Abstract
Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1. (a)有機基材を、 複数の可融性有機バインダー粒子と、 複数の研磨粒子と、 を含む乾燥した微粒子材料と接触させることと、 (b)前記有機バインダー粒子を液化させて、前記研磨粒子が中に分散 された流動性の液体バインダーを提供することと、 (c)前記流動性の液体バインダーを凝固させ、前記研磨粒子を前記基 材に接着させて、研磨製品を提供することと、 を含む、研磨製品を製作する方法。 2.前記有機基材が有機繊維の目の粗いロフティ不織ウェブであり、且つ前記 液体バインダーおよび前記研磨粒子が前記ウェブの前記繊維に沿つて分散される 、請求項1に記載の方法。 3.前記可融性有機バインダー粒子が前記乾燥した微粒子材料の総重量の90 〜15重量%含まれ、前記バインダー粒子が温度活性化熱硬化性材料および温度 活性化熱可塑性材料から成る群から選択される、請求項2に記載の方法。 4.前記可融性有機バインダー粒子が、フェノールホルムアルデヒド樹脂、フ ェノプラスト類、アミノプラスト類、不飽和ポリエステル樹脂、ビニルエステル 樹脂、アルキド樹脂、アリル樹脂、フラン樹脂、エポキシ類、ポリウレタン類お よびポリイミド類から成る群から選択される、請求項2に記載の方法。 5.前記可融性有機バインダー粒子が、有機バインダー温度活性化熱硬化性樹 脂を含み、前記液化が前記有機バインダーを流れさせるのに十分な温度で前記有 機バインダー粒子を加熱することを含み、前記凝固が前記有機バインダーをその 硬化温度以上の温度で加熱することを含む、請求項2に記載の方法。 6.前記可融性有機バインダー粒子がポリオレフィン樹脂、ビニル樹脂、セル ロース樹脂、アクリル樹脂、ポリアミド類、ポリエステル類、コポリエステル類 およびそれらの混合物から成る群から選択された有機バインダーを含む、請求項 2に記載の方法。 7.前記研磨粒子および前記可融性有機バインダー粒子を、工程(a)で研磨 粒子約70〜約80重量%と可融性有機バインダー粒子約30〜約20重量%を 含む乾燥配合物として、前記目の粗いロフティ不織ウェブに適用する、請求項2 に記載の方法。 8.前記研磨粒子が、酸化アルミニウム、石炭スラグ、フリント、炭化ケイ素 、ガーネット、シリカ、タルク、ガラス、金属粒子、および花崗岩から成る群か ら選択された材料を含む、請求項2に記載の方法。 9.前記有機繊維が、ポリエステル、ポリアミド、ポリプロピレン、アクリル 、レーヨン、酢酸セルロース、ポリ塩化ビニリデン−塩化ビニルコポリマー、塩 化ビニル−アクリロニトリルコポリマー、およびそれらの混合物から成る群から 選択された材料を含み、1〜25デニールの範囲の線密度を有する、請求項2に 記載の方法。 10.前記ウェブを前記乾燥した微粒子材料と接触させる前に、液体接着剤を 前記繊維に適用し、前記接着剤を硬化させて、前記繊維を接着させることにより 、前記繊維を互いの接点で互いに接着することを更に含む、請求項2に記載の方 法。 11.前記繊維の少なくとも一部が溶融接着可能な繊維であり、且つ前記接着 が、前記繊維を、その成分を部分的に溶融するまで加熱することと、前記成分を 凝固させて前記繊維を互いに接着するまで冷却することとにより行われる、請求 項10に記載の方法。 12.請求項1に記載の方法で製造された研磨製品。 13.請求項3に記載の方法で製造された研磨製品。
