Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1. 円筒状の外部流体透過性フィルター媒体ケージと、 前記フィルター媒体ケージ内に当該フィルター媒体ケージとの間に内部空 間が形成されるように同軸的に配設された円筒状の内部流体透過性芯材と、 前記芯材を囲んで前記内部空間内に個々のひだが当該芯材から実質的に径 方向に外側に向かって延在するように配置され長手方向に沿ってひだの形成され たフィルター媒体と、 前記ひだ付フィルター媒体の長手方向に沿った折り目と、前記フィルター 媒体ケージ及び前記芯材のうちの一方との間に形成された環状空間と を備えていることを特徴とする逆流可能なフィルターカートリッジ。 2. 前記ひだ付フィルター媒体の長手方向に沿った外側の折り目と前記フィル ター媒体ケージとの間に前記環状空間が形成されている請求項1に記載のフィル ターカートリッジ。 3. 前記芯材から前記フィルター媒体ケージに向けて径方向に流れている流体 に応答して前記ひだ付フィルター媒体の個々の隣接するひだを円周方向に沿って 向に拡張可能である請求項2に記載のフィルターカートリッジ。 4. 前記ひだ付フィルター媒体が少なくとも1枚の不織繊維フィルターを有す る請求項1に記載のフィルターカートリッジ。 5. 前記フィルター媒体ケージと前記芯材とがそれぞれ流体を透過して流すこ とができる開口を有する請求項1に記載のフィルターカートリッジ。 6. さらに前記フィルターカートリッジのそれぞれの端に一対の端キャップを 備え、少なくとも前記端キャップの一方が前記芯材の内部通路と流体連絡する排 出口を有する請求項1に記載のフィルターカートリッジ。 7. 外部フィルター媒体ケージと、前記フィルター媒体ケージ内に同軸的に配 置された内部芯材と、前記芯材を囲み長軸方向に沿ってひだが形成されたフィル ター媒体とを備え、前記フィルター媒体ケージ及び前記芯材のいずれか一方の側 に環状空間を設けた粒子付着フィルターカートリッジの逆流方法であって (a)前記フィルター媒体に捕獲された粒子が当該フィルター媒体から除去 されるのに十分な圧力下で前記フィルター媒体を透過して前記環状空間に向かう 方向に流体を流す工程、及び (b)前記フィルター媒体に捕獲された粒子が前記流体の流れに同伴して運 はれてフィルターカートリッジから除去されるのに十分な時間だけ当該流体の流 れを維持する工程 を含むことを特徴とする粒子付フィルターカートリッジの逆流方法。 8. 外部フィルター媒体ケージと、前記フィルター媒体ケージ内に同軸的に配 置された内部芯材と、前記芯材を囲み長軸方向に沿ってひだが形成されたフィル ター媒体とを備え、前記フィルター媒体ケージ及び前記芯材のいずれか一方の側 に環状空間を設け、前記フィルター媒体に捕獲されたプレコート粒子が消耗した フィルターカートリッジの再生方法であって、 (a)前記フィルター媒体に捕獲された消耗粒子が当該フィルター媒体から 除去されるのに十分な圧力下で前記フィルター媒体を透過して前記環状空間に向 かう方向に流体を流す工程、 (b)前記フィルター媒体に捕獲された消耗粒子が前記流体の流れに同伴し て運ばれてフィルターカートリッジから除去されるのに十分な時間だけ当該流体 の流れを維持する工程、次いで (c)適当量の新粒子を前記フィルター媒体に捕獲させ、前記フィルターカ ートリッジを再生させるのに十分な時間だけ前記新粒子を同伴して運ぶ流体を工 程(a)の流れ方向とは逆方向に流す工程 を含むことを特徴とするフィルターカートリッジの再生方去。 9. 前記消耗粒子及び前記新粒子がイオン交換粒子である請求項8に記載の方 法。 10. 前記工程(a)は前記ひだ付フィルター媒体の隣接するひだが互いに円周方 向に分離するように前記環状空間に向けて前記フィルター媒体の放射状拡張を生 じるように行う請求項8または9に記載の方法。
