【請求項2】 上記管周の一部に設けられた電極の少なくとも一方が、管周での長さが略管周長の整数分の1の長さになるように設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の無声放電灯。
【請求項3】 上記管周の一部に設けられた電極が、付け替え可能に設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の無声放電灯。
【請求項4】 上記放電容器内に管周方向に放電容器内の空間を仕切る仕切壁を備えていることを特徴とする請求項1,2または3に記載の無声放電灯。
【請求項5】 上記仕切壁が遮光壁であることを特徴とする請求項4記載の無声放電灯。
【請求項6】 上記仕切壁が放射される波長の光を透過しない材質の石英板からなることを特徴とする請求項4記載の無声放電灯。
【請求項7】 外側管と内側管とを備え、該外側管の内部に該内側管が配置され、該外側管内面と該内側管外面とに囲まれて形成される空間内に放電用ガスが充填された放電容器と、前記外側管の外面に設けられた外側電極と、前記内側管の内面に設けられた内側電極とを備えてなる無声放電灯において、外側電極または内側電極のいずれか一方を管の全周にわたって設け、他の一方を管周の一部に設けることによって、管周の一部で放電を行うようにされていることを特徴とする無声放電灯。
【請求項8】 外側電極が管の全周にわたって設けられ、内側電極が管周の一部に設けられていることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の無声放電灯。
【請求項9】 内側管を軸に沿って切断して形成される内側管内面形状と略一致する形状の内側電極を備え、該内側電極がバネ状の導電性補強部材により内側管に密着固定されていることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の無声放電灯。
【請求項10】 円筒状の外側管と円筒状の内側管とが同軸に配置され、半円筒状の内側電極が内側管に挿入されたコイル状の電極により密着固定されていることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の無声放電灯。
【請求項11】 管周の一部に設けられる電極が回転可能に管面に対して密着固定されていることを特徴とする請求項7、8、9または10に記載の無声放電灯。
【請求項12】 軸に垂直な断面形状が略正三角形または略方形を有する角筒状の外側管と内側管とが同軸に配置されることによって放電容器が構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1、2、3、4、6、7、8または9に記載の無声放電灯。
【請求項13】外側管の光透過率が所定の値よりも低下した場合に、放電領域を変えて放電の行われていなかった管周部で放電が行われるようにすることを特徴とする請求項1、2、3、4、5、6、7、8、9、10または11に記載の無声放電灯の使用方法。
【請求項14】外側管、該外側管の内部に配置される内側管、及び、該外側管の内面と該内側管の外面に囲まれて形成された空間に充填される放電用ガスを備えた放電容器と、
該外側管の外面に接する外側電極と、並びに、
該内側管の内面に接する内側電極とを使用して無声放電させる方法において、
該外側電極または該内側電極を管周の一部に設けることにより前記放電ガスの一部のみが放電することを特徴とする、該外側電極と該内側電極とを使用して無声放電させる方法。
