるためのフレキシブルな突起１２Ｄが形成されている
内側の軟質部分１２Ｂと、を有する。このような単位構
造を有することにより、容易に取り替え可能な透明レン
ズ構造を確実に収容し、ノーズ片を要求された位置に保
持し、着用者の快適に密着し、透明レンズ構造およびに
かかる力によって生じる衝撃に対する適切な保護および
風通しを提供することが可能になる。

Description

【発明の詳細な説明】
【０００１】
【発明の属する技術分野】本発明は、保護眼鏡の単位構
造およびその製造方法に関し、特に快適に目の保護する
ために有用な新しい保護眼鏡の単位構造およびその製造
方法に関する。

【従来の技術】関連する従来の技術には、例えば米国特
許第５，４５７，５０５号がある。この公報には、目を
カバーする部材の構造が記載されている。また、単一モ
ールド内で、２ショット工程によって作られる幾つかの
構成を含む、ナイキスポーツグラスのように商業的に有
用なスポーツグラスもある。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】本発明の重要な目的
は、改良された保護眼鏡構造を提供することである。加
えて、軟質な材質が顔へのショックを吸収する機能を有
する保護眼鏡構造を提供することである。
【０００４】
【課題を解決するための手段】本発明によれば、保護眼
鏡の単位構造は、単一モールド内で２ショット工程によ
って作られる単位構造であって、その単位構造は、内側
の軟質部分に化学的に接着され、着用者の眉にソフトに
掛かるようにされた眉部と着用者の鼻にソフトに掛かる
ようにされたノーズ部とで形成された外側の硬質部分
と、を有しており、硬質の眉部及びノーズ部はテンプル
フレーム片につながっている。硬質の眉部には、着用者
の目を覆うのに適した透明なレンズ構造とともに、硬質
のラチェット式調節機構と係合するようになっている。
本発明による眼鏡は、硬質の眉部内に位置するレンズ部
と、眉部の硬質な端部内に着座するテンプル片とを含ん
でいる。本発明の特徴は、着用者の鼻上の適切な位置に
めがねを保持している状態で快適に着用者の鼻にあたる
可撓性のフィンガー状突起を有するノーズ片を形成して
いることであり、各突起の長さはノーズ片の長さより際
立って短く、各突起の間の空間は実質的に突起の厚さに
相当し、突起の長さは各ノーズ片の中心から両端に向か
って徐々に減少している。突起は、さまざまな鼻の大き
さや形状に応じて湾曲することによる調節機能を備えて
いる。

【発明の実施の形態】図面を参照すると、図１は、本発
明の保護眼鏡の構造の斜視図である。保護眼鏡の構造
は、単一モールド内で２ショット工程によって作られる
単一構造１２を含み、その単一構造は、ノーズ片１２Ｃ
を有する軟質部分１２Ｂに接着された外側の硬質部分１
２Ａと、着用者の鼻にあわせるためのフレキシブルな突
起１２Ｄが形成されている内側の軟質部分１２Ｂと、を
有する。透明なレンズ部１３は外側の硬質部分１２Ａ内
に着座している。１ショットのテンプル片１４Ａ及び１
５Ａもまた、外側の硬質部分１２Ａの端部１２Ｅ及び１
２Ｆ内に着座している。テンプルは、長さを調節するこ
とができるという特徴を有している。１２Ｈおよび１２
Ｉは、顔の上で快適にフィットするようにレンズ角度を
調節するためのラチェット式調節機構である。２ショッ
トのテンプル片１４及び１５は、硬質部分１２Ａの端部
１２Ｅ及び１２Ｆに着座する。硬質部分１２Ａには、レ
ンズ部１３の側面で空気が垂直に循環することができる
ように４つの溝１２Ｇが形成されている。
【０００６】図２は、図１に示した実施形態に係る保護
眼鏡の単位構造の正面図である。図３（Ａ）は内側の軟
質部分側からみた単位構造の斜視図であり、図３（Ｂ）
は外側の硬質部分側からみた単位構造の斜視図である。
【０００７】図４は、透明レンズ１３の斜視図である。
図５は、テンプル片１４及び１５の構成要素の斜視図で
ある。テンプル片は、実質的に、上述した米国特許５，
４５７，５０５号に示された形状である。
【０００８】本発明は、数々の利点を有している。内側
の軟質部分が外側の硬質部分に化学的に接着された状態
で単一モールド内で２ショット工程により製造された単
位構造を有するということは、容易に取り替え可能な透
明レンズ構造を確実に収容し、ノーズ片を要求された位
置に保持し、着用者の快適に密着し、透明レンズ構造お
よびにかかる力によって生じる衝撃に対する適切な保護
および風通しを提供することを可能にするという、要求
された特徴を保持できる構造を作り上げることになる。
ノーズ片のフィンガー状突起構造は、保護眼鏡の構造を
要求された位置へ保持する状態で着用者の鼻に快適に掛
かる。この構造は、また、上述した米国特許第５，４５
７，５０５号に記載されているように、様々な着用者に
調節できるようにテンプル片を枢動可能かつ伸長可能な
状態で収容することを可能とする。ラチェット式調節機
構は、快適にフィットするように、顔の上でレンズ位置
を調節することができる。製造コストは、このような優
れた構造を提供するものとしては相対的に低い。
【０００９】軟質部分に適切な物質は適当な硬度を有す
るエラストマーであり、硬質部分に適切な物質はポリカ
ーボネート、ポリオレフィンおよびナイロンである。当
業者が、多様な実施をし、及び、発明の概念から外れる
ことなく、上述した特別な装置及び技術の改良もしくは
そのような装置及び技術からの出発が可能となることは
明白である。従って、本発明は、すべての新しい特徴、
及び、ここに開示され又は追加のクレームの意図あるい
は目的によって限定された装置や技術に含まれる特徴
の、新たな組み合わせを達成するものとして解釈され
る。

Claims (8)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項１】 着用者の眉および鼻に掛かる内側の軟質
    部分と、透明レンズ部及びテンプル片を支持する外側の
    硬質部分とから構成され、前記軟質部分を前記硬質部分
    へ化学的に接着させる単一モールド内で、２ショット工
    程により形成されることを特徴とする保護眼鏡の単位構
    造。
  2. 【請求項２】 請求項１記載の保護眼鏡の単位構造であ
    って、ノーズ片を有し、該ノーズ片の軟質部分に、着用
    者の鼻に掛かる複数の可撓性のフィンガー状突起が設け
    られていることを特徴とする単位構造。
  3. 【請求項３】 請求項１記載の保護眼鏡の単位構造であ
    って、更に、前記硬質部分に分離できるように固定さ
    れ、前記眉部に垂れ下がっている透明レンズ部を備える
    ことを特徴とする単位構造。
  4. 【請求項４】 請求項２記載の保護眼鏡の単位構造であ
    って、更に、前記硬質部分に分離できるように固定さ
    れ、前記眉部に垂れ下がっている透明レンズ部を備える
    ことを特徴とする単位構造。
  5. 【請求項５】 請求項１記載の保護眼鏡の単位構造であ
    って、更に、前記硬質部分の端部に接続されるテンプル
    片を備えることを特徴とする単位構造。
  6. 【請求項６】 請求項２記載の保護眼鏡の単位構造であ
    って、前記レンズ部は、前記レンズ部の内側面と前記単
    位構造の間に一連の垂直な通気領域を形成するように配
    設されることを特徴とする単位構造。
  7. 【請求項７】 請求項１記載の保護眼鏡の単位構造の製
    造方法であって、単一のモールド内で、前記外側の硬質
    部分を形成する第１の硬質部材を前記内側の軟質部分を
    形成する第２の軟質部材に化学的に接着する２ショット
    工程を用いる方法。
  8. 【請求項８】 請求項７記載の保護眼鏡の単位構造の製
    造方法であって、前記第１の硬質部材はポリカーボネイ
    ト、ポリオレフィン及びナイロンからなるグループから
    作られ、前記第２の軟質部材は熱可塑性エラストマーか
    らなるグループから作られることを特徴とする方法。
