Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the assembling man-hour of and facilitate cushioning material disassembly of a mounting structure of cushioning material on vehicular trimming components such as vertically divisible door linings, by eliminating hot melt. SOLUTION: One member 11 of a vehicular trimming component has a boss 14, a cushioning material 31 has a through hole 33 in which the boss 14 is inserted, and the other member 21 of the vehicular trimming component has a mounting tongue 28 imposed on the boss 14. The boss 14 of the one member 11 is inserted in the through hole 33 of the cushioning material 31 and the mounting tongue 28 of the other member 21 is placed over the boss 14, in which state a set screw 41 is driven in the boss 14 from over the mounting tongue 28. The cushioning material 31 further has a recess 32 the through hole 33 passes, and a step via which the mounting tongue 28 of the other member 21 fits in the recess 32. The one member 11 has a projection 17 pressed against the opposite end of the cushioning material 31 to the boss 14 to position the cushioning material 31. The vehicular trimming component is typically a door lining wherein the one member is an upper member 11 and the other is a lower member 21.
