Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a coin in which a change is made in a base pattern on a surface of a coil by the three-dimensional carv ing, the brightness of the coin is increased, and the decorative value or the amusement value of the coin is improved. SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method of the coin used in an amusement center, a simultaneous three-axis NC control milling machine 9 capable of achieving the cutting in the thickness direction of a die 2 and a diagonal direction at an arbitrary angle is moved on the surface of the die 2 for pressing the coin to give the pattern on the surface thereof while repeating the cutting direction and the depth in a predetermined pattern, and by repeating this operation over the entire surface of the die 2, a three-dimensional geometrical pattern is obtained on the surface of the obtained coin.

FIG. 7 shows a mold 2 used for manufacturing coins.
And the pattern of characters and the like on the surface of the coin 3 are described. The convex portion 4 which has a convex shape in cross section, which is a character represented on the surface of the coin 3, corresponds to the portion carved into a concave shape in the mold 2. Then, a portion which emerges on the surface of the coin 3 with respect to the press die 2 is dug in the thickness direction by a plane engraving machine 5 for performing the operation.

In the case of a cutting tool such as the plane engraving machine 5 that cuts only in the thickness direction, the portion of the cut character and the like and the portion that has not been cut are finished with a flat surface, so that the color of the metal remains unchanged. However, the flat portion (cross section of the mold 2) on which the mold 2 is not cut is irregularly and finely ground with an electric discharge machine to perform so-called pear ground finishing, The part corresponding to the convex part 4 (the mold 2

According to one aspect of the present invention, there is provided a method of manufacturing a coin used in an amusement arcade, wherein the coin is pressed to display a pattern on the surface. A simultaneous triaxial NC milling machine capable of cutting in the thickness direction of the mold and in the oblique direction at an arbitrary angle is moved over the surface of the mold while repeating the cutting direction and depth in a fixed pattern. This is a coin manufacturing method in which a three-dimensional geometric pattern is obtained on the surface of the obtained coin by repeating this process over the entire mold surface.

According to the first aspect of the present invention, a simultaneous three-axis control NC milling machine in which the cutting direction and the cutting depth can be arbitrarily changed is not used for figures such as persons, animals and plants drawn on a coin surface, but is used for gold. By repeating the pattern in a fixed pattern on the surface of the mold, a new ground pattern consisting of a three-dimensional geometric pattern that does not rely on mirror finish or pear finish is drawn on the bullion part of the coin, increasing the decoration value of the coin To enhance.

The simultaneous three-axis control NC used in the first aspect of the present invention.
If a portion corresponding to a pattern such as a character or a figure protruding on the surface of the coin is cut into a V-groove shape using a milling machine, the portion of the character or the like on the surface of the coin obtained has a slope from the side edge. As compared to what is engraved by a plane engraving machine, the surface area of the pattern part increases and the light reflection surface increases, and the side edges of the characters and the like that have emerged are shadows due to the rising of the convex parts. Since it does not occur, the brightness increases, and at the same time, light is reflected at various angles because the inclined surface is oriented in various directions depending on the pattern of characters, figures, and the like.
